Can't create a GWT web application in Eclipse - eclipse

I'm installing the plugin following these istruction http://gwt-plugins.github.io/documentation/gwt-eclipse-plugin/Download.html
The installation appears to be successful (if i go on the installed plugins I can see GWT Eclipse plugin 3.0.0) , but when I have to create a new web application I don't find the button for create it. I tried to search the button in "other" too.
Eclipse version: 4.22.0

The eclipse plugin is not fully maintained right now, the recommended way for creating new GWT projects is to use a multi module archetype that separate the client from the server, there is already a good archetype to do that you can find it here tbroyer gwt archetype and follow the instructions in the readme file to check how you can run the application.

How to deploy an Eclipse Plugin?

Environment: Eclipse Oxygen.3a Release (4.7.3a), Build id: 20180405-1200
I have completely developed my new Eclipse Plugin. I have debugged it successfully and It´s ready to be deployed for beta testing by other developers in my organization.
The Overview tab in plugin.xml Eclipse editor offers an Export Wizard that works and produces a .jar file (theoretically) containing the plugin to be installed in other Eclipse installations.
After exporting the plugin to a local folder in my computer I tried to install it in Eclipse by using Help > Install new software... > [Add...] > [Archive...], selecting the .jar file generated and clicking [Ok].
However, I get the error message "Could not find jar:file:*<the selected plugin file>*!" and the [Finnish] button remains disabled.
What is missing to make my new plugin fully installable?
The most robust way to publish a plug-in (or Feature) for others to consume is to produce an Update Site. Then you can direct users to that site so they can install your plug-is/features via the Install New Software UI. It also provides an easy way to publish updates to your plug-ins.
Here is documentation about creating an Update Site.

Create new service builder for liferay with eclipse luna does not work

I am trying to create a new service builder for liferay portly project.
If I open the "new Service Builder" dialog, it is not possible for me to click the finish Button. I tried to do this with the guestbook Portlet example on dev.liferay.com, without success.
Eclipse says that I have to enter a project name. However, it is not possible to enter something at Plugin project. I don't know why; perhaps this is a bug?
I did this several times and it worked, but now I've tried this with a new setup. Perhaps this is the reason.
Setup:
Mac OSX 10.10.4
eclipse Luna 4.4.2
installed Plugins:
Liferay
Git
Maven
Liferay 6.2
How do I make this work?
You're using Liferay IDE, right? (I assume that's what you mean when you say you have Liferay installed as a plugin.)
Maybe with your new setup, Eclipse doesn't recognize your guestbook project as a valid Liferay Plugin project. When you click New -> Liferay Service Builder, you have to select a Liferay Plugin project within which to create the Service Builder stuff. Since you can't select anything at the Plugin project selector, I'd guess that Eclipse doesn't recognize any of your projects as valid Liferay Plugin projects.
Note that if you click New -> Liferay Plugin Project, you have to specify a Liferay Plugins SDK and a Liferay runtime. You need to have both of these configured in your new environment.
For Plugins SDK, go to Eclipse's Preferences Window then Liferay -> Installed Plugin SDKs. Add the Plugins SDK that contains your guestbook project and re-import your guestbook project from this SDK. Then check if the Service Builder wizard lets you select your project via the selector.

Can i use the google app engine eclipse plugin with a maven gae project?

I migrated a GAE project to a Maven project with the official way (https://developers.google.com/appengine/docs/java/tools/maven) but I don't want to use Maven to deploy/use devserver.
When I'm using the GAE Eclipse plugin I get an error:
Could not locate /path/to/project/target/WEB-INF/appengine-web.xml
Is it possible to use the GAE eclipse plugin or must I use Maven for deploying/local server?
I found the current process to do this a bit tricky, but it is possible. And it works pretty well after fiddling with it... I've been happy to have Maven manage the dependencies and I've found myself using it to test/deploy too. The key to getting it to work can be found in the GWT docs: In particular, you need to use a "dynamic web project" in Eclipse, rather than the normal (to me) GAE project.
Create the Eclipse Dynamic Web Project as in the link above, including changing the source folders to the proper maven-like location, and changing the web module location to the maven location.
Copy your source files in the right places.
Add the pom.xml file to the directory. At this point, you should be able to go to the command-line and run mvn appengine:devserver
Back in Eclipse, go to the project properties and turn on Google -> App Engine: Use GAE, and use HRD.
To be able to use m2eclipse to manage Maven dependencies and take Maven actions in Eclipse, you need to convert the project to a Maven project, as per this StackOverflow question
You might need to shutdown Eclipse, rebuild via Maven, restart/refresh Eclipse. At this point, you should be able to build/debug/deploy via Eclipse or via Maven!

No option for Dynamic web project in eclipse

I need to create a dynamic web project in Eclipse but the option doesn't appear anymore.
I installed Google Web Apps engine(JAVA) and its SDK along with GWT, ever since the option for dynamic project has disappeared.
Also the option to generate web client from WSDL files is no longer there.
I've tried re-installing the web app toolkit for eclipse but still it's not working.
Any pointers to get back these options would be great
Thanks
Maybe Eclipse WTP plugin has been accidently removed. Have you tried re-installing WTP using this location ? If I were you I would have reinstall Eclipse from strach or even better try Spring ToolSuite which integrates with Google Plugin for Eclipse seamlessly (usign Extenstions tab on STS Dashboard)

gwtext.jar's version generated by gwt plugin of Eclipse

Currently I am using GWT 2.3.0 sdk and installed the google web toolkit plugin for eclipse.
I created a web application project with the plugin and want to use GWT-Ext.
Then, right click on the module (com.company.project) and choose "Google Web Toolkit" and choose "Configure for using GWT-Ext".
Then, a gwtext.jar is automatically generated in the project.
My question is, how can I verify the version of the automatic generated gwtext.jar and all the license issues with it?
As I got you, you want to check the gwt version.
So follow this step.
Right click on the project->Properties->Google->Web Tool Kit.
After selecting Web ToolKit you can see the version which is in used and you can also configure the another version by clicking on the configure version.
Hope this will help you.
