How to publish custom action to Facebook from website? - facebook

I successfully published a story from website via Feed and also another approach via sharer.php, but I want something different.
Downside of what I have now is that a picture is small and on the left side. There are no custom verbs as well.
I have seen something like (you can see a screenshot) a bigger photo and custom verbs like '%user got a new highscore at %site', etc.
Please look at a screenshot here
So I want to publish something similar what's shown on above picture. But with different text. 'Got a new highscore on'.
P.S. I want it to be done from website, where user has to log-in via Facebook.

Facebook Unity Upload Image w/ Facebook Dialog

We currently allow users to post images to their FB wall by using FB.Feed() with a URL of existing images on our CDN and we can include a description, a link, caption, etc.. The interface for posting the image is great because it's built by Facebook and gives the ability to choose who sees it (friends, me only, etc.).
We now want to allow users the ability to post images of their creations in the game, which obviously can't be pre-taken images on our CDN, and we'd prefer avoiding the route of uploading all the images to our CDN then using FB.Feed().
I know it's possibly to upload an image using FB.API() but this requires us building a custom popup to allow the users to type what they want to say for the message of the image rather than using the built-in popup from FB.Feed() and it doesn't give the options of who sees the post and as far as I can tell, it doesn't let us add a link, description and caption.
TLDR: Is FB.API() the only way to UPLOAD an image to a user's wall? If so, this requires building a custom interface for it instead of using the built-in FB.Post() interface, right?
Thanks,
Colter
Edit: I didn't see this post until now, but it's a similar question but I want to know if there is the ability to add a description, link and caption to the image AND use the built-in FB interface.
Copy/paste from Brian Jew's comment above:
"There currently isn't a way to upload screenshots without FB.API(). It does sound like an interesting idea to have something like that for FB.Feed() though."

The Facebook POST Object - Android

I am making a Birthday Reminder Facebook Application, in which i am allowing user to post message on friend's wall, here i am providing a fixed Image and a Text message to post.
Still i have given text in Strings.xml like below:
<string name="app_action">Wishing you a birthday as special as you are! Hope this is a new beginning to lots of great things and happy moments in your life. Wish you a fabulous birthday!</string>
and ImageLink like this:
public static final String ICON_URL = "http://i1.pickupflowers.com/images/puf/images/product/large/carnations-lilies-and-roses.jpg";
But now i want to allow user to select an image from multiple images and also select message from multiple messages to post on wall...
Like in above image, where written
link and name - here i want to show multiple messages and want to allow user to choose one of them to post on wall
picture - here i want to show multiple images and allow user to select one of them...
now my question is how can i do this....should i use webservice or any other way, like i want to make these two things more dynamic, like if in future i need to add more messages and images, so i don't want to make it programmatically like by using XML or JSON Parser...
As is mantioned by #CBroe, posting using pre-filled message is against FB Platform Policies. You are only supposed to post what the user typed in themselves. But to make it clear, you need to use facebook's API, and in order to do that you need to run a webservice witch is hosted somewhere. when a user wants to use your app, he/she is redirected to facebooks app page, witch runs an iframe to your service.

Multiple Facebook share button/link on the same page refering different TITLE & LINK

I need to create a "contest" page where user will be asked to submit picture.
After that, they should be able to share their picture on FB, Twitter, G+, Pinterest, etc for other people to come and vote.
I want the page to be displayed as a jQuery gallery and whenever people select a thumbnail, the bigger picture open with the associated vote and "share" button.
When a user share an image, I want a specific TITLE & URL associated with that particular image... something like "http://www.mysite.com/contest.html#picture1"... or "http://www.mysite.com/contest.html#picture2"
How is this possible if I only have one page?
I wouldn't have problem if I could use the old "facebook.com/sharer.php" with parameters... but it seems that the Open Graph Protocol is "overiding" the sharer.php parameters....
Works fine with Twitter and Pinterest... I might have the same problem with Google+.
Excuse my bad english, thanks!
Well, set up a (“dummy”) page for each picture, and fill it with the appropriate OG tags … and have your users like that. And then put a JS redirect into that page, so that users following the link when it’s shared on Facebook will get to the “real” address you want them to end up at.
(Btw., IMHO this is what happens too often these days when people think doing everything client-side and client-side only is so “fancy” and that a “good” and “modern” site requires all that AJAX/one-page-only nonsense instead of a real good and working URL structure, and then are not able to handle all that this implies properly …)

Is it possible to use the Like Button Social plugin to like a feed from a landing page?

I have a Facebook feed that takes me to a landing page when I click on it. I want to be able to add Facebook's like plugin onto that landing page in order to like the feed I came from. This would be the equivalent of clicking like from the feed post itself. I don't know what to use for the data-href property in order to connect the like button to the feed.
I know the feed id and access_token and have tried the following:
https://graph.facebook.com/1608072154_362229823788663&access_token=...
http://www.facebook.com/1608072154/posts/362229823788663
So far I've only been able to like link urls and not the actual feed post.
Is what I'm trying to do even possible? and if so, how do I get the url?
Is what I'm trying to do even possible?
Yes it is possible, but not with the like plugin. I have a production app that pulls in a person's feed from multiple social networks including Facebook. I display a gray star for unliked content and a gold star for liked items. When the user clicks the gray star for a facebook item, I send an HTTP Post to the Graph API with /post_id/likes which likes it. If they click the gold star, then I send an HTTP DELETE to the /post_id/likes which removes it. See: https://developers.facebook.com/docs/reference/api/post/ and the "likes" create/delete section near the bottom.

Facebook Video Like using custom like button

I am developing an iPhone application that lists videos posted on logged-in user's wall. I would like to provide an Like button below each video listed. When the user clicks on this Like button, the corresponding video should be liked in Facebook.
The Like button shown in the UI should match the UI theme of my app. I have gone through Facebook plug-in documentation related to Like button. Following is the link with the documentation:
http://developers.facebook.com/docs/reference/plugins/like/
But, I cannot use this Like button generated using iFrame since I will not be able to customize the look of Like button.
How can I customize my Like button? Or how can I programmatically like a Video URL? I am trying to this since long time. I have seen some iPhone apps already having custom Like button.
Take a look here for a nice how-to on styling:
http://www.esrun.co.uk/blog/disguising-a-facebook-like-link/
And the specific policy from Facebook is that as long as you are not deceiving the user, the policy team would consider this practice acceptable.
I could do it using Graph API. New SDK provides support for Graph API.
