The only thing I can think of is upgraded my iPhone iOS.
The iPhone is connected to the mac. I saw my pictures showing up on iMac. There is a connection icon.
However, xcode think that the iPhone is not connected.
What should I do?
I have tried the following:
Open another project. Same thing. Xcode doesn't recoqnize the iPhone. There is a listing for my iPhone. However it says This device is not currently connected.
Note: Super users people do not use xcode. So they won't know. That's why I asked it here. If it's that problematic can someone move it to superuser now I got answers anyway and got things fixed.
I ran into the same problem a couple of months ago. you definitely dont need to restore or upgrade the iOS, just need to download and Install "iPhone Configuration Utility" and your iphone will be good for development again.
You can download it from here: http://support.apple.com/kb/DL1465
You need to only upgrade your xcode.
check your xcode..you upgrade you ios to 6.1 then its connect to xcode 4.6.so upgrade your xcode for coonect your device.
I found my iPhone will disconnect while I'm debugging, more specifically editing code, in Xcode even though its physically connected. I think it has to with inactivity on the USB port and/or with the new Xcode version. I find unplugging and re-plugging the phone works. It's annoying I know.
You check the ios version you updated with iphone. If its higher version, say 6.1.4 please update your XCode to a compatible one, say 4.6.
Check your deployment taget from project settings
Check your base SDK in Build settings to latest IOS

Now I want to download 7.0 simulator with iphone/ipad on my mac and 5.0
Can you please give me step where I download and give me a link ?
Actually I my friend given Xcode in which in build 6.0 os simulator come.
Thanks
Get the new Xcode from here(If you dont have a Xcode5).
https://developer.apple.com/xcode/
Once you have the new xcode Goto Xcode -> preferences -> Downloads
You should be able to find the latest simulator to download from there.
Get Xcode 5.0 from the Mac App Store. This is the best way, as you will get updates automatically.
You can have two Xcode versions, just have to put them in different folders.
Xcode 5 has simulators for iOS 6 and 7.
If you want to code for iOS7 you'll ned Xcode 5.
If you want Xcode 5, you'll need OSX 10.8.
First thing to do, click on the little Apple icon in the top left of your screen:
Click About this Mac and make sure you have OSX 10.8.x.
If not, you'll have to order it from the App Store (£13.99 in the UK).
After that download the latest version Xcode from Apple.

i have jailbreak iphone 4s with 6.1.2 (10B146) ios version. i hane maintain provisioning profile .the status of profile is valid.my device is add on member center it show there.but when i run the app using ios device a pop window open with
"No provisioned iOS devices are available with a compatible iOS version. Connect an iOS device with a recent enough version of iOS to run your application or choose an iOS simulator as the destination."
i m using Xcode Version 4.5.2 (4G2008a).
Apps are not "simulated" on the device, they're run natively there.
Jailbreaking ain't magic. Xcode will still not permit you to just upload your app without the correct provisioning profiles and certificates and whatever (unless you binpatch Xcode itself or use some other kind of nasty hack, like the "iOSOpenDev" package).
So you have to actually copy your application bundle to your device (to the /Applications folder) and either restart SpringBoard or use the uicache utility to make it appear on the home screen.

I'm looking at upgrading my development iPhone 3GS from iOS4.3.5 to iOS5. Now that Apple even rejects apps that use the older SDK and contain an iPhone 5 launch image, I see no need to keep my iPhone 3GS on iOS4.
Even though the latest s/w for iPhone 3GS is iOS6, will an upgrade to iOS5 be successful through the server verification. I ask because I tried to restore in a similar situation previously on a different device (and different iOS versions) but it wouldn't let me so I had to upgrade to the latest compatible version of iOS.
Success/failure stories would be much appreciated.
Thanks,
James
PS. this may not be a techy question, but as a community of developers, this seems to be the best place to ask!
Apple no longer signs iOS5 meaning that you can't restore to iOS5 unless you have previously saved the SHSH blobs either in Cydia or with a tool such as TinyUmbrella.

I need some help. I have an ipad application downloaded from App-Store (free) and now i want to run the app on any simulator. I tried many simulator but i got failed. Even when i am try to run it in MAC OS system, then it is saying that unable to run.
So i need guidance to run the following app on a simulator.
the name of application is : "apsley tailors"
download from : https://itunes.apple.com/gb/app/apsley-tailors/id473679792?mt=8
Thanks in advance!
You simply can't run App Store-applications on the Simulator.
The iOS Simulator is intended for developers: you can only run apps of which you have the source on the simulator. The App Store binary is compiled for ARM while the simulator expects an Intel-build. The only way to get it run is compiling it for Intel which is impossible without the source code.
You can't run it on simulator.
If you have the source code, your open it in Xcode, compile it, and then run it on the simulator or a device registered to your developer account.
But, source code doesn't have a .app extension - so I doubt that is what you have.

I know that it is possible to install lower versions of IOS to jailbroken devices over various tools by creating custom firmware. The problem is we have some test devices in the company and we want to have one device eactly with IOS 4.3. It will not be downgrade since the device itself has IOs 4.2.1 installed. Is there a documented way to active it and the most importantly where can i find older IOS versions?
EDIT:
Editing because this no longer works and it gets downvoted by people who didn't read the comments.
Apple wants us to use the latest version, and develop for the latest version, there is no way of downgrading anymore.
OLD ANSWER:
You can download any firmware for any iOS device here
iOS Downloads
To install it, you have to go to iTunes and click on update with the alt key pressed, then you can choose the .ipsw file with the firmware you want.
For the "This device isn't elegible..." message try this
Apple doesn't want you to install anything but the latest version available of iOS, so every install of a firmware will get checked with Apple's servers.
There is a way to save the authorization for other firmwares with tools like TinyUmbrella, but you can only save the authorization of the currently allowed version; so, if you did not use TinyUmbrella 2 years ago when iOS 4 was the newest version, there is no way to downgrade your device.
