I'm trying to debug my project in MonoDevelop. I'm using the interface ADO.net. But I keep getting folowing error:

System.Data.OleDb.OleDbConnection.Dispose (Boolean disposing)
Please help.
Mono's implementation of the OLE DB provider is not complete, since OLE DB is a native Windows API (Mono's implementation wraps the Linux libgda instead). I suggest you use a different ADO.NET provider.

I like to use a previous ADO.Net Entity Model, stored in another project (in the same solution) and imported like DLL in Blazor's ASP.NET Framework (not Core).
Unfortunately when i try to connect my context I receive that error: "No connection string named 'MyDBEntities' could be found in the application config file.".
I tried to configure appsettings.json:

}
and the startup.cs:

After some research, the best solution for implement a system like ADO.NET in .Net 6 with Blazor is to use EF Core Power Tools, a useful design-time DbContext features for connect your DB (in my case is SQL Server) and automate the creation or update of your tables.
It's very simple to install, configure and use like ADO.NET.

I am working on some security illustrations and therefore need to purposefully write insecure SQL queries.
The environment I am looking at is .NET Core (not full .NET), the driver used is EntityFrameworkCore and the database type is SQLite.
Regular connections using the built in lookup and query functions work without any issue. However there seems to be no function that would allow me to execute a raw SQL statement.
Several online resources recommend using the .FromSql() and .SqlQuery() methods on the database / context, but neither of these methods seems to exist in the .NET Core driver.
Is there any way to execute a raw SQL query in this setting?

Check if there is Microsoft.EntityFrameworkCore.Relational reference on your project references(if you use sqllite it should be in the Microsoft.EntityFrameworkCore.Sqlite reference).
You could use the Nuget Package:
Microsoft.EntityFrameworkCore.Sqlite
and
db.Database.ExecuteSqlCommand("YOUR SQLITE SQL COMMAND");

we are developing a multiplateforme mobile application thats support synchronization with NoSQL backend, we are looking if Microsoft Sync Framework 4.0 CTP can be used to solve all synchronization problems using a non-microsoft backend,
Sync Framework 4.0 allow several devices on any plateforme to achive synchronization tasks by exposing an oData service, this can be done by using Sync Framework Toolkit, but use SQL Server or SQL Azure as backend on the service side,
the application we are developing should use NoSQL database server (MongoDB) on its server side and I realy dont know if Microsoft Sync Framework could be used with this DBMS and how it should be done,
if someone have achieved this by customizing Microsoft Sync Framework provider please share your experience, links or any helpful things,

there is no out-of-the-box sync provider for MongoDB, so you will have to write your own.
assuming you can write your own, you will have to modify the Sync Toolkit server side component to replace the SqlSyncProvider with your custom MongoDB provider.
I suggest you check out the licensing of the Sync Framework Toolkit as well. if I remember it right, the client components is on Apache license but the server side is on MSPL.

I started writting a Microsoft Sync Framework MongoDB Provider but i realized later that i had to implement a good part of Sync Framework, so I have removed all dependencies between Sync Framework and Sync Framework Toolkit to take juste the infrastructure part of Sync Framework Toolkit and i implemented my own synchronization logic inside, i've also updated the client side to use my NoSQL To SQL ORM to store data on Client-SQLite db.
I suggest you to use SyncFoundation if you have no time to do all this tasks, Sync foundation is a lightweight version of Sync Framework but more flexible if you have to use a non microsoft backend, the home page of sync foundation is (https://github.com/mschoneman/SyncFoundation).
i've created a wcf service library with ado .net entity framework to handle the retrieving of data from the database and send it to the user.
i've been testing it in visual studio without any problems.
so, i moved the dll of the service and the xml configuration file to the bin folder of weborb, changed the web.config to add my service.
but when i invoke the service from the webconsole i get this error:

Then start off by trying the WebORB examples from here.
The WebORB log should give you more detail about the error. With that info, I would post a question on the WebORB forum.
I'm developing an iPad app that needs read-only access to an Oracle database.
Is there any way to do this? As far as I can see, the only options are using OCI, which requires a prebuilt binary in the form of the instant client (and not built for ARM), or OJDBC drivers. Both of these seem to be out of the question.
In my research I have discovered that libmysqlclient compiles for arm with minimal tuning. This is a stretch, but is there any possible way to use this to my advantage?
I have seen this product providing odbc connectivity through the use of a Windows gateway machine using the ODBC client libraries, but this solution really isn't an option for me at the present time.
Any ideas?
At the very bottom, there are only two libraries for accessing Oracle:
The OCI binary library.
The Java OJDBC Jar file.
All other libraries (such as ODBC, ADO.NET) build upon one of these libraries (usually on OCI).
There's no OCI library for the iPhone (or any ARM architecture as far as I know) and there's no Java VM to use OJDBC. So you cannot directly connect from the iPhone to an Oracle database.
So whatever your solution will be, it'll require an intermediate server (or gateway).
While I did end up using an intermediary server... I have since realized that this isn't strictly necessary. Direct access should be obtainable by using the OJDBC drivers directly on iOS using gcj to compile them for ARM. Since Objective-C is a superset of C, you could use JNI for communication to and from. Hope this helps anyone who comes here :)
Direct access to an Oracle database from iOS is not possible as of this moment. Exchanging data with an Oracle database by means of web services is fairly simple. You can use APEX for this, lean and mean.
