I would like to get a certain PC located program to run (instead of iTunes) every time I connect my iPhone to my PC.
specifically - iTools, which is kind of a substitute for iTunes.
From my research i got that it involves adding/manipulating some registry values (something like "ServicesAutoStartOnConnect") at this location: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE/SOFTWARE/Microsoft/Windows CE Services. When i look there, under Microsoft, there is no Windows CE Services sub folder.
I'm using win7 prof. and as mentioned, the device is my iPhone4 (with iOS6.0.1 on it).
Can anybody give me some organized steps to be taken in order to accomplish this?

Is there a replacement for the RadioInfo that was removed as of OS11? (com.android.settings/.RadioInfo)
If not, where else can this information be found in UI? Or adb? (preferably without rooting the device)
Our team relies heavily on the use of the data in RadioInfo for QA testing, especially since it works on nearly all Android devices (rather than being OEM-dependent like engineering short codes).
It also offered ideal granularity in network selection, moreso than the basic Settings UI.
Also, why was it removed? I looked back about 11 months in logs and didn't see a single mention of it (though maybe I'm looking in the wrong place - if there's a comment on it somewhere, please do share the link).

I'd like to create and edit notes created by the iOS Note app programmatically from the server-side.
I can see the notes created by the iOS device in my IMAP folder but any changes I make won't show up on the iOS device.
Does such API exist?
I just wondered myself and tried editing the note with mutt. As emails (via imap anyway) are not meant to be edited (as correctly stated by #CodaFi) mutt copies the note into the editor, saves it as a new "email" and delete the old one. The edited note gets synced to Notes.app just fine.
Beware: The title/subject of the note/mail is derived from the first line of the body.
PS (I don't think it affects the validity of the above): My setup is private IMAP server & mbsync with local Maildir & mutt.
Well, I use the HeaderTools plugin with Thunderbird to accomplish this, so it's certainly possible. The notes app picks up the changes right away. ( I's not a very satisfying solution as HeaderTools only allows editing as html source in its own viewer/editor )
I guess you could fire up wireshark to investigate precisely what goes on.
The drafts theory sounds plausible. If I needed to dig into this, I think I would just try it out with python directly, instead of googling around for hours.
I'm using Pow.cx for local development servers - Rails, PHP and static. It's working fine locally, but when I try to use the new xip.io functionality to browse from another device I'm getting a different localhost site every time.
This particular incorrectly-served site is not set up in Pow, but I have an older virtual host set up for it.
Put another way:
stm.dev serves the correct site on my desktop.
stm.192.168.1.XXX.xip.io on my iPhone serves up a different site that is not configured in Pow.
I haven't been able to find any mention of a similar problem online, has anyone else come across this? This particular site is static html, if it matters.
So far I have been unable to get Pow to automatically pick up the xip.io addresses. However I did finally get it working to the point that I can continue building the site.
I followed the instructions from this link http://blogs.adobe.com/shadow/2012/06/19/shadow-xip-io-virtual-hosts-workflow-simplified/ in setting up a vhost alias for the site. I believe that cuts Pow out of the loop, but at least it's working now for testing on the other devices I need.
I would love to have Pow working as described, so if there are any suggestions on that end I'd love to hear it.
I've been searching around this forum and Google, but I can't find anything that helps me. I need to be able to connect to a WebDAV server, type in a username and password to get access and show the folders and files in my iPhone app. Just like the free iPhone app called WebDAV Nav.
Seems like the question is asked a lot, but no one really has an answer for it?
Does anyone know if there's a sample project out there, that could get me on the right track?
I've tried WTClient and flyingcode webdav.
Both flycode's WebDAV and WTClient are a few years old, seem incomplete and have a few errors.
When I try WTClient with a WebDAV server I get the response

When I try the flycode WebDAV code, it fails to parse the server directory listing response correctly. I managed to modify the code in FMWebDAVRequest to look for slightly different XML elementNames in the response
eg "response" instead of "D:response", "href" instead of "D:href",
"resourcetype" instead of ":getcontenttype"
Then it worked, successfully retrieving the directory listing.
But should I continue to tweak this code, try something more robust or roll my own? What have others done/used?
I need to find the GUID for an existing USB device attached to my Windows XP system. How can this be done using WMI or the registry? Or, is there another avenue that I should explore? Thanks.
Additional Information:
I need to find the GUID for a specific known device; it is not expected to change. If I need to write a little program, use some tool, or look somewhere in the Windows system to find this information, it's all the same to me.
Control Panel > Device Manager > Right Click on Device > Properties > Details Tab > Change 'Property' to Driver Key > Guid will be displayed in 'value' section
For a specific known device, the easiest way I've found is to open the .inf file for that device's driver (if you have the driver); it should be clearly indicated there.
You can probably also poke around under HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Enum\USB.
DevViewer from Symantec also seems to do the trick.
