I had this same issue and restarting guard/spork after I created my routes solved the problem
Did you add the signin route to routes.rb and not restart spork (assuming you're using it) before running your tests?
Can you run rake routes from your console and show the output

I'm reading Michael Hartl's great "The Ruby on Rails Tutorial". And I faced a problem that wasn't described in the book.
I push a submit button on a Sign up page with blank fields, then, as it expected, the mistakes messages like these appears:
Name can't be blank
Email can't be blank
Email is invalid
Password can't be blank
But the URL changes from http://[::1]:3000/signup to http://[::1]:3000/users
Then I push the Chrome's refresh button and get redirecting to exactly http://[::1]:3000/users URL.
I understand that the pushing the submit button directs to .../users URL. How to change this route to the right one (still http://[::1]:3000/signup)?

I do have an issue with mentioned function. This is the error from browser:

Mails are being sent totally fine - I have inspected that with IO.inspect, and right now, they are sent fine. However, I can not attempt to see localhost:4000/mailbox. Where is my mistake? Thank you in advance!!
The issue was with wrong name Bamboo module name.
RubyMine7.0.1 shows this alert in every controller class.

I got the very same error when I imported a project from existing sources and the Project SDK was not set properly for the project.

Tests defined in section 9.2.1 Requiring signed-in users are failing:-
At first I was getting sign_in method not found then I added
include SessionsHelper
in spec/utilities.rb file after that I started getting below error, saying no method with name permanent exists in Rake::Test::CookieJar.
Is it due to some Gem version issue.

Just ran into the same problem and got it fixed.
It seems they are not referring to the sign_in method in sessions_helper.rb but the the sign_in method in spec/support/utilities.rb
In my case this helper method in utilities.rb had a different name, after renaming it everything worked fine :-)
I'm having a strange problem when trying to set a callback for Facebook Authentication via Omniauth. In my controller (simplified to just the code necessary to show the error) I have:

I use the following in my spec_helper.rb :
RACK_ENV = ENV['ENVIRONMENT'] ||= 'test'
I don't use Rails or Devise though so YMMV. I've also seen various threads saying that someone had to do this before their requires to get it to work.
