what version of RHEL is MongoDB 2.0.1 certified on? - mongodb

Could anyone please tell me what version of RHEL is mongoDb certified on?

There are users running on various 5.x and 6.x, so any of these should be good, although I would suggest the later versions of 6 as opposed to 5 if possible.

Redhat stopped CentOS 7 updates, Do we need to upgrade to CentOS 8 Stream version?

We are using 'CentOS Linux release 7.9.2009 (Core)' for production servers. But it seems that Redhat stopped Centos 7 full updates from November 2020 onwards. We are in confusion do we need to upgrade to CentOS 8 or Centos Stream?, As per Centos / wiki official docs. They were providing full/maintenance support for Centos 8 Stream still 2024. Is this Centos 8 Steam version is stable or can we continue with Centos 7 maintenance version?

In my career i have seen prod servers even running on Solaris 11 which was released 10 years ago and has no support now.
This usually depends, whether the underlying dependencies required by your application change/requires to be updated frequently or not,
If yes - Go with supported version.( which will also run out of support :D )
If No - Stay where you are. ( Best choice Mostly )

Does kubespray support CentOS 8?

I have a quick question related to "Kubespray".
Does "Kubespray" support CentOS 8?
I wanted to deploy "Kubespray" on "CentOS" and I came to know that the CentOS 8 has Kernel version 4.18 and If I can use "CentOS 8" for "Kubernetes" deployment, maybe I can get rid of the "c-group" issue which we are currently facing for all the CentOS distribution which has Kernal Version less than 4.18.
Thanks in Advance.
According to the official documentation Kubesprawy provides support for CentOS/RHEL 7 only. The problem is that:
Installing Kubespray on a RHEL8 systems does not work since the
default Python version is 3.6 and thus python3-libselinux should be
installed instead of libselinux-python. Even that python2 is still
available, the libselinux-python package is not.
I hope it helps.

What packages need to upgrade for RHEL 6.x from RHEL 5.11

i would like to know, based on what rpm packages upgrade i can upgrade my RHEL version 5.11 to 6.x
We can't use re-installation of RHEL 6.x, so wanted an option(s) to upgrade to RHEL 6.x from 5.x by upgrading all needful packages.
By upgrading kernal or core rhel release rpm, can we upgrade to latest?
Please let me know details. Thank you.
In place upgrades between 4, 5, and 6 are not supported by RedHat and you risk impacting the support that you pay for by doing so. The only supported upgrade path is from 6 to 7. The expectation is that an upgrade path will continue in future releases.
You state that you cannot re-install but don't state why. Is it because the criticality of the system or is it because of the configuration of the application? I'm guessing the latter and that the system is not all that critical (because otherwise you wouldn't want to impact your support agreement). With that said, there is a way to upgrade and the procedure is provided by RedHat but, again, it is not supported by them.

Is there a MongoDB 2.4+ installation available for Arm chips?

I'm interested in building a small server using the Odroid U3 which has 1.7GHz Quad-Core chip. I did install MongoDB 2.1.1 on a Raspberry but found the performance far too low for any serious usage other than tinkering. I was wondering there is a MongoDB package/instruction/tutorial somewhere to install newer versions of MongoDB. Any suggestion/help would be appreciated
You may use mongodb-linux-armv7l-2.4.1.tgz that I've uploaded, taken from a JIRA comment. An experimental but working build. Not production ready.
There is a really up to date version of MongoDB for Arm chips on ArchLinux. Its currently 2.6.1+ and no need for compiling. Is also production ready - albeit with the limitations MongoDB 32bit has.
As of version 3.4 MongoDb officially supports ARM 64.
One thing to note though: Currently (v3.4.0) Only the Wired Tiger storage engine is currently supported.
The current version can be downloaded here: https://fastdl.mongodb.org/linux/mongodb-linux-arm64-ubuntu1604-3.4.0.tgz
You may watch this thread on Github of DietPi for update.
For now I have tested prebuild MongoDB 3.0.14 Binaries for Odroid XU4 Running DietPi_OdroidXU4-ARMv7-Jessie and it is working fine. Pl check bellow screenshot.

How to upgrade Fuse Servicemix 4.2.0 to 4.4.0

Has any one attempted this before? I would like to know how to upgrade from 4.2 to 4.4 bearing in mind that there are exisiting services on the latter, which I hope will still work on the newly upgraded 4.4.
FuseSource offers migration guides. If you are a FuseSource subscriber then I suggest to use that channel to help with the upgrade.
