Facebook sharing won't pull any images anymore - facebook

I have created a company blog and have begun implementing various social sharing plugins, had a look at integrating with OG and now Facebook won't pull any images when the page is shared.
The debugger tool says that it can find a suitable image (the featured image for each post) and when I share the same link to LinkedIn the images pull fine.
I can't work out for the life of me what might be wrong, again it's not that Facebook isn't pulling the right image, it's not pulling ANY.
Does anyone have experience with this/know what might be wrong?

Change your og:url value to http://www.chapman-freeborn.com/en/blog/ ( add the trailing / )
Also fill your og:image value so facebook will get that image...

Wordpress social media feather plugin not returning the right featured image when shared in facebook and other social sites

This is my post featured image.
This is my post entitled "First post" with social icons at the bottom for sharing using social media feather plugin
This is what shows up when I clicked the facebook button
The image above shows that it doesn't return the right image set as featured image for the first post to be shared in facebook. I also encountered the same problem using WP Social Sharing. Can anybody help me solve this please. Thanks a lot.
Facebook, and other platforms that allow social sharing (LinkedIn, Twitter, G+, etc), all use a protocol called OpenGraph.
In it's simplest form, OpenGraph is a series of meta tags placed on a web page that describe that page. Common tags include a title of the page, description, image and a category. It is this OpenGraph image that Facebook uses in it's preview for the social share.
The tag itself is called og:image, and Facebook suggest it is at least 1200x630 pixels, although they will still use the image if it is less than that. As a side note for anyone viewing this thread and having the same issue with Facebook apps - you'll need to serve the image over HTTPS for that, something you don't need to do in this case.
I would suggest viewing the source of your page and finding the OpenGraph tags. If none are present (very possible) then Facebook is just doing it's best based on what it sees on the page. You can remedy this by adding your own tags, or using one of the many OpenGraph plugins available for WordPress.

why does facebook's thumbnail cache use wrong image and debugger shows correct image?

i have written a plugin for the elgg social networking platform which supports sharing links to other social networks.
mostly this is ok.
i am noticing though that facebook often shows incorrect images for the video thumbnails and other sites, such as google+ are ok.
the url i am passing in to the sharer page is correct and when i use the facebook debugging tool, i see the correct image - e.g. https://developers.facebook.com/tools/debug/og/object?q=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.infiniteeureka.com%2Fvideos%2Fwatch%2F6980%2Fwater-as-primary-healing-agent-dis-ease-is-commonly-due-to-dehydration
as an example - this is the url that the plugin currently outputs for facebook, when sharing a video on my site:
https://www.facebook.com/sharer/sharer.php?s=100&p[title]=water+as+primary+healing+agent+-+dis-ease+is+commonly+due+to+dehydration&p[summary]=description&p[url]=https://www.infiniteeureka.com/videos/watch/6980/water-as-primary-healing-agent-dis-ease-is-commonly-due-to-dehydration&p[images][0]=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.infiniteeureka.com%2Fmod%2Fvideolist%2Fthumbnail.php%3Fjoindate%3D1293022025%26guid%3D6980%26owner_guid%3D2%26size%3Dlarge
when i share this to facebook, i see a thumbnail for another video which i shared days earlier, which has a different url. (edit: i now notice that i can choose from 3 images in facebook and one of them is the correct one - so facebook is building an array of 2 incorrect images in some way and is defaulting to an incorrect one.)
anyone know?
I run into this problem often as well. Try to make your image around 1080px # 1080px and see if that helps. The other options is to try and lazy load all the other images so facebook doesn't pick them up as I presume the thumbnail you are referring to is on the page?

Facebook displays the wrong og:image tag when sharing

Upon sharing a link on Facebook with og:image and og:video tags it will, under the right conditions, consistently display the wrong thumbnail image. Our clients are having this problem but unfortunately I cannot consistently replicate the conditions under which this issue occurs.
Go to the QVC UK Facebook page and look for video shares (example post). You'll see that the thumbnail for the video is the QVC logo when it should be the image given in the og:image tag. When putting the link through Facebook's debug tool the correct image is displayed with no content warnings or errors. This only seems to be happening when the URL is shared for the first time as subsequent shares will display the correct image. The image is present on our CDN before the URL is shared on Facebook. When I did manage to luckily replicate this issue; running the debugger before sharing on Facebook did not seem to solve the problem.
Am I missing something obvious, is there something wrong with my meta tags or could this be a potential facebook bug?
I've seen that multiple people are recording the same sort of problem on Facebook however only this bug has been left open (as of June 21st). In a related bug report Facebook mention that their crawlers don't only look at the image in the og tag but also look for other relevant images within the page.
Is it possible that it is seeing the QVC logo used so many times on the page that it decides to randomly overwrite the one specified?
Thanks
-- UPDATE
This only seems to be a problem when sharing to Facebook pages as opposed to a user's timeline. Changing the image URL seems to have temporarily fixed the problem. This looks like a Facebook bug

Facebook sharing won't pull through ANY images anymore

(see duplicate post on stackoverflow Facebook sharing won't pull any images anymore )
If you run your blog through the OG Debug tool you will see that your page has errors that need to be fixed. This is the reason why images aren't coming through...

Like - Sharer.php ignoring image despite og meta

Despite the meta tags (the first one I never used before, but it came up in the addthis forums);
And the debug tool getting the data in a correct manner:
https://developers.facebook.com/tools/debug/og/object?q=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.mondiales.nl%2F
The facebook sharer code does not use the image specified. No images show up at all, there is no thumbnail chooser.
Looking at the HTML of the facebook sharer page, the image is actually there! The thumbnail chooser has a display:none. And when posting the damn thing, no image shows up on the wall.
Stop using addthis and implement a like function using the just the Facebook API? But from what I read, Facebook does a request for the page to get it's data so the JS part should not be the issue, should it?
Did I overlook something?
There's a restriction on the width/height ratio of images shared, the ratio must be less than 3.0
Your image is too wide (211/66 = 3.19) - add some vertical whitespace and it'll share OK i think
For future reference this is mentioned on both the old Share Button docs and the Open Graph protocol docs (under 'og:image')
I've found that once I've posted something to my wall from the sharer or the app, if I try to repost it, it will remember the original image (or no image in your case).
It might be worth clearing the whole cache/cookies from your browser and see if that does the trick.
If not, you'll find that if you log in as another user of Facebook and they try to post it, it will pick up on the new image on their account and not yours.
I'm not exactly sure how Facebook caches the images.
I know this thread is old but this may help someone else with the same issue. FB caches shared urls along with the thumb images and descriptions. To update the cache, add a bogus parameter to your shared query string, like, "?v=1". This gets the latest og tags.
