Using Typekit fonts with moovweb - typekit

on my proxified site fonts from typekit.com are not imported.
I have this error message in console which seams to be related:
GET http://use.typekit.com/k/yvr5ozi-d.css?3bb2a6e53c9684ffdc9a98f41f5b2a623701…fad90e3287aa7c9eed409223e66627acbb9dbdff991d65ad30b7f969e63cd8681f2fa2879f 403 (Forbidden)
What should I do to make fonts embed correctly?

Nebojsa,
Your getting a 404 because the Typekit servers are rejecting your domain.
Meaning, every font belongs to a kit in TypeKit, in that kit you need to specify which domains these fonts are served under. If the particular site your working with is not listed here, it will not work and give you a 404.
http://help.typekit.com/customer/portal/articles/6857-using-typekit-while-developing-locally
In your case, if your site is catswithclounhats.com and if your serving the font under the virtualized site catswithclounhats.com.moovapp.com then the top level domain (moovapp.com) needs to be included in your kit.
good luck.

When I try going to that link, I get a forbidden error as well. You probably only have access to it because you might be logged in or have some kind of session going.
I recommend downloading the font file and then placing it in your assets directory in your project. You could even make a new sub-directory called assets/fonts.
Then you can use sass to include that font in your pages:

Adding link to local file in Confluence

I would like to add a link to a local file in confluence. Obviously this link would only work if the file is locally on the users computer. I understand that.
If I add the address like this :
file:///D:/dev/ngs-frontend/src/pages/myPage.html
The browser sends me to :
about:blank
If I try to add it with quotes like so :
"file:///D:/dev/ngs-frontend/src/pages/myPage.html"
..confluence crashes!
How is it possible in confluence?
As you mentioned when adding the web link in Confluence specifying the file using the file protocol (file:///) you might face the issue that it doesn't work.
Obviously this link would only work if the file is locally on the users computer.
This is not entirely true. If you open the developer tools you most likely will be getting the error "Not allowed to load local resource"
As measure of security the browser won't let you access files from a different origin, specially from the users computer (this would be a serious security risk). Only imagine if you could access the files in the Windows directory from the browser, you could break apart the operating system in no time (or steal user data).
This is explained in here
If you put the file in the same server Confluence is running, then this should work just fine. However I believe you can save time just adding the page as an attachment and loading it (Confluence is pretty decent at version controlling in case you want to modify the html file).
Hope this helps!

How to overcome the css problems in IE

I have developed a application, which i tried to run to run in different browsers.
In Google Chrome its working properly.
But when i run the same application in Internet Explorer some CSS are not affecting properly.
The thing i noticed in the debugger is the application is loading the library.css file from resources,
means from the below path its taking that css file and it is affecting my application.
https://sapui5.netweaver.ondemand.com/resources/sap/m/themes/sap_bluecrystal/library.css
Where as in Chrome its not loading any such library.css file.
How can i over come this..?
Please help me on this.
Thanks
Sathish.
Don't load css file in index.html, because in server index.html will not load,so the final solution is we need to load external css file in component. This is the best practise.

cannot find image of webite header in joomla

Am just beginning with joomla on a site that is already existing and was previously managed by someone else who is not available at the moment. I am trying to troubleshoot a problem why the website is displaying the header differently in different PCs but I am not being able to find the image of that header file. I tried to look for it under "site > media" but cannot find the image among the images in that area. I also tried to look for the path to the image through the template css and found this path ../images/logo.png which I believe must be the path to the header image but I honestly don't really know which path ../images/logo.png is but assuming it is the one under "media" then I still cannot find the image. Could you give me a clue on where the header image files could be found cause I've actually still failed? Or, could you make me understand this path ../images/logo.png or how to find an image on a joomla admin interface like say "logo.png". In fact I discover that on looking at the CSS for the template, the image paths found in it are not found in "Media"? Is there another path for the images in the template and how do I access them? I cannot FTP my host at the moment to view the physical files due to the long procedure needed so am hoping that there is a way to find it. I only have joomla admin access and nothing like Cpanel as yet. The joomla version of the site is 1.5.22 which I know is an old one but I plan to do first things first. Hope I've given enough infor.
Try using FireBug, or Chrome debugger - (press F12) and check "Click an element in the page to inspect" to see where the specific image is located exactly.

tinymce file browsers multiple file source

I am doing some updates to a site I have developed over the last few years. It has grown rather erratically (I tried to plan ahead, but with this site it has taken some odd turns).
Anyway, the site has a community blog ( blog.domain.com - used to be domainblog.com) ) and users with personal areas ( user1.domain.com, user2.domain.com, etc ).
The personal areas have standard page content that the user can use, or add snippets of text to partially customize. Now the owner wants the users to be able to create their own content.
Everything is done up to using a file browser.
I need a browser that will allow me to do the following:
the browser needs to be able to browse the common files at blog.domain.com/files and the user files at user_x.domain.com/files
the browser will also need to be able to differentiate between the two and generate the appropriate image url.
of course, the browser access to the user files will need to be dynamic and only show those files particular to the user (along with the common files)
I also need to be able to set a file size for images
the admin area is in a different directory than either the blog or the user subdomains.
general directory structure
--webdir--
|--client --
|--clientsite--
|--blog (blog.domain.com)
|--sites--
|--main site (domain.com)
|--admin (admin.domain.com)
|--users--
|--user1 (user1.domain.com)
|--user2 (user2.domain.com)
...etc.
I have tried several different browsers and using symlinks but the browsers don't seem to be able to follow them. I am also having trouble even setting them to use a directory that isn't the default.
what browser would you recommend? what would I need to customize to make it work.
TIA
ok, since I have not had any responses to this question, I guess I will have to do a work around and then see about writing a custom file browser down the road.

iPhone Safari offline-cache manifest not working correctly

I'm working on a mobile site for the iphone. I've added a cache manifest and loaded it with a list of resources needed for offline capability. The manifest file has the correct content type. You can view the manifest file in the header of this page:
http://www.rvddps.com/apps/sixshot/booking.html
I had a bunch of links to pages but due to my user level i'm only allowed to post one link. You can see the manifest file there and the source code of the page i'm trying to cache.
I've set the correct MIME type on the server, but the cache only seems to work occasionally.. not all the time. I've tried following apples' official caching guidelines as well.
Can anyone point out where i'm going wrong?
Thanks
Daniel
I looked at the manifest file and found 'Â' characters in some of the blank lines. What text editor are you using? Make sure you use the proper encoding and line ending types.
