I want to customize the look and feel of JasperReports Server.
I am using JR Server 5.0.
I would want to change the logo, title and color of the jasperserver.
I tried searching for documentation on how to achieve the same. But could not find anything for 5.0
I found one documentation for JR Server 2.0
http://www.jaspersoft.com/download/customizing-and-rebranding-jaspersoft-user-interface
I initially thought the modifications would be on similar lines but it isn't the case.
For change in the title, it is as per the documentation,
But to change the logo the mentioned files and the edits are not in sync.
What are the modifications needed to be done to achieve the same in 5.0?
Any help would be appreciated.

I followed the sylius doc to customize the pdf invoice generated when the order is onfirmed by the user, as I need to change the sylius log with the client's logo, but nothing is working... I am a beginner so it might just be a basic problem, but all my attempts to find what is wrong on the internet have failed, so can anyone help to put me on the right path? Thanks a lot in advance!
The answer is here:
https://github.com/Sylius/InvoicingPlugin/blob/master/src/Resources/config/services.xml#L10
So you should set the env variable SYLIUS_INVOICING_LOGO_FILE that contains the path to your logo.
I have a client hoping that we can get 1 or more custom menu commands added in to the default or advanced TinyMCE toolbar used in 2sxc. Is that possible? If yes, how/where do I get started?
There is no quick & simple way to do it, as there is no "injection" point for this. There is so much you could do with tinymce it's a difficult to provide a clear place to inject changes.
So as of now the best way would be to replicate the existing input-component and register your modified one as another input-field. For 2sxc 9 there are some blogs explaining how to do this, in 10.x the API isn't official yet - we want to be really sure it will be long term.
Would anyone know what is the best way to add custom CSS for pages inside the CMS ?
I found we could do something like that, inside config.yml:
SilverStripe\Forms\HTMLEditor\TinyMCEConfig:
base_dir: 'silverstripe/admin:thirdparty/tinymce'
editor_css:
- 'themes/base/build/bundle-editor.css'
but that's only linked to TinyMCE, and I would like to add my styles to all the pages in the CMS, or at least for the pages that uses SilverStripe\Forms\TreeDropdownField as it is broken:
TreeDropdownField broken
Thank you
This is unfortunately a core bug, which has been fixed already and will be released in the next 4.0.x release (4.0.2), or 4.1.0.
More information: https://github.com/silverstripe/silverstripe-admin/issues/377
Edit: 4.0.2 has been released, so this should be resolved now.
I included different Tiles/Reports to my WebApp from PowerBI, according to this documentation:
https://powerbi.microsoft.com/en-us/documentation/powerbi-developer-integrate-a-power-bi-tile-or-report/#gettile
Everything runs fine, but when I include a Custom Visual Tile, it appears an error Message "this visual type is not yet supported or cannot be displayed due to security reasons".
Does anybody know how to solve that or any suggestions ? Is there an option/property for custom visuals ?
This is not yet supported. We're are aware of this limitation and will provide a solution. Could you create an item on ideas.powerbi.com to track this ask?
According to this help document
http://community.jaspersoft.com/documentation/jasperreports-server-user-guide/v56/creating-calculated-field
I should be able to create a calculated field or measure for a Jaspersoft Adhoc view. However I don't seem to have this functionality available to me since I don't have the icon required to click on to create these things. Does anyone know if this is a new feature or whether this has something to do with restrictions on functionality due to licencing or something? Is there another way to create a calculated measure that I can use as a work around considering I don't have the correct icon to enable this feature ?
What version of JasperReports Server are you in? You can chek this in the login page, on the bottom left corner there is an About Jaspersoft link. There you can also check the license type.
This feature is available only for commercial edition.
So I guess you are a customer: have you tried reaching out to Jaspersoft support?
