I setup an Ubuntu environment and used bzr to get the 3 trunks: addons, server, web
Everything works and the server starts fine.
I then loaded the project in Eclipse and tried to run openerp-server. I got this error (module web: module not found). I then copied the entries (addons_path) in the openerp-server.conf from /etc/ to the conf file in server/install folder. I also created a copy of this file and pasted in server folder, in the hopes that eclipse would pick it up.
But I am still getting the same error. Three questions please:
Which conf file should I add this path for eclipse to use? Where does this file reside?
If I must use a command line switch to specify the web/addons path then how do I do that in eclipse?
There used to be a file with a lot of different variable such as pg_path, rpc, etc. Is that file still around? Maybe that is where I need to make this entry?
Thanks
I had to add a "-c /etc/openerp-server.conf" argument. Right click on the openerp-server file, launch the properties window, select Run/Debug Settings, select the only launch configuration available, edit, select the arguments tab.
I added them manually to eclipse run configurations > arguments.
e.g.
--db_host = {host}
--db_port = {port}
--db_user = {user}
--db_password = {password}
--addons = ../addons,../server/addons

I need to change some configuration information to use SpringToolSuite4. But when I downloaded SpringToolSuite4 4.1.2 and unziped, there isn't SpringToolSuite4.ini file. So I created one, but SpringToolSuite4 didn't reference to SpringToolSuite4.ini file when starting.
I solved the problem with these steps:
Open the commad terminal;
go to the location where you put the jar file;
Run "java -jar [****.jar]";
PS: Make sure you have java runtime installed in you machine and you have the correct environment settings.
Hope this could help you.
I guess this is an admin rights problem:
I have downloaded the self extracting .jar file:
spring-tool-suite-4-4.8.1.RELEASE-e4.17.0-win32.win32.x86_64.self-extracting.jar
I saved it in c:\Program Files (needs admin rights).
Double-clicked it (not as admin) -> Same error (cannot find the SpringToolSuite4.ini file).
I have started TotalCommander (you may use a differnt explorer) with admin rights -> Problem fixed.
Open jar with winrar. Open the "contents.zip". Move to "sts-4.8.0.RELEASE" folder in documents. After, we run the program.
jar:spring-tool-suite-4-4.8.0.RELEASE-e4.17.0-win32.win32.x86_64.self-extracting
You can solve the problem like this.
When I downloaded it for the second time. I also got this error(SpringToolSuite4.ini). That's how I passed. instead of downloading it again. Downloading it again didn't work.
right click on the sts icon inside the extracted sts-bundle package and select show content.
I'm having a problem importing a csv file to pgAdmin4 on a mac - it simply can't find the file. This is so simple that I'm hoping there's just a setting I've failed to set up.
In the import/export data function on a table, there is the Import/Export dialog that looks like this:
However, it can't find the file:
That error looks like the standard python error when you give it the wrong path to a file. But it's correct - that's where the file is: '/tmp/person616.csv' - I didn't even enter the name/path, I browsed to it.
Has this happened to anybody else? Know how to fix it?
The exact problem has been bothering me for quite some days now. There are not much resources available to address it. So here's what I did:
I created a new folder giving it a strange name making sure that it is unique under the "/" directory and in the pgAdmin4 panel you're in rn.
I used below commands to find the new strange named folder that I just created: (i) sudo su (ii) find -iname [strange named folder] -type d
And after some time here it was. My path was revealed.
In my case, the path was
/var/lib/pgadmin/storage/[pgAdmin4_username]
I suspect that path for "PostgreSQL Binary Path" is not set properly in pgAdmin4.
In pgAdmin4 Goto:
File > Preferences > Paths > Binary paths > PostgreSQL Binary Path
Sample paths as below (You need to change it according to your Postgres location),
If you are using Windows than provide path like,
C:\Program Files\PostgreSQL\9.6\bin
If you are using Linux than provide path like,
/opt/PostgreSQL/9.5/bin
If you are using Mac than provide path where you have installed PG,
/Library/PostgreSQL/9.6/bin
And try again.
I just had the same problem and found the solution. PGAdmin4's root directory is not your root directory. It starts at
/home/[your_username]/.pgadmin/storage/[your PGAdmin_username]/
So if you put your file or backup directories there, it can find the files.
It also helps to have it show "all" files in the backup dialog, so it can find files with your own extensions. e.g. I use `filename.custom' which it doesn't recognize.
In pgAdmin, when you right-click on a database and click Restore, in the bottom-right corner of the mini-interface, just above the Select button, you can see Format 'dorpdown-list'. Make sure that the drop-down list isn't limiting your displayed files, so select All Files.
Right click on table > import/export >
Toggle "Import" mode > select file >
Upload Files then select each for every table
I want to import silently server configuration (such as Applications servers -> Process Definition -> Java Virtual Machine -> Generic JVM arguments etc.).
I've tried wsadmin tool, but it requires WSA to be running - and this is bad for me, because I need to write script that copies these settings without any interaction.
wsadmin -lang jython -c "AdminTask.importWasprofile('[-archive d:\profil2.car]')"
Another way was the "Import server configuration from server..." option in Eclipse context menu (Servers tab), but it still needs interaction from user.
Is there any way to copy those settings? Should I copy some files or something?
I'm installing Rational Application Developer 7.0.0.7. I have also generated .car file with exported settings.
Ok, I've managed to import all those settings silently.
First, you have to export profile using f.e. wsadmin script.
