Connecting to TFS with the Cross-platform Command-line Client for Team Foundation Server - osx-lion

Has anyone used the Cross-platform Command-line Client for Team Foundation Server? I am trying to connect and it's basically giving me no response or a vague error every time I try to connect. I have set up the proper paths and it seems to be responding - just not authenticating. The specific error text, when present is: error: "An argument error occurred"

You can make the tool authenticate (and move on to even more annoying errors) by providing a profile file in the ~/.microsoft/.../profiles directory. The easiest way to do this (IMHO) is to install the eclipse plugin and use the GUI to fill in the parameters for establishing a connection to the repository. This will create a profile file, which you can then refer to in the -profile option on the command line tool.

Angular Live Development Server api requests not found

really confused about this and don't know where to start.
Basically i have generated a new angular project with the "dotnet new angular" command.
Im using a fresh machine, node, npm etc etc are all up to date.
My issue is this template just does not work out of the box. When i run the application, all of the frontend will load however, any requests to the api's etc will 404 stating that it cannot find the url.
Message in Chrome console: "Error: Uncaught (in promise): Error: Cannot match any routes. URL Segment..."
My application runs on a different port everytime I execute the "dotnet run" command. Is this supposed to be the case ? Whichever port is generated, this will be the problematic one.
I have to manually change to port 5001 for anything to function correctly (although this comes with annoying security prompts.)
I am using visual studio code for this project. The funny thing is, if i run this project via visual studio (not code) i get a consistent static port number that will function as intended (this also comes with annoying security prompts) so i have to assume its this random port number that vscode is generating ?
Im honestly not to familiar with this so I could be way off admittedly. Any help or advice would be appreaciated. I'd post code snippets if I knew where to start.
PS, I know that I can of course just not run it with VSCode and just stick to Visual Studio. I'd rather understand the issue than ignore it though.
Thanks, in advance.

Eclipse save error when trying to open the design view of a synapse config file in WS02 Developer Studio

I'm following the tutorials and samples of the official WSO2 ESB documentation. When I create (or load) a synapse configuration in the WSO2 Developer Studio I'm getting the error as shown below:
Save problems
Save could not be completed.
Reason:
resources\sunErrorHandler.esb_diagram (The system cannot find the path specified)
This error shows up when I want to open anything in the Design view. Even when I'm not trying to save anything.
So far I have tried to add the path specified in the error, but without success. I already found a workaround to be able to save and deploy my ESB configurations. By using "Save as" I'm able to keep the changes I made in the XML files. However the error stills shows up when I open the new version of the file.
Does anyone know a better solution to permanently resolve this error message?
I had this problem as well, running eclipse.exe as administrator fixed it.
Issue remains unresolved for my Eclipse + DevStudio 3.8.0 install on a Windows 10 environment. However since I was experiencing some other issues with the WSO2 ESB I decided to migrate to a Linux (Ubuntu) environment. This seems to work much better, the eclipse does not seem to have this issue on Linux.
Eclipse want to write in C:\Program Files\eclipse\resources. I solve problem by adding full permissions to group users on folder C:\Program Files\eclipse
If this happens in Mac you can provide the required permission to the "/Applications/IntegrationStudio.app/Contents/MacOS/resources" folder.

How do I change an entity framework project to use Microsoft SQL Server

I am trying to debug a program using Entity Framework code first on my personal (work) computer.
We have recently had a domain migration, meaning that the user I log in as now is not the same that I used before. This caused me to loose access to the databases I had on the computer. To get around this, I have uninstalled everything to do with Microsoft SQL Server on the computer, and installed the latest version of Microsoft SQL Server, 2014 - 12.0.4213.0 . I then restored the database I need.
When I first tried to run the program, Visual Studio complained that the project is set up to use SQL Server Express, which was not installed. The recommended solution is to change the project to use SQL Server instead. To do this, I must click on "the database file" and follow the instructions. I have looked through the entire solution. There is a great many files, but I found no good candidate for "the database file."
It seems that my Google fu is not strong enough to find anything about this. So my question is: how do I change the project to use SQL Server?
I also have a second, related question. I tried to solve the problem by installing SQL Server Express. However, when I try to restore the database to this, no base appears in the drop down list. When I try to run the program now, I get another error:
Unable to create the file 'c:\Program Files\Microsoft SQL Server\MSSQL11.SQLEXPRESS\MSSQL\DATA\Timelønsblanket.mdf' because it already exists.
I guess that this is also why I cannot restore the database. What I have found in websearches warns that I should not manually delete .mdf files.
Any advice on what to do?
I have solved the problem. All that was needed was a correct connection string. No need to find a "database file".

