I am using the Community Edition. Daily I add new leads to the Sugar CRM database. We send newsletters using target lists. How can I update the target lists automatically before to start the emailing process? Ideally I would like to use a SQL statement or a report as a source of e-mail addresses for the emailing process. Is it possible?
The workflow is:
The user fill a order in our web. I need to add the record to the SugarCRM database.
According the user profile, he/she is assigned to a different target list. There are 4 target lists according the user profile.
Then, according the profile, the user will receive a different group of emails at 7, 15, 30 and 90 days from the registration date.
As I explain, a static target list does not work here because each day different users enroll in the system and the emailing schedule for each user depends on the date of registration.
I am trying to discover how to add directly via php to create dynamically a target list and then to launch the campaign but I am not sure if there is a better way.
I have found the solution. It is pretty simple. I only need to fill via sql the emailman table. I do not need to fill targets lists or similar.

I am building a mobile app (in flutter firebase, but the answer does not have to be firebase specific). And I would like to implement a feature that notifies users whenever anyone from their contact list joins the app. This seems like a very EXPENSIVE feature.
At the top of my head, I see a lambda/cloud function that is triggered everytime a user joins and then searches a database of users and their respective contacts for the existence of the new user's phone number. To me, this solution does not scale well for two reasons: if the number of total users is in the millions and the number of users joining simultaneously is a lot.
My better solution is to get the user's contacts upon joining and then searching a database of current users contacts for any of the phone numbers of the newly joined user.
Is there a solution better than the second one? If so, what is it? If the second solution is standard, what kind of backend storage mechanism provides the best search and retrieval time for a database of users and their respective contacts?
In the case of large users ill not do first solution because that may slow the sign up process instead i will creat a cron job that runs at a specific time or periodically it will get the list of the latest users signed up that day or that hour whatever you prefer then that cron will check the new user if related to any user in the databases and send a notification right away, or a better solution create a temporary table in a database in another server insert the notification informations into the other server, creat another cron job in the second server it will run at a specific time to sendthe notification
I would like to trigger a workflow resetting a sum on all contacts every 1st January of the year. The workflow is implemented. It could be triggered on the specific date or even everyday, because the date is verified in the workflow before resetting.
How can i run it on every contact?
Hello and welcome to Stackoverflow, the answer to your question is as the following:
You need to create a Rest API outbound webhook in your Bitrix account with "CRM" & "Business Process" permissions.
You will write down a PHP code that will be executed on the exact date/time of you choice
The PHP script will do 2 process:
Will retrieve all the contacts that you have on your Bitrix account and store them into a string value.
It will run that Business process and pass the list of all the found contacts, and inside your Business process you're going to set it up in a way that it will run the required actions on every contact from eh contacts IDs passed by the first step.
The PHP script can be hosted in a webhosting or even on your local machine since it's once a year.
This is only the concept of the solution, I can't share the script code because I don't have it at the moments, please contact me if you faces problems.
I'm looking for suggestions for a tool/platform that can help in capturing form and file attachment data from external sales agents. I currently use Google Forms and a plugin to enable sending email notifications to specific contacts, but the hope is to create something more advanced where people providing the data can login to submit data and make updates to the records. The platform should also enable approval workflows with email notifications to ensure the incoming data meets requirements.
Here is a description of the desired process:
Agent logs in to the platform
Agent submits data (and optional file attachments) into the system using a form
Upon submission, the system triggers a review task and sends an email notification to a reviewer
If the reviewer deems the information invalid/incomplete, they will
reject it, with comment, and the system will
automatically send the information back to the agent while copying
their manager. Record status will be updated automatically.
If the reviewer deems the information invalid, they will approve it, with or without
comment, and the system will automatically send the information back to the agent while copying
their manager and project administrator. Record status will be updated automatically.
Additional requirements:
Contacts for email notifications will vary by agent and they should be determined by identification items on the user/agent profile
Agents need to be able to update records but a new review task will be triggered once an update is submitted
The system should have functionality for searching the record fields
An agent should see their own data and data submitted by others in the same agency, but not the data submitted by agents outside their agency
I should be able to see the full list of submissions and version history of the records
Approximate scale: 100-150 agencies, 1000-1500 agents
So far, I've thought of using a list within SharePoint Online combined with Microsoft Flow, but I'm not sure it would enable all the desired functionality. I'd be interested in your thoughts about that setup as well as others that you think could work and/or have found successful. Even if your solution does not tick all the boxes, I'd be interested to know about it.
Thanks a lot for your help!

I am very new to filemaker pro. Is there a way where I can get a conformation email after the user submits an entry using filemaker pro?
So for example, when the user clicks "Submit", it will automatically send me a confirmation email that says someone has submitted a form.
Yes, use the [Send Mail] script step. You can specify an SMTP server to use (which allows you to specify an account to use), or else use the locally connected user's email client (in which case the email will show as coming from the user)
Years ago we used the send mail step to send an alert to ourselves as outlined above. Over the years we moved away from this to a method we found more effective.
If your volume is consistent consider using FileMaker to report to you rather than emailing yourself. There is less to go wrong and you probably have to be in FileMaker to use the data.
Create a flag field set to "open" in the table that you check off when you've done what ever you will do with the information. Then create a calc field that shows how many open items you have.
For example we have an online store that uses FileMaker as a backend. The user screens have a field that appears as a little red ball with a number of open orders in it if there are unprocessed orders. If all the orders are processes the ball is green.
I am using Microsoft CRM 4.0. I currently have many accounts that need to be updated by the sales person assigned to the account. What would be the best way to notify the user of the update? Also, It would be nice if there was also a way to notify me back that the task had been completed. I was thinking the best way would be through a workflow but It does not allow me to select multiple accounts at once to notify the user, of which ones need the update. I also have mobile access with CRM.
You're on the right track. You could use a combination of workflows to accomplish this. I don't know what exactly it is they need to update but you could create a bit flag called new_isrecordupdated and then create workflows that wait until the fields needing to be updated are changed. When they are you can set that flag to true. Then have another workflow sleep for X days and verify that the field is false, if so send out an email to the user.
If you need them to complete tasks, then the workflow will need to sit on the tasks if they're regarding an account. On a status change of completed, update the flag to false.
Again, I'm not sure what you're looking for them to update so I can't say with 100% certainty that this is what you need.
Depending on how many accounts you are talking about, you may want a scheduled console application to find all of the outstanding accounts that still require attention. It could then create a single email for each sales person each day with links to each of the accounts that still required attention.
You could also have a single daily report letting you know which accounts had been updated and which were still needed updating.
These could be done with a scheduled application or an SSRS Report.
In addition it would be helpful to add a view for your sales reps that showed them the complete list of accounts that they needed to update. You would also want a similar view sorted by the assigned owner.
This way you have notification, but not abusive notification if a lot of these are happening and you have a way for both you and your salesmen see anything outstanding with a simple glance at a view.
You would probably need to have a boolean to set an account as needing an update, and then you could use a plug-in to reset that flag whenever the owner updated it along with setting a last updated date. This would give you the fields to flag an account as needing to be updated and the date would allow you to see which accounts had been updated by their owners.
