I have tried using many plugins for FB Comments in WP. But all these plugins are cluttered and rersults in conflicts and many bugs. So I have decided to insert fb comments manually into my website and I have did that too. The problem now is I am not getting new comments into my moderation queue though I have set "Allow comments after my approval" in Moderation settings of my FB app. Even through my website I am getting only " Hide, Ban, Boost comments". Approve is not there. Have I missed something to be done while inserting fb comments?
If you specified the fb:appId and fb:admins correctly per the documentation (https://developers.facebook.com/docs/reference/plugins/comments/ and https://developers.facebook.com/blog/post/490)
then go to
http://developers.facebook.com/tools/comments.

All the Facebook comments have disappeared from our site's webpages (see: http://www.around-around.com/wanted-13/).
I've run the pages through the Debugger, and it appears that they're ok (just warnings about descriptions, etc.).
But when I was trying to see if there was new code for the comment box from FB, I used the FB comment plugin creator—that's when something strange happened. The example site shows up just fine; our site is rendered with a .... Weird! Frustrating!
We've been using FB comments for over a year now, and they work pretty well. But this is really frustrating. Here's some proof: https://graph.facebook.com/?ids=http://www.around-around.com/wanted-12/
Have we been...um...banned?
It's a facebook comments plugin issue at the moment. Check this https://developers.facebook.com/bugs/383938611736678?browse=external_tasks_search_results_5269356c254c23e51751890
Hopefully it will be fixed soon.
I have some problem with the Facebook plugins in the site: www.talnavarro.com
In some posts the like button counter always stays on zero, but there are some posts that the counter works just fine.
I've tried to disable all the social plugins in my site (maybe some conflict between them) and put simple Facebook like code from the Facebook developers site, and still the counter didn't work.
another problem is that my Facebook comments sometimes disappear...
So basely, what that i need is someone that will fix my social plugins in my site..
Thank you
according to http://www.facebook.com/help/?faq=210086019031867 there are 6 meta tags that your page should have. Debug your page url with the linter tool (
http://developers.facebook.com/tools/debug) and check that the debug tool read ALL the required meta tags. In my case I missed the fb:app_id and og:site_name (looks like fb became more strict about it because it used to work without it).
I have built several websites, and for some reason none of them will post to my wall anymore when I "like" a blog post, or like the site in general. (Using Iframe) Example:
http://madhatterulti.com/
http://www.reyniersaudio.com/blog/
The funny thing is, I had a friend try it, and it posted to his wall fine. Though, this person did not have timeline enabled, and I do.
Anyone have any ideas?
It appears the "like" appears in my "activity log". By default, the "like" is set to be "allowed on timeline". I am able to change this to "hidden from timeline". This setting implies to me that it should be showing up on the timeline.. yet it is not. Also, I can change the setting to "featured on timeline", but once again, this does not work.
It seems that the way the Like button works has changed (or not really!). I tried liking one of your blog posts and my own website and nothing appeared on the timeline. But reading the Like button introduction:
The Like button lets a user share your content with friends on
Facebook. When the user clicks the Like button on your site, a story
appears in the user's friends' News Feed with a link back to your
website.
And indeed, it appeared on my friend's news feed and ticker!
I suppose we cannot consider the timeline as the new news feed. Because it's not!
AND it seems that there are two ways a liked URL is going to appear on the user timeline which are
1) when the user has something to say, i.e when the user writes something along with the like:
2) if you click on the More Recent Activity block. And allow this activity to appear on your timeline.
Now maybe there are other cases (that I'm not aware of!) for a liked URL to appear in the user's timeline directly (maybe with custom Open Graph objects or a custom Facebook script that would decide for you?).
I linted one of your URLs and it states the the fb:admin and fb:app_id should be specified for better click-thru rates
Like Button Warnings That Should Be Fixed
Admins And App ID Missing: fb:admins and fb:app_id tags are missing. These tags are necessary for Facebook to render a News Feed
story that generates a high clickthrough rate

I have timeline enabled and it did no post to my timeline at all. Strange huh?
EDIT
Based upon some comments from Roeland on other responses:
The funny thing is, this worked about a week ago. It WOULD post to my
timeline. In addition, if I go to my "activity log" it shows that I
liked something. It also supposedly lets me "allow it on the timeline"
which is the setting by default.. yet it does not show up on my
timeline
I'm wondering if it could have something to do with too many people reporting the stories as spam, or the app id was hijacked and used for spam purposes (or the domain/ip being marked as abusive, etc). Maybe this has caused Facebook to become more cautious when "showing" this liked content. ifaour has seen the content on his feed and timeline, however I could not get it to show.
My concern is that no app_id was specified and not admin was specified either. You can reuse the same app_id with many comments/like buttons (contrary to your assertion that you must have a new app id for each like button...not sure where that came from).
Is there a way to auto-approve and make all the Comments Plugin's comments public by default?
Also I really need to know on what basis the comments are held for moderation. On some pages, they are public by default, on others they end up in moderation queue.
---------- Update 0 ---------
I removed fb:admins, the moderation UI has disappeared, but the moderation is still in effect. I get the admin UI when I load the page logged in with the App admin creds, and the I can see the comments are in the moderation queue (even new ones). I have even ticked "Make every post visible to everyone by default".
What seems to be the problem?
I have determined the cause of this issue.
It turns out that if you try and post to a comment box using a 'fresh' facebook account, these comments are automatically added to the moderation queue. This makes sense as the users posting these comments look like spammers.
Go into any of your page with facebook comments included.
And then click the settings which is top right corner of comments box.
Find
Make every post public by default
among options
and click that option and save.
We recently launched a website (http://olssongerthel.se) that uses FB comments on a number of pages (200-300 atm I believe). To easily moderate the comments (and get an overview) I followed the instructions and added the FB app ID as well as the user ID's of the moderators. It seems to work fine, as insights is working, and changing the settings for the comments box from http://developers.facebook.com/tools/comments works as intended. However, according to insights, there has been 7 comments in total on the website (it doesn't say where) but no comments have showed up on the administration page (http://developers.facebook.com/tools/comments). Have I missed something or is it just plain wrong information I'm getting from insights.
I can of course manually check those 200-300 pages to see if there's a comment, but I'd rather not :/
