Facebook Request Dialog on Website - facebook

I saw this:
http://demo.vatlab.net/RequestDialog.aspx
How they do this? Is the "Facebook Request Dialog" can be in a regular website, not canvas?
I'm looking for solution like this for a couple of days.
Thanks

You can use the dialog anywhere, but users will always be brought back to your canvas app (or mobile app) - if you don't have a canvas app (or mobile app) they won't see the requests

This is their tutorial on the subject.

On Facebook is it possible to force an app to display as a page tab?

I have a Facebook app the currently consists of 3 elements - an App on Facebook, Mobile Web, and a Page Tab.
Currently if I use the app URL it detects whether I am on a mobile or not and directs me to either the app on Facebook or the mobile web site.
What I'd like it to do is always show the app in the context of the page tab. Is there anyway to force this?
I tried looking at whether I could use the page tab URL directly and have that redirect to the mobile but depending on how I've linked it either returns a 404 or just takes you to the Facebook page. I appreciate I could do my own mobile detection but I thought I'd check if I'm missing something in Facebook first.
I wrote an explanation of how to do this here: https://stackoverflow.com/questions/14434072/create-facebook-page-tab-and-publish-template-on-it/14455665#14455665
Hope this is what you are after!

How can I make Facebook App page visible on mobile?

On my client's Fanpage, a third party app is running for a contest. How can I make this FB contest page available on mobile? I read the answer here:

Facebook SDK : Page Tab App returns not found in mobile Facebook App
I do not understand it clearly.
Is the query parameter ?ref-ts which we have to add at the end of URL?
What does it mean by "It helps in the browser but not the app itself."?
Will it help to see the App on mobile and click on it to go to the contest page on FB?
Also, I found this answer:
Works as advertised! Thank you. I was getting 404, but simply adding
ref=ts in my redirect URLs (I force users to use my app as a page tab)

under the first link above but what is forcing users to use app as a page tab?
How can I set App as a page tab?
little bit confused.
I searched the web vigorously but did not get any clear explanation.
My observations about this issue:
Seems like it's an ANDROID issue, Work OK on iPhone's
Work with the link redirection services like Bit.ly (where the bit.ly link included the ref=ts)
I sent an email to Facebook for ANDROID developers.
Hi,
my iPhone's user colleagues can open links to page tab app with ref=ts
parameters but on Android we can't ;-(
The only way we've been able to do it is when the link to the app is
under a bit.ly redirection link
The problem is only when the links are open through the Facebook App.
Thanks

You can access to your app using the next link https://apps.facebook.com/YOUR-APP-ID
In this way, you can access from a desktop or a mobile with no problem.

Invite friends for a website app (FB.ui apprequests)

I have a problem with making apprequests for my website application. I can send invite with FB.ui "apprequests" method but this request is not shown on Facebook. It looks like it is blocked because it fires notification icon but in a second notification disappears.
I've found a workaround. I set application also as a canvas and make redirection from canvas to the website page. But I don't know if it will not be blocked or something in the future.
What is the recommended method to send an application requests from a website application?
From my experience and from reading the Facebook Developer Guide, it seems like it's mandatory for you to have a Canvas defined for your Facebook app so the requests render as Notifications.
I am trying to solve a problem where these notifications show fine in the Facebook website but not on the Facebook Android client's notification popup.
I personnally use this code, that works :
FB.ui({method: 'apprequests', message: 'my message'},function(response){'my callback'});
I hope this will help you.
After a bit of research and trial/error, I found that that you must use canvas.
So, to get my users out of canvas and onto my site, I created a static landing page with a large "Get Started" button hyperlink with a "target='_blank'" tag. This opens my site into a new browser window. I then used that static landing as my "CanvasURL / Secure Canvas URL" for my "App on Facebook"

Post On Facebook Wall From Windows Phone

I want my application to post something on Facebook wall. My application is supposed to run on WP7.
Is there any way of opening a web browser with a default Facebook (hosted on Facebook server) publishing form? I see different websites opening a new window with that form when Share button is clicked and then you click Publish and here you go - the post is on the wall :)
WebBrowserTask is pretty limited and seems to be able to send only GET data but even then... I don't know what kind of data and how named it should be sent. Anyone?
Why not use the Facebook Developer's Toolkit to post via API instead of trying to use a browser?
You can try Post to Facebook user wall using Facebook.dll in WP7.
If you want to post on someone other than the user's wall, then the Facebook SDK is required. But if you just want to quickly add the option to share something to Facebook, you could just open a new WebBrowserTask and have it go to http://www.facebook.com/share.php, and just add u and t to the URL. u being the URL to share, and t being the Title.
But from what's been said it seems the SDK is what your going to want.

Facebook Connect for iPhone - Request to like a page

I'm not sure if this is possible but using Facebook Connect for iPhone, can you request to like a facebook page? If this means showing the FB dialog box that is fine!
Many thanks
If you haven't resolved this one, here is a neat tutorial:
