I am working on one website which has 2 mode of payment for already generated invoice by website.
Method 1. User log in to site, click on invoice and Pay. For this method i have to follow which method where user come back to site with additional parameter i have sent?
Method 2. If user has provided his credit card details, then with help of cronjob / schedule task, payment should be processed and it should notify to website (IPN). For this method i have to follow which method? This is not recurring payment.

You could use the DoDirectPayment API for both. This would allow you to process a charge at the time the buyer is checking out, or later through your cron job. Keep in mind that the DoDirectPayment API will only let the buyer pay with a credit card though. If you are wanting the buyer to be able to pay with their PayPal account as well, then you would need to also use Express Checkout.

Can i use pre-approval using PayPal website payments pro?

I am making a system in which user permits pre-approval of amount. I've used pre-approval with chained payment. But the problem is that my customer gets redirected to PayPal site and also he/she must have a PayPal account or need to create one. So can i make pre-approval payment using PayPal website payment pro? So my customers will not get redirected to PayPal account. And the process becomes more fast? Note :- I don't want to use authorization and capture method. Thanks.

Auth and Capture is what you're asking for, but then you say you don't want it..?? That's what gives you the functionality you're after, though.
You could do a $0 auth and then run DoReferenceTransaction when you're ready to process the payment as opposed to capturing an actual auth if you want.
Those are your only options when working with Pro, though, and it would give you the same sort of preapproval experience for the buyer.
Here are the steps to accomplish what you're after.
Use DoDirectPayment to run a $0 Authorization (card verification). Users will enter their credit card details directly into a form on your site without any redirection to PayPal (and without any knowledge PayPal is being used at all unless you notify them some way.)
Save the transaction ID that you get form this card verification into your transaction history for the customer in your database. This ID is what will be used to process future payments using that credit card.
When you're ready to process a payment for this customer, pull the ID out of the database and use it with a DoReferenceTransaction request to process any amount you need to.
So the card verification is your preapproval, and then running reference transactions are the same as running Pay requests with a Preapproval key. Both methods accomplish the same thing, but one is with direct credit cards and the other is not.
If you're using PHP you can use this PayPal PHP SDK to make all of the API calls very quick and easy for you. If you're using some other language then there are SDKs available for those as well I'm sure.

paypal integration types confusion

I new to paypal integration in asp.net . I found very difficult to understand the paypal api .
I under stood two types -
inline html form ( i.e is also called buy button )
payflow api
my questions are :
which one must be used for recurring payment ( subcription packages for end user)?
in first type , few sites suggested to use IPN for confirmation of payment. I want to know is it neccessary since without using IPN, also using notify_url we can confirm the payment success (as per my knowledge notify_url returns to your site when payment is completed at paypal site)?
for recurring payment , do i need to store user account details (i.e credt card or paypal account ) in my databas?

1) You can do it with both, actually. If you want to stick with basic HTML forms then you'd be using Payments Standard, and they call it "Subscriptions". You can easily create a Subscription button from within your PayPal account.
If you're using the API then they call it Recurring Payments (or Recurring Billing). You would use Express Checkout for the PayPal signups, and Payments Pro if you want to handle credit cards directly on your site without any redirect to PayPal.
IPN is useful regardless of what integration method you're using, however, don't get it confused with PDT. PDT sends data back to your site's thank you page, or whatever final page you setup for it, and it only works with Payments Standard. When PDT is configured on Payments Standard, even with Auto-Return enabled, there is no guarantee the user will make it back to your return URL. IPN is very similar, but data will always be POSTed to your IPN listener regardless of whether or not the user makes it back to your site.
You'll also want to use IPN to handle updates for future payments on a subscription / recurring profile. For example, the actual payments, cancelations, suspensions, reactivations, etc.
The notify_url parameter you mentioned is used for IPN. Again, though, this is separate from PDT. A common mistake I've seen many times is when people have their PDT and IPN both set to the same URL. Then when people do make it back to your thank you page, the code actually runs twice. Once from the user actually hitting it, and once again from PayPal's IPN server hitting it. So make sure to avoid that sort of thing.
3) No, you will never save credit card details to your server. The subscription / recurring system handles that using the data that PayPal saves on their servers.

How to check Payment failure for Paypal Express Checkout

We are using Paypal recurring billing service (using Express Checkout) at our website for monthly subscription.
Since we have an Australian account so we are not able use the DPRP (Direct Payment Recurring Payment) service offered by Paypal because it seems, DPRP service is limited
to only few countries (US, UK and Canada).
In Express checkout payment details are received at Paypal Website. So we do not have any information, whether the payment failed, user pressed the Back button in browser or He/She intentionally clicked the cancel payment.
After speaking to Paypal support team we get know that there could be multiple possible reason for Payment failure, and seller has to contact Paypal by themself. So we can
not provide any troubleshooting for that at our website.
So we want to know, Is there any possible solution to avoid this or atleast can we diffrentiate between the user for whom payment failed and who intentionally moved to
our website back without doing payment because this way we are not only unable to followup with them but also loosing a part of the customer base, interested in our service.

You should implement the Pay Pal IPN (Instant Payment Notification).
You configure the IPN url address on your PayPal merchant account settings. This page is simple HTML page with server-side programming that is listening for requests coming from PayPal.
There's no need to do something extra in the checkout process for making IPN work. Once you set this up, it will automatically work.
Every time something happens with a transaction in your merchant account, e.g. transaction completed/failed/canceled, PayPal will send an HTTP Post to your IPN listener URL.
Here you can get all the relevant information about the transaction, like the payer ID, the payment status. With this information you can decide what to do with your customer's order.

Dispatch a Paypal checkout to multiple account automatically

My website allows user to buy stuffs, and the payments will be splitted between a few people (generally 1/4 people).
So far, the processus I use is to receive the payment into one account, and then use the Paypal Adaptive Payment API to send this received payment to all the people, based on their percentage.
The problem with this solution is that the "reception paypal account" will have a lot of input/output money and will be the Achille's talon of my e-commerce (if this account is suspended, my commerce is down).
My question is quite simple: is there a way to do this automatically?
I found that if the buyer have a Paypal account, then I could directly use the Paypal API to dispatch it's payment (based on his paypal email) to the people, and that is perfect, but the problem is : what happens if the buyer doesn't have a paypal account and want to pay with, say, a credit card?

Ok, the solution is quite simple in fact but need a complete change :
I had to forget about Web checkout and use Paypal API, do a PAY request with a Chained Payment (defining multiple receivers, with one (me) setted at primary: true). In that request, set the ipnNotificationUrl to be notified of the evolution of payments and that's it!
The response from paypal, if correct, will contain a paykey.
Then, you have to redirect the buyer to :
https://www.paypal.com/webscr?cmd=_ap-payment&paykey={PAYKEY_HERE}
or
https://www.sandbox.paypal.com/webscr?cmd=_ap-payment&paykey={PAYKEY_HERE}
Then, to be kept updated, all you have to do is send a request to Paypal containing the paykey to know the paymentdetails !
That's it !
I'll answer my question on that, looking into the Paypal Adaptive Payment API, we can see a dedicated section "Guest Payments".
It seems it's possible, but it requires all the people that will receive the money to have a Business Account or Premium account!
Well I'll add a second answer because it's more complete and slightly different from the first one.
The best way to do it quite simply is to use the Express Checkout API (SetExpressCheckout, GetExpressCheckoutDetails, DoExpressCheckoutPayment).
By using it instead of the basic "checkout" bouton with an IPN behind, it is possible to define more than one recipient that will receive the money : the parallel payment.
It's that easy!
(Now I have to rewrite all my code to implement it, yayh!)

Transfer amount to credit card from paypal

I have stuck into the problem of related to transfer amount back to credit card from paypal when user cancel his/her transaction. I don't want to use paypal refund feature in our application. My client requires to send back amount at the same time when user cancel his/her transaction.
Can anyone guide me to complete this feature or is there any API to solve such type of feature.

How PayPal Refunds
You don't want to use PayPal's refund feature, but you want to send money back to the buyer? This is called a refund. I am sure you are mistaking how PayPal refunds money. If the user pays with a credit card, they are refunded to their credit card. If they pay with a bank account or PayPal account, they are refunded to their PayPal account.
API calls that refund buyers
DoNonReferencedCredit would refund to a credit card you specify, everytime, and you do not need a transaction ID.
In a scenario where the buyer no longer has a card that was
associated with a transaction, or the time allotted for a refund in
PayPal has passed, you would want to use the DoNonReferencedCredit
API.
RefundTransaction would refund the funding source as described in the "How PayPal Refunds" paragraph.
If your main concern is to issue a refund, via API, you have a transaction ID (you say a payment has been completed so you should have a transaction ID), AND PayPal's refund time has not passed, you should use the RefundTransaction API.
You might be able to use something like DoNonReferencedCredit from the paypal API - but I'm not 100% sure on that.
