I'm having a hard time finding resources on how to make a custom navigation side bar for my C5 website. I just want this navigation sidebar to display selected parts of the site. Thanks for the help!!
If you only want to display specific pages you select manually, the easiest (and free) way to do this is with the manual nav add-on:

This is a quick and simple way to do it if you need to have a non-complicated menu (i.e. not a nested ul or a dropdown). Plus your clients can update it themselves (if they know their way around a web admin)

Hello I am currently working in Filemaker Pro 17 advanced. I have a navigation bar and I need to add a new button. When I add a new button in my nav bar it only shows in the tab where I added the extra button. So my question is how can I Add a button once and let it display in all my navbars?
Unfortunately there’s no native function to share objects between layouts. You can use global field repetitions to approximate shared objects but it has its limitations. What I tend to do is make sure my navigation is setup up correctly and then copy and paste it into other layouts.
I am creating a multilingual site in Drupal 8. The browser tab title for nodes translate, but in a view the titles are all in english.
Currently, the goal is to create one view page and use a URL alias to direct to the other translation views. I have the filter set to content revisions for languages using the "Interface text language selected for page". On these view pages, everything but the title translates.
Is there a way to force the browser tab titles to translate without having to create additional view pages for each language?

If by "browser tab title" you mean Views' title, enable "Configuration Translation" core module, and then click on "Translate" link next to your View ("Operations" column, /admin/structure/views).
If you mean titles of nodes' which you output in a View, then check out settings of a default prebuild "FrontPage" View, because it works just great with content translations, maybe you've just missed some important settings which you can spot there.
I'm working with a WordPress website and a client wants to show a list of categories in the footer. Unfortunately, it is showing as empty because he has no posts and has set the categories to portfolio items which he wants people to be able to click to.
So, how do I show the portfolio categories in the widget rather than the post categories?

Probably the easiest way I can think of to get the result that you want without having to resort to changing any Theme Files would be this:
Log into your Wordpress Dashboard
Navigate to Appearance->Menus
Create a new Menu, and (if applicable) enable the Custom Taxonomies for your menu by clicking on Screen Options (top right-hand corner of the page) and ticking your Portfolio's Custom Categories and/or Custom Post Types
Once all of the items you want is in your Custom Menu, save it.
Navigate to Appearance->Widgets
Add the Custom Menu Widget to the sidebar in which you would like your items to appear
Select the Custom Menu you just created, and Save
When dealing with Premium Themes, it would always be safest to stay out of their code and avoid changing anything altogether, so try this approach first. Otherwise, you may have to get your hands dirty and alter some code or contact the Theme Developer.
In my iPhone app, I must have around 9-15 different views, all available from a main menu. I started yesterday with a simple tab bar controllers, but they are only ideal with 6-7 views. Which controller can I use? Is there a nice one for my needs?
Edit: I am talking about around 9-15 menu-points for my application.
Each point is a single, categorizable function. I though about something like the Facebook app, where the app shows 2 menu-pages (slideable) and 9 icons on each page, each with another view / function in it.

I think the component you are looking for(the same used in facebook app) is in the three20 library. Its called Launcher. It's like having iphone springboard inside the app. I'd go with that.
Can your views be split into categories? If so, I would suggest using the tab bar tabs as categories, and then using a table view as a menu in each tab.
You could also try using a page control, but 9-15 views seems like they would be obnoxious to navigate with a page control.
I understand that you need to have access to those "views" all the time. You can do what an iphone CNN app does. It uses horizontal scroll, where it has lot's of "views".
This is propably the most challenging part of writing an app for mobile phones. At least i find it not that easy to find the perfect user interface. Espcially if you have so much content and navigation to show.
I think the best way to solve this problem is to write your own navigation. If you want to use something similar like the facebook app - this is not so hard.
Take a UIScrollView in combination with the UIPagingControl. Create a new View for your buttons or whatever you want your user to see and put it in the scroll view. Enable paging for the UIScrollVIew and your almost done. Maybe it's not the easiest way - but in the end it's the most flexible way. You can decide what you want to show and you dont have to be dependent on what some other developer wrote.

How would one implement a wizard style interface for the iPhone?
For instance I have a form that I would like to break down into 5
different pages or views instead of putting all the information to fill out
into one page or view.
This interface must have the ability to go prev or next in case they want
to change something on page 2 when they are on page 4.
This interface must have the ability to go to page 3 directly and still be
able to go prev and next. Seems like using UINavigationController wouldn't
work here since views 1 and 2 are not on the stack so prev would not work.
Update: Check out the "gas cubby" application. It has what I'm looking for. UITableView presents the items you can fill out. Selecting a row takes you to the detail view to enter data and prev and next to fill in other information.
UINavigationController seems like the obvious solution. It gives you nice, familiar page transitions for free, and if you need to jump to a specific page you can just set up your navigation stack without using the transition animations.
I would say use a Navigation Controller. On the 1st view, show the 5 options in a Table View. The user selects a row, and then the corresponding section is pushed onto the stack as a new UIViewController. So, if they are in view #3 and want to go back to view #1 (to be honest, I would recommend rethinking whether or not somebody in the real world will actually want to do this), they hit "back" and then select view #1 from the table.
I can't think of a better way to do this because you won't have room to do something like breadcrumbing, which Apple would recommend against anyway. You could use a tab bar but that is more like options then some sort of wizard workflow.
If you really want them to be able to skip around the process, the combination of a UINavigation controller with a UISegmentedControl to jump to sections would do what you want. You can either embed the segmented control in the nav bar or place it just below the nav bar (which seems more like what you want since you have five sections).
If the Segmented control is not quite to your taste just put up any set of five buttons to change sections and make them visually appealing.
A "wizard" UI is typically used when you have a relatively small number of steps where one step depends on the previous, at least at some steps, the results or presentation depends on previous steps. This is like a navigation tree that usually results in the use of the navigation controller, but with only one potential branch at each each step. My feeling is that the navigation UI would be perfect, but with one exception; A button on the right hand side of the navigation bar that is the left to right mirror image of the "back" button that is usually found in the left part of the navigation button. That button would navigate to the the next step, and at each step the page presented would allow the user to fill in the information for that step. The only problem then is navigating to a step not the next or previous, and this could be corrected with a custom button that includes a drop-down list of the steps in the process. And this would fit nicely with the rest of the iPhone UI, which Gas Cubby's wizard UI (as good as it is) does not.
