Show active plugins in Sublime Text and disable them - plugins

I just installed sublime text 2 and was overwhelmed by the php plugins that I installed ALL of them. Now auto-complete is crazy, a million unnecessary suggestions and I dont remember which plugin does what or which ones I installed. Is there a way to see all active plugins for a particular file so I can disable some?

I'm not sure about the active plugin on a file part, but you can quickly go in and remove plugins that are installed by opening the Command Pallete (Cmd-Shift-P on Mac) and typing remove if you have Package Control installed.
You will see Package Control: Remove Package**
Once the list of installed plugins shows up you can click these and remove them and then test out your code.
You can do the reverse and quickly re-install the packages if something you needed was missing.
You probably already knew this so I am not sure that this will be helpful or not.
BTW: Sublime Text 3 Beta just came out and is available to licensed users. I have not done much with it yet, but it loads almost instantly.

There's no need to remove packages as packages can be simply disabled by using Package Control: Disable Package option in the Command Palette.

Click on Preferences > Package Settings > Package Control > Settings - User to see a list of the installed packages. It will looks something like this:
{
"bootstrapped": true,
"in_process_packages":
[
],
"installed_packages":
[
"Package Control",
"PyCover",
"Python 3",
"SublimeLinter",
"SublimeLinter-csslint",
"SublimeLinter-html-tidy",
"SublimeLinter-jshint",
"SublimeLinter-json",
"SublimeLinter-lua",
"SublimeLinter-pyflakes",
"SublimeLinter-pyyaml",
"SublimeREPL"
]
}
You can't disable packages, but you can remove them. Click on Preferences > Package Control and enter Package Control: Remove Package, then select the package.

NPM scripts not showing in the explorer sidebar

I have this problem with Visual Studio Code for Windows 10: I can't see the NPM scripts in the explorer sidebar.
I deleted all the extensions, uninstalled VS Code, and installed the latest version of VS Code again with no custom options and no extensions, but it didn't solve my problem; the NPM scripts menu does not appear.
How could I fix this so that the NPM Scripts menu option is shown again?
Few places to look for the NPM-Scripts explorer :
The npm-scripts explorer can be enabled or disabled with the below settings, in VSCode's settings.json:
"npm.enableScriptExplorer": false
Default value is false, change to true and it should work. Try restarting VSCode for changes to take effect(although a restart is not often required) if it doesn't show up.
Another very hard to notice place is the three dots ... in the top right corner of your project explorer (verify if NPM scripts is checked). This is something which I had experienced personally for a different extension.
Open "File > Preferences > Settings"
Search "npm script"
Toggle "Npm: Enable Script Explorer"
Close VSCode; reopen
Version 1.59.1
Go to View -> Open View and type: npm scripts:
Appreciate I may be a bit late to answer this question. For me, this was due to npm scripts not being selected to display in explorer. Once I had selected the box, the npm scripts window was available to view.
Hopefully, this has just been fixed - see https://github.com/microsoft/vscode/issues/120279#event-4631666095 and https://github.com/microsoft/vscode/issues/120279#issuecomment-824950294 seeking test verification.
It is in the Insiders now and in Stable early May, 2021. It fixed it for me.
View/Open View...
Type NPM
Click on NPM Scripts
If it still isn't working, see https://github.com/microsoft/vscode/issues/119868
Is your package.json at the root level? Does it make any difference if you open your package.json first, and then check for the view? Or try opening another .json file (or even the Release Notes has been reported as working) and then do a Reload. Otherwise, add your info to the issue.
Work around: If I leave an editor tab open with my package.json (I have one in the root, and in two other places), close and re-open VSC, then it seems to 'find' the NPM View.
TL;DR;
My VSC (1.55.2) is inconsistently showing / not showing the NPM View.
When it starts without the view, I cannot use View->Open "npm".
No option in Explorer options (...)
When it starts with the view, View->Open has a result for "npm".
Has option in Explorer options (...)
Bug report here: https://github.com/microsoft/vscode/issues/120279
Try to delete package-lock.json and restart VSCode.
In my case it worked.
It happens to me sometimes when I open VSCODE.
Whenever it happens I simply load a package.json file.
The NPM SCRIPTS menu still appears when I close the package.json file.
If that doesn't do the trick, try installing NPM-Scripts extension.
If it worked normally before but now it does not, and you have the extension installed and enabled. Then all you have to do is open your package.json file and it will be available again.
I guess this weird behavior happens when you disable all your extensions or may happen if you're installing/removing extensions from a remote container
You can install NPM-Scripts extension which does the same as npm scripts functionality which was build into vscode.

