I've already posted this on the PayPal mts and the x.com sites but had no response.
I am looking at a clients website which is having issues taking payments using the PayPal standard payments. The Magento based site (CE 1.6.10) redirects to Paypal fine but when a customer tries to pay PayPal goes to and error page with error code 3005. I have tried using the sandbox on a development version of the site and this works fine.
The Magento site uses a secondary email address as the PayPal address and this all seems fine within the verified PayPal account.
Do you have any ideas on why this may be failing.

My problem is Paypal integration with my shopify store. I lost that when I was trying to add my new Paypal email on Shopify.
On reaching Shopify support I was told to contact Paypal to resolve this. Now my customers have no option to make any payments. after clicking on "Activate Paypal Express Checkout" button on shopify payment providers page, it asked for paypal email address. I added new paypal email address which I already added on my paypal account. After that it asked to login. I logged in. Nothing changed on Shopify. the paypal checkout is not integrated on my website.
when I added my primary account for the first time, it worked. But that was my personal email. So now I created new one under my domain and added. Then I deactivated that old email which I integrated with shopify and tried to activate new one. but it is not working this change is happening on Paypal urls not Shopify. That is the reason they told me to contact you.
I have been reaching paypal support for last 4 days. I cannot afford another day wait for resolution so I'm looking for help here.
I'm using Odoo v12 CE.
I installed the accounting module which allows for payment acquirers to be set up.
I set up my paypal account following the guidelines from this link: https://www.odoo.com/documentation/user/12.0/ecommerce/shopper_experience/paypal.html
I already configured paypal and odoo and I can make payments when I send a quote to my customers. they get the link to the order in the customer portal and there, they can chose paypal as the payment method.
Then they are able to pay from paypal and it works. The issue is that after the payment, when they are redirected they are returned with the wrong URL.

If I change http://localhost:8069 to https://example.com , then it actually works and the payment is received.
I donĀ“t know what to do in order for it not to show localhost instead of mydomain.com. Is that a system parameter I have to create or something?
Am shared hosted on Godaddy and have SSL installed and configured.
My cart is OSCommerce 2.3.4.
I have enabled Paypal Express checkout and CCavenue payment gateways.
Problem is After adding products to the cart and checking out, am able to seamlessly go to the payment gateway provider website for making the payment.
After making payment and coming back to merchant website, am getting a new session ID compared to the old one. Obviously, the txn is incomplete. The same thing happens when canceling without making a payment and coming back to the merchant site.
The above problem persists for both the payment gateways.
I tried many tips and tricks suggested by folks on this website and others and nothing seems to work.
Needs assistance pls.

Paypal LIVE Express checkout
It shows the Payment Amount at the checkout, but the payment doesn't go through. The payment doesn't even leave customer's account. I have tried using my wife's paypal account to complete the checkout.
I am only using paypal checkout system and have added all the API information in expresscheckout.asp and paypalfunctions.asp
I have also tried adding these API options too, but still wouldnt work

When I am trying to sign up for website payments pro in the sandbox, I get redirected to the live paypal site.
I have seen the same question asked here: Signing up for website payments pro in paypal sandbox redirects to live paypal site
where the it seems that the account is already running payments pro. However on my business setup>>my payment solution it says i am running payments standard.
Any idea on how i change it to payments pro? I changed the page to sandbox.path when getting redirected but the next link redirects me again to the live site.

There are some issues that are still being addressed in the sandbox with some pages directing to the live site. Can you provide the email address for your test sandbox seller account and I will enable pro on the account from my end.