Command
wsadmin -lang jython -c "AdminTask.exportWasprofile(['-archive', 'd:\sampleProfileName.car'])
Will export default profile to .car file (which is, in fact, .zip file with other extension). It is nice to add here, that my version of WAS wouldn't export SIB settings.
Importing those settings is as easy, as exporting, you just have to run command
wsadmin -lang jython -conntype none -c "AdminTask.importWasprofile('[-archive d:\sampleProfileName.car]')"
Note using -conntype option, as #bkail mentioned
Sadly, WAS 6.x and earlier does not support exporting/importing SIB settings (as mentioned HERE). In order to copy them, you have to add manually to .car file buses directory (as mentioned HERE). The problem is - adding them by admin console didn't create this directory for me.
I had to use another wsadmin script that creates SIB - I've found it HERE. It simply uses AdminTask object to create bus manually - and thanks to it, it created the buses directory.
Hope this helps somebody who has the same problem as I had - and it will save him MANY hours.
Greetings.
I have installed Erlide in Eclipse, and trying to create an application. The Erlang project is named demo. It contains three folders - ebin, include and src. The demo.erl file is in src, for simply printing Hello World.
To run it in Eclipse shell, I choose Run from the top menu, and click Run as Erlang Application. Then a console opens in the sidebar. There I type c(demo) and press CTRL-Enter. Then I get an error message like demo.erl:none: no such file or directory.
Then I do pwd(), and it shows C:/Users/myName/Desktop/eclipse-jee-juno-SR1-win32-x86_64/eclipse even though the Erlang project is in workspace C:/Users/myName/Desktop/workspace/Erlang. Is there any way make Erlide run all Erlang applications from their directory directly?
If you have set Project -> Build Automatically in Eclipse to true, you don't need to type c(demo). explicitly to compile the demo module, it's done automatically when you save your file. But if you have not set it, you'll get exception error: undefined function if you try to use some of the functions in the module for example.
To make the c(demo) command work properly and find your .erl files, there are several ways to set the current working directory:
Use Run -> Run Configuration -> Erlang Application -> Runtimes -> Working directory -> enter the full path to the /src folder of your project (without quotes).
Then hit Apply and restart Eclipse (File -> Restart). If you try to Run the project without first restarting the IDE, your changes will not take effect i.e. the pwd(). command will still be returning the old working directory path.
You can set the working directory in the erlide console with the command c:cd(the/full/path/to/your/src/folder)., before the call to c(demo). The path should be put in quotes.
You can also set the working directory in the .erlang file by typing there the same command c:cd(the/full/path/to/your/src/folder). (the path again should be put in quotes). The file must be placed in you user directory, for Windows this would be C:/Documents and Settings/YourUsername. It's the same directory were also .erlang.cookie and erlide-debug.txt are placed. Windows Explorer will not allow you to create a file named .erlang, so you have to use the command copy NUL .erlang in Command Prompt (cmd.exe) for this. Then you can edit it with any txt redactor. Don't forget to restart Eclipse again after it.
Also note the following:
You can use only / and not \ in the path (even in Windows).
If you have entered a wrong path (with \ or to a non existing directory), it will be ignored and the working directory will not be changed at all.
After changing the working directory to your/src folder, your beam files will start to appear there too instead of the /ebin folder.
If you set a different path in both .erlang file and Run -> Run Configuration -> Erlang Application -> Runtimes -> Working directory, pwd(). will return the path in .erlang file.
You don't need to run c(demo). The beam code is loaded and reloaded automatically, whenever the source is changed and saved.
If you still need to set a working directory, go to run->run configuration and you can edit the configuration.

I use netbeans 7.2.1 and newest phpunit. When I want to generate a unit test in netbeans by right-clicking on the php class then Tools-> Create phpUnit test the Skeleton generator throws an error: No such file or directory.
require_once(/sharedResources/connection.inc.php): failed to open stream: No such file or directory
The issue is that the path displayed in require_once is wrong. It is generatedliek this:
$sharedResources = getenv("DOCUMENT_ROOT") . "/sharedResources";
and should resolve to the absolute file path. This works fine when application is running in apache. However it seems that getenv("DOCUMENT_ROOT") is just wrong when running from netbeans. My question is how I can set it correctly? My application is under
getenv("DOCUMENT_ROOT") . "/MyApp";
and the file I'm creating a test for is in
"MyApp/services"
Under Project properties there is an option web root but it is greyed out and it is impossible to set it to a folder one level higher than your application.
How can I solve this?
EDIT:
Further clarification:
I initially had a relative filepath to sharedResources which did not work also. the I changed to this one and of coruse ti makes sense it is not working as DOCUMENT_ROOT is set by apache and hence not set when running in netbeans. So a temprary fix is to add
$docRoot = getenv("DOCUMENT_ROOT");
if(empty($docRoot)){
putenv("DOCUMENT_ROOT=C:/xampp/htdocs");
}
to the head of every class. of course that is not a very practical or good solution. I would need to tell netbeans to set this environment variable or to use correct relative path.
Well here is my solution. It's not ideal but simple and works. The issue is that DOCUMENT_ROOT is obviously empty when script is not called by Apache but by netbeans. Hence it must somehow be set. To do that I edited the php file phpunit-skelgen(it does not have a file ending but it's a php file).
Below the license text as first php line I added
putenv("DOCUMENT_ROOT=C:/xampp/htdocs");
That did the trick.
