I have uploaded some application on the iTunes Connect and its status is "Ready for sale" but now require to change some content of the application on the iTunes Connect like support URL or marketing URL etc.
So its require to add the new version of the application or with in that version i can change the content and if possible then i have done as per it but content is not updated on the live means in the itunes but when i see the iTunes Connect i will find the updated content over there but in real anyone see the app on the App Store then they find the old content only.
So now what all are the steps i require to update the content.
You do not need to add a new version in order to change the metadata. Just update itunesConnect and it will replicate to the app store. This might take a while.
Note that you can not change categories or keywords without resubmitting a new binary.
Select the app icon on itunes and then view detail, and then edit your provided info

I just released an iPhone app and am updating its support site. I've used the iTunes Link Maker to create a link like below. One time, it opened iTunes, the rest of the times, it has not. I've tried closing iTunes, accessing the link from both Safari and Chrome, but each time I only see the iTunes preview in the browser.
Example:
My App on the App Store
ANSWER: (see discussion below)
Pulling the href from the "View in App Store" link in iTunes Connect:
My App on the App Store
NOTE: Trailing params might be different in your own case.

I usually grab the link from the apps' detail page in iTunes Connect. There's a link named View in App Store that has worked for my so far. Just make sure to replace the locale identifier (defaults to us) in the link if your app is available in multiple stores.
Just use iTunes Link Maker and remove the country code (i.e. "us") out of the link and it would always work open iTunes always and not a browser on the way (if there is iTunes installed on the target system).
You can also remove the app_name you don't really need it (if your app name would be changed nothing happen, actually the name is ignored).
I already filled the all details for app through my iOS Developer account and submit the app for review to the app store but for some reasons i take my app back and delete all the details for particular app from my developer account but now when i again trying to upload the app for review it shows the Name already exist because of my app is submit with the same name again how can i over come this problem i want to upload my app with the same name again.
Thanks In Advance...
It seems you deleted your app, so you can't reuse the App Name.
From iTunes Connect Developer Guide:
If you have created an app in iTunes Connect that you no longer need
to see or manage, you can delete it from your iTunes Connect view.
IMPORTANT: Deleting your app will not allow you to reuse your SKU or
App Name in the same account again and you will not be able to
restore your app once deleted. If you have uploaded a binary or set
up this app for the iAd Network, your Bundle ID will not be reusable
either.
In my application I need to have one link which is directly conncect to the app store and it is the link of my application on iTunes App Store. Can anyone please let me know how to do it?
When you add the app to iTunes Connect, it gets an Apple ID (a 9 or 10 digit number). You can use a URL of the form http://itunes.apple.com/app/id<your_id> to link to your app in the store, for example http://itunes.apple.com/app/id417817520 if your Apple ID was 417817520.
The link will only work after the app has been approved of course.
You can now use Short Links:
appstore.com/exampleappname
Just strip all white space from the app name. More in this Apple tech note:

We can generate the app link before the application being submitted to iTunes app store for review.
Here you need to follow the below mentioned steps.
(1) First login to your app store developer account and go to iTunes Connect.
(2) Then go to the option "Manage Your Applications".
(3) Now create new application here and add meta data and all the information about the application like Description, Category, Keywords, Price, etc. which can be edited later. Here you just remaining with the binary submission which you can do after adding the app store link.
(4) After creating your application here from the "Manage Your Application" section, you will get the Application listed. Now you select the app and then in the top menu click on More -> View on App Store.
(5) Now copy the link opened in the browser and that is the link of your application.
https://itunes.apple.com/app/appname/id123456789?ls=1&mt=8
- Where appname = name of the application
- id123456789 = it will be the ID of your App
These are the simplest steps to create APP store link before the app being submitted to app store actually.
Let me know if you need more help.
You can just use http://itunes.com/apps/[your company name]/[your app name].
Both the company name and the app name are without spaces and lowercase.
Is there anyway to change the app name in iTunes connect. It took me 3 or 4 goes to try and upload my app the first time and somehow I made a bit of a mess of it.
iTunes Connect is now telling that the app name has been used and cannot be reused. Is there anyway around this ?
The actual app name that appears on the device is correct, I edited this on the info.plist.
Regards,
Stephen
As of right now, no. You can change the App's name when you submit an update, or simply create a new App in iTunes connect. You might want to submit a feature request to Apple at http://bugreport.apple.com.
From the Deleting an App section of Apple's iTunes Connect Guide guide:
If you delete your app, you cannot reuse your SKU or app
name in the same account again, and you cannot restore the app you
have deleted. If you have uploaded a binary or set up this app for the
iAd network, your Bundle ID cannot be reused.
Next they mention this:
If you are selling your app to another developer for their own
distribution and need to remove it from your iTunes Connect account,
we recommend that you use App Delete so that the app’s name will be
freed for their use.
So if you are more attached to your app name than your developer account you could start a new one and get the name back.
In Build and Analyze 93 Marco discusses some reasons and logistics of having 2 developer accounts. As I remember: Apple does not allow 2 accounts with one tax ID but if you have your personal and an LLC for instance you'll be able to setup multiple.
If your application is in Waiting for review mode then you can change your app name inside Viewdetails->Metadata and Uploads->app name
If your application is in live mode then you need to submit new version with new name.
It looks like you can edit it when in an 'editable state', but I have not tried it yet.

Once the iPhone app is in Ready for Sale status, then I want to change some details like support URL or keywords, would it change the status to In Review and again I will have to wait?
You can only change the keywords when you change the binary! We learned this the hard way after our first release.
Support URL and App Description can be changed at any time.
Changing support URL or the app description will NOT change the status of the app. In fact, nothing will unless you explicitely remove the current version from the App Store or upload a new binary (and in that case the current version will remain on sale for the time being).
You can always edit the following information:
Copyright
Description
EULA
Localization deletion
Marketing URL
Rights & Pricing
Contact Email Address
Support URL
Privacy Policy URL
Release Notes
You can only edit the following information if your app is in an editable state:
Categories
Keywords
Large Icon
Localization addition
App Name
Ratings
Review Notes
Screenshots
Version Number
Version Release Control
Editable states are:
Prepare For Upload
Waiting For Upload
Waiting For Review
Waiting For Export Compliance
Upload Received
Rejected
Metadata Rejected
Developer Rejected
Invalid Binary
Missing Screenshot (iOS only)
To make changes to your app's Rights and Pricing, In-App Purchases, Game Center, iAd Network settings, and Newsstand go to the app's App Summary page on the Manage Your Applications module. You can edit additional items on the app's Version Details page. Submitted changes should be visible on the App Store within 24 hours.
