How to install Parsing API in Netbeans? - scala

I am running the latest Netbeans (7.4 beta), and am trying to install the Scala plugins.
Unfortunately I am getting this error:
I have tried adding http://deadlock.netbeans.org/hudson/job/nbms-and-javadoc/lastStableBuild/artifact/nbbuild/nbms/updates.xml.gz to my plugin repo list, but nothing on the new plugin list it provides is relevant to Parsing API.
How do I rectify this Parsing API issue?

Question is answered here: Can't install nb-scala on NetBeans 7.4rc1
A working plugin for 7.4 can be downloaded here (nbscala-7.4_2.10.x-1.6.1.1.zip): http://sourceforge.net/projects/erlybird/files/nb-scala/7.x_2.10.x/

Error configuring pipeline debugger in Eclipse

enter image description hereI have been trying really hard to configure a pipeline debugger in eclipse. After using my digital server account in server configuration when i select my site and click 'Debug' button it gives me an error
Could not initialize class com.thoughtworks.xstream.converters.collections.TreeMapConverter
I couldn't find much help online. I even tried changing the JRE version to an older version 14.0.2 but it doesn't seem to help.

That library seems to be a core component of the Pipeline editor. I would suggest that you ensure that your Eclipse version is compatible with the plugin if you haven't done so already.
Currently, according to the documentation it only supports:
Mars - Eclipse 4.5
Neon - Eclipse 4.6
Furthermore, you must install the correct version of the plugin for your version of Eclipse. (Though in the past I've found that older plugin versions may sometimes work in newer Eclipse builds.)
This error relates to discounted class from JRE.
So my recipe for solving the issue:
used OpenJDK v11
installed latest eclipce version
SFCC plugin v4.6
Some found issues:
with new eclipce version brakepoints are not set from JS editor only via ScriptEditor
Thank you,
Aleksandr
I had issues with running debugger, but after I installed eclipse version 2020-12 and installed UX studio plugin it started to work. maybe new versions are not compatible with plugin

Trying to install proclipsing into eclipse

So i am trying to install proclipsing into eclipse but the link wont work
the link I am using Is http://proclipsing.googlecode.com/svn/tags/current_releases/proclipsingSite/
and the error eclipse gives me is:
could not find http://proclipsing.googlecode.com/svn/tags/current_releases/proclipsingSite/
Google Code has been closed in 2015/2016 and the projects were archived: see archive of proclipsing. Therefore the update site does not work anymore.
Proclipsing was migrated to GitHub. See the installation instructions there.

Can't install nb-scala on NetBeans 7.4rc1

I've installed NB 7.4rc1, and downloaded nb-scala from
http://sourceforge.net/projects/erlybird/files/nb-scala/
(the 2013-03-11 version)
NetBeans complains that:
Some plugins require plugin Parsing API to be installed.
The plugin Parsing API is requested in implementation version 6. The following plugins are
affected: Scala Core       Scala Editor
I've installed the extra plug in source recommended in Netbeans plugin parsing api
For no avail.
Any ideas? thanks!
The Scala plugin uses a implementation version of a NB API. That means it uses a hardcoded version and thus it isn't compatible to any other version of NetBeans.
Please contact to the plugin author to create a compatible package for 7.4

unable to install google plugin for eclipse juno

I am trying to install google gwt tool on eclipse for that i go to HELP--->Install new Software---> in text area i used this link
Google Update Site for Eclipse 4.2 - http://dl.google.com/eclipse/plugin/4.2
then whenever i checked Google Plugin for eclipse (required) and hit next it shows
Cannot complete the install because one or more required items could not be found.

i didn't understand what and where is the problem coming .
I was having the same problem just now trying to download Google Plugin for Eclipse. I was running into the same error where it was complaining about:
"Cannot complete install because one or more required items could not be found.
Software being installed: Google Plugin for Eclipse 3.7 bla bla bla..."
This question is a duplicate (Installing GWT plugin with Eclipse) but Ill lay it out for you anyways :)
I followed these steps that I found on https://developers.google.com/eclipse/docs/install-eclipse-4.2 and it worked fine :) The only thing different is that I downloaded from http://dl.google.com/eclipse/plugin/4.2 INSTEAD of from (as when was throwing an error) http://dl.google.com/eclipse/plugin.3.7. When I used 3.7 I got the same error you are having now. 4.2 it's all gravy.
Also, I am doing this on a fresh Juno installation. Like, I literally downloaded it from the Eclipse site right 2 minutes ago, installed it, ran an update (there was one update for Eclipse Google Plugin) and then I i got the errors and fixed the issue.
In fact, I got my answers here: Installing GWT plugin with Eclipse so thank this dude. Not me.
Good Luck!
Your installation is missing the org.objectweb.asm bundle. I'm a little surprised that this is not installed by the google plugin by default. There are many places to get it, but I know you can get the bundle from orbit:
http://download.eclipse.org/tools/orbit/downloads/drops/R20130517111416/repository/
Copy the link and add it to your list of update sites. Then try to install the google plugin again. Make sure that you have "Contact all update sites" checked.
Might be you have Indigo Eclipse and trying for Juno Eclipse plugin.
Refer to link https://developers.google.com/appengine/docs/java/tools/eclipse
Look at plugin links for Indigo and Juno and act accrodingly.
If the plugin installation failed, you may have problems with the Eclipse version installed that might be outdated (my problem).

Cant re-install Google Web Toolkit using Eclipse plugin

I installed and updated Google Plugin for Eclipse 3.7 a few weeks ago. It installed GWT as well as other things. I was able to compile a Google App. I did several things on Eclipse today and now GWT is gone. I look at Preference-->Google-->Web Toolkit; the list is empty. I ran plugin update, it keep saying GWT is already installed and refuse to update/re-install. I uninstall GWT explicitly and run plugin update; it update without complaint. But the Preference-->Google-->Web Toolkit; the list is still empty!
How do I force plugin to populate the SDK info in Preference-->Google-->Web Toolkit?
There is actually an "Add" button to configure SDK. But I dont know the installation directory of GWT. Where does Eclipse plugin save the GWT?
Seems Eclipse keep track of the installation of GWT SDK in two different place?
My GWT SDK database seems corrupted, and Eclipse plugin seems rely on its own private data base of the status of installation of GWT SDK?
Can anyone please help?
I think that what you are referring is not the plugin but the SDK.
Download the SDK unzip it then add it preferences->Google->Web Toolkit.
The link to to download the SDK is: http://code.google.com/p/google-web-toolkit/