Uninstall FTP Sync from Visual Studio Code

Is there an easy way to uninstall the FTP-Sync package I have installed in VSC? There doesn't seem to be a remove feature
You can see all installed extensions and uninstall them using these steps:
Ctrl+P(Quick Open).
Enter >Extensions: Show Installed Extensions.
Click the "x" icon next to the extension you want to uninstall.
Here is how is looks:

VSCode plugin VSCode-PHP-Format not working

I start using vscode less than a month. Please forgive me if this is a dump question.
OS: OS X 10.11.3
VSCode: 0.10.6
Plugin: VSCode-PHP-Format (download via git clone)
Extension path: ~/.vscode/extensions/VSCode-PHP-Format
I restarted VSCode, open php files, but do not see "Format Code" on the right click menu.
Any idea how to debug this? Right now I don't even know if the plugin load correctly.
With tips from Tobiah Zarlez, I found the "Toggle Developer Tools" in VSCode.
It is shown in the console the plugin cannot find js-beautify.
Solution
Inside ~/.vscode/extensions/VSCode-PHP-Format, run
npm install
It will pull in js-beautify. Then restart VSCode.
I am on my phone and not able to double check to see if it is there, but I'd recommend installing from the visual studio marketplace to insure the plug in is installed correctly. You can do so by hitting CTRL+SHIFT+P and typing "install extension"
Beyond that, a quick glance at the code the plug in should be activated when you open a php file... but since this is a third party plugin, I can't speak to if it actually works or not.
(Again, on phone so can't test)
What you could do is modify the extension.js file to add a "console.log ("hello world")" to the activate function. Them check the log to see if the plug in is installed correctly.
I saw you weren't the only person to complain about the plug in not working though. If I were you, I would continue to try and contact the creator

Some questions about Ubuntu permissions and shortcuts

I just downloaded Eclipse IDE and Netbeans directly from the websites and installed then in my Ubuntu 12.04. I have some questions:
1 - How can I add their shortcuts in the Ubuntu's sidebar?
2 - When I add shortcuts in desktop using the gnome-desktop-item-edit app, I can't have super user permissions to manipulate then, the Netbeans IDE (that uses a script file to start) shows lots of erros telling that some files are read-only. How can I add sudo privileges in a launcher created with gnome-desktop-item-edit?
Sorry by my poor english.
As far as question #1, first, open the program. Find its icon on the side bar, and right-click it, then select “Keep in Launcher.”
As for #2, in Ubuntu, you can edit the item to run with gksudo COMMAND, but that's extremely unwise (running anything with elevated privileges on the desktop. You should probably instead fix the permissions of the relevant files (right-click on the file, and give yourself permission)
Well, after some days trying to find the better solution for my problem, I think that the better solution is first, Download Eclipse and/or NetBeans IDE from the Ubuntu Software Center and after:
For NetBeans:
Use the IDE's plugin's manager to download the needed ones, and make (if you want) an IDE update process.
For Eclipse:
After download, follow the steps of this link.
After follow this, you can easely create favorite links to your "sidebar" if you use Gnome 3 as me, or make desktop shortcuts without needing sudo privileges, just using the gnome-desktop-item-edit tool or whatever you prefer.

There isn't INSTALL PACKAGE on PACKAGE CONTROL (Sublime Text 2)

(Operation System : Ubuntu)
I want to install Sublime ALignment plugin to my Sublime Text 2 .So, ı have installed Package Control plugin with this :
import urllib2,os;pf='Package Control.sublime-package';ipp=sublime.installed_packages_path();os.makedirs(ipp) if not os.path.exists(ipp) else None;open(os.path.join(ipp,pf),'wb').write(urllib2.urlopen('http://sublime.wbond.net/'+pf.replace(' ','%20')).read())
But i couldn't install ALignment via Package Control. There isn't Install Package option on my Sublime Text 2.
Screenshot of Preferences > Package Control
Can you explain me how can i install Sublime Alignment (and other plugins) ?
Had the same problem with ST2. It looks like it's something about localization, anyway, as a quick fix: just run "LANG=C" command before you start Sublime Text 2 from command line.
aranel#aranel-desktop:~/Desktop/Sublime Text 2$ LANG=C
aranel#aranel-desktop:~/Desktop/Sublime Text 2$ ./sublime_text
It should work correctly now :)
PS: In fact, you answered my question, Eray :) I was looking for a fix and just noticed Eray is a Turkish name too. And I noticed we have something in common :)
That's very strange. Try removing Package Control from your Packages folder (Preferences > Browse Packages) and reinstalling. Make sure you restart Sublime Text after you install it. If it still doesn't appear, your best option is to contact Will Bond or file an issue on github (https://github.com/wbond/sublime_package_control/issues).
What I did is delete the entire Sublime Text 2 folder in /Application Support/Sublime Text 2 and restart,reinstall
