You can use any recent version of Eclipse with the Force.com plugin, but Salesforce provides a specialized build of eclipse at http://wiki.developerforce.com/page/Force.com_IDE_Installation . You might just want to use that if you don't have any other eclipse needs.

I'm installing the plugin following these istruction http://gwt-plugins.github.io/documentation/gwt-eclipse-plugin/Download.html
The installation appears to be successful (if i go on the installed plugins I can see GWT Eclipse plugin 3.0.0) , but when I have to create a new web application I don't find the button for create it. I tried to search the button in "other" too.
Eclipse version: 4.22.0
The eclipse plugin is not fully maintained right now, the recommended way for creating new GWT projects is to use a multi module archetype that separate the client from the server, there is already a good archetype to do that you can find it here tbroyer gwt archetype and follow the instructions in the readme file to check how you can run the application.
After the Google Plugin for Eclipse has been deprecated the options are to install Cloud Tools for Eclipse and/or the GWT Eclipse Plugin:
Developing Apps Script Projects in Eclipse
I have installed both as recommended in Eclipse Oxygen but now I couldn't find a way to import Apps Script Projects from Google Drive.
Is this still possible or has been removed as a possibility?
If it's possible is there any documentation on how to do it?
Don't use the plugin by Google.
Use the one from branflake instead : https://github.com/gwt-plugins/gwt-eclipse-plugin
On the github page there are links to excellent video tutorials of how to use this plugin : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DU7ZQVLR5Zo&list=PLBbgqtDgdc_TqzA-qXrjgTFMC_6DKAQyT
Installation is done by simply clicking the install button on the github page under the "Marketplace" header.
I am trying to use the Sonar-ESQL plugin in IIB V10 for ESQL code scanning. I downloaded the plugin jar file from the website http://www.sonarplugins.com/esql, then added the jar file in the plugin folder for Eclipse and restarted Eclipse. But I dont see any difference in Eclipse. How do I use that plugin? There are no instructions on that site.
Please suggest something. Thank you very much!
The Sonar-ESQL-Plugin is only a plugin for sonarQube.
For a eclipse integration the plugin needs to support SonarLint, which it does not.
To analyse ESQL code you need to install SonarQube, add the ESQL-plugin to it and run the analysis using maven or SonarQube Scanner: https://docs.sonarqube.org/display/SCAN/Analyzing+Source+Code
BTW: The website you used to download the plugin, doesn't provide the latest version. Try to download it for github: https://github.com/EXXETA/sonar-esql-plugin
I've installed the Tools for developing SAPUI5 applications in my eclipse and I've created the SAPUI5 Mobile Project. However, I can't use the autocomplete yet.
In the SAPUI5 Core Libriries I can see the com.sap.ui5.mobile_1.26.3.jar but in the JS file, the autocomplete doesn't work.
How can I use de sap.m in the autocomplete?
Thanks.
Either use SAP WebIDE or Jetbrains Webstorm. Using eclipe is not very productive because of the lack assistance Eclipse give to you. I am using WebStorm and very satisfied with it.
Here you can find how to configure Webstorm for use with OpenUi5/SAPUI5

If you are able. SAP has delivered a local trial version of SAP Web IDE that contains autocomplete and more neat features. The full version is hosted by SAP in the cloud and is subscription based but the SAP Web IDE is far superior to the eclipse plugins in my opinion.

Currently I am using GWT 2.3.0 sdk and installed the google web toolkit plugin for eclipse.
I created a web application project with the plugin and want to use GWT-Ext.
Then, right click on the module (com.company.project) and choose "Google Web Toolkit" and choose "Configure for using GWT-Ext".
Then, a gwtext.jar is automatically generated in the project.
My question is, how can I verify the version of the automatic generated gwtext.jar and all the license issues with it?
As I got you, you want to check the gwt version.
So follow this step.
Right click on the project->Properties->Google->Web Tool Kit.
After selecting Web ToolKit you can see the version which is in used and you can also configure the another version by clicking on the configure version.
Hope this will help you.