Connection timeout when getting plugin list or updating Eclipse PDT

I'm working on win 7 and trying to get Zend Eclipse to run properly for a CakePHP project. But when try to access the plugin list via the welcome page I get this error:
A problem occurred while accessing the update site.
RemoteBundleDiscoveryStrategy failed with an error
Unable to read repository at http://downloads.zend.com/studio-eclipse/updates-extra/10_0/pdt_directory.xml.
Connect timed out
I've tried severalt solutions I found on the net but nothing worked. My proxy settings are fine since I can access all sites via the internal browser of eclipse. My guess is, that there is some restriction in the Windows administration that is keeping me from getting the plugin list.
When I try to update Eclipse the update window tries half an hour to contact the software site and after that I get this error message:
Some sites could not be found. See the error log for more detail.
Communication with repository at http://downloads.zend.com/studio-eclipse/updates/10_0 failed.
Connect timed out
Finally!!
The problem was that is were actually two problems. First one was that Eclipse wasn't saving the username and password for the proxy settings. After finally finding the eclipse error log in
"{eclipse-workspace}/.metadata/.log"
(there seems to be no way to view the file in zend-eclipse itself) I found out that Eclipse was trying to save the password-file into the Administrator's user directory but had no access. (Oh what a surprise)
Putting this into the "zend-eclipse-php.ini" worked for me:
-eclipse.keyring C:\eclipse\keyring.txt
After this was done I could finally save username and password for the proxy but still no connection. When I took another look into the error log I found this error:
"!MESSAGE System property http.proxyHost is not set but should be {proxyname}
!MESSAGE System property http.proxyPort is not set but should be {proxyport}"
and 4 more for https and socks. After googling this error I came upon a fixed bug:
https://bugs.eclipse.org/bugs/show_bug.cgi?id=281472
where it states that maybe the proxy refuses SOCKS. So I cleared the settings for SOCKS and tried again and IT WORKED! Finally!
Hope this description can anyone else with these problems.

Error deploying SSRS report to Dynamics AX 2009

I have a very simple Dynamics AX Reporting project with a dataset using the Dynamics AX data source hitting a custom query I created in the AOT. The report builds succesfully in VS2008, and when I attempt to deploy the report, an error is returned "Deployment failed unexpectedly with the message: The following components have not been installed or are not configured correctly: Reporting Extensions". The "Save to AOD" function also returns an "unknown error."
The VS2008 error shows the problem to be on the line referencing the DeployToReportsServerTask in the file:
Microsoft.Dynamics.Framework.Design.Reporting.Modeling.targets
From within AX, using the Reporting servers form (Administration > Setup > Business analysis > Reporting Services > Reporting Servers), the Validate (button) returns a "success" message. Also, I can browse the reports directory on the server and my local PC through IE. My AX client configuration also launches & connects to the correct AOS.
Any ideas as to what may be the problem? Not sure what else I can check.
Thanks in advance!
Is this helpful?
Then login to aos server. Open internet explorer. browse the report server and manager url. If you can
see the dynamics ax folder just try to get inside the folder and browse a single report manually. If you
may able to browse then there is no issue eixt. Just restart the iis on reporting server. If you may not
able to browse then add the particular port to firewall. or disable the firewall. In the mean time just chekc
you may using NTLM authentication or kerberos authentication.

Using the Dynamics AX Configuration utility, is the Target "Business connector (non-interactive use only)" set up to point to the correct AOS?
The problem was reporting tools also had to be installed on the AOS server (with the reporting extensions). The reporting tools were only installed on my dev box. Additionally, my deployment process was also not correct. The correct process in my environment is:
1) In VS (on dev box), on the reports library project node in the solution explorer, right click, Save to AOD
2) In AX (on AOS), open report libraries in AOT, find library, right click, deploy (follow prompts).
3) open in IE and run reports.
I had the same error, but I resolved this by using VS in Administrative Mode i.e. Open the VS as Administrator.
Don't know how but it will help me.
