I have 3 different kinds of in my website, and I want to give be able to give different classes from the backend using the RTE from the Text Element. It should look like this:
<ul class="type2">
....
</ul`>
I thought I should use one of the 3 boxes from the RTE, probably "blockstyle", but im not sure how to add new options to this dropdow. Can someone please help me? Thanks!
The standard RTE editor (rtehtmlarea) populates the class list by parsing the CSS file that you set for it so all you need to do is to define ul.type2 in that CSS file. See the manual of the extension and search for contentCSS property. Example:
RTE.default.contentCSS = fileadmin/template/rte.css
Note that you might have to set it also for each table, e.g.:
RTE.config.tt_content.bodytext.contentCSS = fileadmin/template/rte.css
This depends on your configuration and whether you already have default settings (RTE.default) copied into other configurations. See Info -> [page] -> Page TSconfig -> RTE. for your current settings.

Is there a way to get the Log In Form for Frontend User on every page? I would prefer the footer.
And if someone is logged in you can see the Log Out Button.
Is this possible without an extension?
You can copy the default felogin output to wherever you want on your template. For example use lib.login, copy the plugin.tx_felogin_pi1 into it, change the template and you're fine.
lib.login < plugin.tx_felogin_pi1
lib.login.templateFile = path/to/your/template/file
More you can see in the official documentation: https://docs.typo3.org/typo3cms/extensions/felogin/8.7/Configuration/Index.html
In general there are three options to include a CE (e.g. the Login-form) on all pages:
use typoscript to generate the CE. Normally the CEs are defined in tt_content, from where you could copy the base configuration and adapt it. For some plugins you also find a complete configuration beyond lib (for newer extensions there you only find the settings). All the configuration must be done in typoscript.
use typoscript to render the content of a special page/ column. In this variant you have a special page only for content referenced somewhere else. Advantage: you could configure the CE in the usual way. Try to avoid referencing CEs by uid as an editor might disable or delete the current element(s) and insert a new one which would not be rendered.
use a special column in your root page and inherit the content to all subpages. Advantage: you could change the inherited content easily on each page (if this column is available in the current backend layout).
example for 3:
variables {
footer_content < styles.content.get
footer_content.select.where = colPos = 15
footer_content.slide = -1
}
i want to add more backend colors in Typo3 Gridelements.
Under Typo3 -> List -> CE Backend Layout is an Option "Frame" with 4 colors and i want to add more colors.
Is there a way for it?
Best Regards
You probably want to use something like this in your pageTS:
TCEFORM.tx_gridelements_backend_layout{
frame{
addItems{
10 = unicorn-pink
}
}
}
You can change every field from every table with this method.
See https://docs.typo3.org/typo3cms/TSconfigReference/PageTsconfig/TCEform/Index.html for further information about this.
Just adding the value in TCEFORM might not be enough, since you will need to add CSS to get the colors assigned to those new classes.
So you will at least need to have a small extension providing the items, a basic folder structure as in the usual sitepackages and the CSS embedded via ext_tables.php and/or ext_localconf.php
Trying to access a few settings that I've created in my constants.txt file. It looks like this:
plugin.tx_my_ext {
settings {
# cat=plugin.tx_my_ext/urgences; type=boolean; label=Activer les urgences
activerUrgences = 0
}
}
Then in my setup.txt file I have this:
plugin.tx_my_ext.settings.activerUrgences = {$plugin.tx_my_ext.settings.activerUrgences}
Any reason why I wouldn't be able to access my settings using {settings} in my Fluid layout?
BTW, my extension name does include an underscore _ between the words. I have tried removing the underscore, then removing the tx_, and then a combination of those two.
Any help would be appreciated!
Thanks
For ext with key my_ext it should be plugin.tx_myext.settings
Make sure that you 'Included static from extension' in your TypoScript Template. If your ext is not available on the list add it in ext_localconf.php like that:
\TYPO3\CMS\Core\Utility\ExtensionManagementUtility::addStaticFile($_EXTKEY, 'Configuration/TypoScript', 'MyExt');
Do not forget to clear System cache and FE cache at least million times ;)
Use TypoScript object browser to check if on given page your plugins TS is still available (maybe something resets TS in meanwhile:
Finally make sure that you don't clear $this->settings array within your controller, if you do manipulate it for any reason assign it to the view again before view rendering,like that:
$this->view->assign('settings', $this->settings);
I found in typo3 admin side(/typo3), you can have two ways to set up TS,
you can set up through template->root, I think TS here will affect the whole site.
you can set up through template->certain page, it will only affect this page.
So my question is:
If I want to find where(which page) has TS setting such as : code = LIST, how could I do?
Use Web > Template module it has tools, you can for an example use Template Analyzer for the search
Try querying the database in phpMyAdmin or similar. The following looks in Template Setup:
SELECT pid, config, constants
FROM sys_template
WHERE config LIKE '%code = LIST%'
Replace config with constants to look in Template Constants. pid is the page ID.
If it is not set in the TypoScript, it perhaps has been set in the plugin itself. Just check the plugin content element itself.
In the Template module, go to the page where the setting is in effect.
Use the TSOB (Typo Script Object Browser) to search for "list":
This must show you all TS for this page that contains "list".
If you don't see the setting you can run a cmd/ctrl-F Search over the entire results.
You would have to search for "[code] = LIST".
Which will lead you to the following entry:
Hovering over the label will produce the above tooltip. Copy the line number.
Now change to the Template Analyzer. Here, you can click through all cascading templates and search for the line number:
This is definitely the line that sets that value.
From the "Template hierarchy" tree you will easily find the template that contains the setting.
I need a content element that cointains apsects from the "Textpic" and the "Media" content elements.
Basically I need the whole palette of input masks of the textpic CE (headline, rte text, images) plus the media tab (swf, mp4, mov) from the media content element.
This special requirements for our project comes from the need that we can only use one content element for our specific javascript content slieder. So I can not use like a Textpic and underneath a media CE. No it really has to be just one CE which can handle the textpic + the media CE stuff.
Generally I ask you: Is there already a extension, trick, modification or a framework which I can/should be use to achive that i can "fusionate" content elements? Like an "all-in-one"-content element, a multi content element?
Ps: I do not use Templavoila. My Typo3 version is 4.5
I think this is the tutorial you're looking for:
http://castironcoding.com/resources/our-blog/sp/view/single/post/reason-6-for-choosing-typo3-custom-content-elements-and-extbase-again-part-23.html
Follow step 2 and 3.
You'll also need to add a specific rendering config in Typoscript ie: tt_content._your-ce_
But it can be copied from out of tt_content.textpic and tt_content.media. You can find the expample typoscript of before mentioned CE's in: typo3/sysext/css_styled_content/static/setup.txt. Just don't alter it there, but make a copy and alter in your own file.
As you seem to only talk about reusing already exisiting fields, you really only need to change the backend interface (big keyword: "showitem"). You'll need the database names of the fields (peek into the tt_content table of some records where you know the contents), alternatively visit the module Admin Tools / Configuration, select TCA in top dropdown menu, open tt_content and columns.
Try http://blog.chandanweb.com/typo3/adding-new-fields-to-existing-typo3-tables-at-desired-location, you'll of course have to substitue tt_content for tt_news etc.
You might also want to make a new type (the above recipe is for changing a preexisitent), but I'm sorry, I'm currently out of time for explaining that. It's not very hard, though, and the castiron link by Koopa will help you on your way.
Perhaps you can wrap the content column in another div? You can use that outer div for your content slider. Now you actually use all content elements seperately, but combine then for usage.
