FB Application post on user news feed as application - facebook

Not sure if this is possible (or if there is a similar way to do that):
I have an Facebook application that when a user installs it I want to generate news feeds to show to this user and only.
I would like that the news feed posts are personified by the application and not the user itself.
Is this possible?
If not, is there a way to achieve the same thing with a FB Page?
Thanks!

No, there's no way to write on a user's Timeline on behalf of an App or a Page, the posts will always be attributed to a user.
If you need to communicate directly with a user the best options are to either get their email address from the API or use Requests

Is there API to get someone's facebook profile with out login to facebook?

I was wondering if its possible to get one's facebook profile (to be exact,'profile url') through their API?
I need an api to get fb profile link using a matching email address. I dont want to login to facebook though.I was trying to search for this but it seems you need to log in to facebook to get that.
Any idea or is it feasible?
You need ID of the concerned user which can't be achieved without using the Facebook Login, since Facebook login is the starting point to get the current user info (/me).
Search API could have helped you since you have the email ids of users, but unfortunately this api doesn't support user search with email!
So, answer is simple- NO, you cannot get the ID (profile link) of the user without using the facebook login.
Not that I can think of. Facebook's Graph API gives you some public info but that info given depends on the users Facebook's settings on what is public or not. You could maybe get some users profile picture but not others, making it not a very viable option for practical use. Hope that helps

perl Facebook::Graph API check if user likes page

I'm using Facebook::Graph and any time a page is loaded, I would like to detect server-side if a user has liked a certain page or not. I can't find in the documentation how to do this though. Is it possible to do this without sending the user ID to my server-side script? Because I know using the javascript SDK you can check this, but I feel like it might be different with a server-side API.
Not sure what you mean with "anytime a page is loaded"... I guess you mean an page of an App? If so, you need the user_likes permission to be able to get the information on the User's likes.
If you're using a Page Tab App, then you could get this info out of the signed_request which is passed to the App once the User accesses it from the Facebook Page Tab. See https://developers.facebook.com/docs/reference/login/signed-request/ The indicator is in the page.liked field.

Allow user to post to friends wall as user (not as app)

Is there a way (perhaps through a rest api or graph api) to allow a user of my application to write on a friends wall without the usual 'on behalf of' or posted by my application? I know many people will not authorize an application that can post on your behalf, but I'd still like my users to be able to easily write on friends walls (without leaving the game page). I'm fine with it not promoting my game in any way - it should look just like it would if done through Facebook's site. I know there is something like this for Google+ using their mobile restful interface. Is this possible for Facebook and if so, how?
No, I don’t think there is a way of doing that. If a user uses an app to create content, then it will show that he used this app.

Facebook get users that like our business page

Our business wants to give a free gift to all the users that like our facebook page. Do you know a way to get the list of emails with all users that liked our page?
Is it possible to obtain that using graph API?
Is there any possibility to offer this functionality to our customers? My problem will reduce to check if one user likes our page.
Radu,
This is not possible at (with FB API) at this time.
See here
You could create tab (with a canvas url) on your facebook page that does the following:
User clicks the tab (or is directed there by some other link)
On the canvas page, use the FB api to check if that user has liked your page. If not, persuade them to do so.
If the user liked the page, show a form where the user can enter his email.
Store the data on your own server.
Hope this helps.
After much research, I used this solution:
I call FB.login to authorize my application and request 'user_likes' permission
check /me/likes/[pageid]
If the response is not null the user likes our page.

Check whether user of non-facebook app likes/shares particular URL on FB

I'd like to know if there is a possibility to check (using Graph API or any other way) whether given user likes / shares a specific link. Probably I'll have this user's facebook ID or facebook login, but my site is non-Facebook application. Actually it's Dot Net Nuke portal (target: .NET with MS SQL Server) with part of it being avaliable as Facebook app, but certainly not greater part of it, so the solution should be out of Facebook Connect, although it's not a showstopper if it's necessary.
We'll be giving points to users who share/like most of links that we serve in our portal and such possibility would be a great help to make a ranking.
Another option we consider is making some kind of "wrapper" or proxy for FB like / share buttons which will at first save some data in our database (probably - this user clicked on like for this link) and then go on with standard FB like / share route. Did anybody of You tried such solution?
If You have any other suggestion on the subject, please, post them, we'll be really thankful.
It is possible to know if a user has LIKED a site or not. You can get all user's likes with Graph API (you need user_likes permission). Take a look at the docs: http://developers.facebook.com/docs/reference/api/user/
I'm not sure if you can know if he has shared your site, but you could try by parsing his wall with the read_stream permission and then look for your site name/URL post by post.
For just general liking of items on your site, you can use a Facebook Social Plugin. However, you won't be able to associate (or really even access) user activity with users on your site without integrating Facebook Connect and creating a Facebook application for your site. At that point you can design with greater control all the possible user activity and interleave with your facebook calls other calls that affect users' accounts on your site.
