Can't find an answer to this anywhere, so here goes nothing
Have built an video Facebook app that publish opengraph actions when users watch tv_shows. Everything works fine, Actions is getting published, Videos can be streamed inline Facebook and users can add videos to there collection ( Watch later etc )
User can click tv_show name and they will come to the app, They can click app name and come to app.
But then it also shows Watch this TV Show (insecure) if clicked it will show a long error.
See this 2 screenshots for better understanding

I was using RTMP FFmpeg to streaming to the facebook, things work fine but it looks like Facebook now want the user to click on the live video on facebook.com to go live. This thing add the complexity that for example in a company 5 people are working and live streaming a video project and suddenly senior leave his office and go home early, he is the only person who has the facebook-page admin access, now video will not go live because of the requirement of click on live video on facebook UI.
Is facebook have something for this condition. I mean I use RTMP protocol in a software so people can do whatever they can easily and without having technical knowledge. I don't want the person to click on Go live every time he is using the software. Anyone have a solution for trouble like this.
Note: I am writing this question since it's related to facebook development and they told me to use StackOverflow for all dev related query.
It's been about 2 months now. We manage several facebook pages and all these pages were linking to native iOS / Android apps from the CTA button where users were either opening their apps via "Use App" link or were redirected to download them in case they didn't have it installed.
What happens now is that the dialog to connect your app via the "add button" function in Facebook pages, it only shows a textfield to redirect the users to a website (image attached). There is no way to link to a registered app (of course there is a related app registered with all the relevant platforms enabled and the admin has access to it). Facebook, as always is completely silent and not responding to any support requests, clients that had their apps linked to pages now ask us what happened and we are out in the cold without being able to understand wtf is happening.
This happens to 90% of our pages, some of them still have a "Use App" button that works just fine, but all others have the above problem. Also, new pages, suffer from the same problem as well. Changing the page theme doesn't seem to do anything. One (strange) finding is that if you download the pages management app in a mobile device, there is also a checkbox which allows to enter a deep link url besides the standard url but just that. The list with the apps that we had access to link to pages has just vanished.
Any ideas? Anyone having the same issue?
I have an Ios app , i'm trying to implement this flow:
User click a button->a list of my facebook friends appears-> i select one or more friends-> to each of this friends the app sends an invite to download the app from store-> i count and save locally the number of friends invited.
I have read documentation and the FBSDKAppInviteDialog seems to be the right choose. I have implement this solution and then i have discover this:
In ios 9 i can't switch in the fb app during the login
I can't know how many friends i have invited
The safariviewcontroller can't dismiss after an invite
The documentation is invisible
and maybe so on...
I have removed this FBSDKAppInviteDialog, it can't be a solution.
After hours i'm very frustrating, anyway i have see the candy crush app. It can send invites in in web browser, facebook app, mobile browers and it can select multiple facebook friends. Anyone know how achive the same result? I can replicate with Graph?
In ios 9 i can't switch in the fb app during the login
This is expected behavior, on iOS9, the Facebook SDK will fallback to a SFSafariViewController based approach for most of the dialogs
I can't know how many friends i have invited
As far as I know, the dialogs never supported this.
The safariviewcontroller can't dismiss after an invite
This seems to be a functionality SFSafariViewController doesn't support (dismissing it from within the loaded page).
The documentation is invisible
The documentation for the FBSDKAppInviteDialog works fine for me (https://developers.facebook.com/docs/app-invites/ios). If this is not working for you, it'd be a good idea to file a bug report at https://developers.facebook.com/bugs so Facebook can look into it and fix any bugs that might be present
I have developers working on the backend of my app using phonegap and once the user clicks facebook/twitter share a browser pops up and you can log in and share but after
that you cannot escape back to the app, if you get out of the apps altogether then try and return to my app you're right back at the facebook/twitter screen instead of in my app. This is only happening on iphon because on android they have a back button. The only way to get back into the app is to restart the iphone/ipod to get back to open
the app from beginning. I cannot have this as the only option for
people to share from my app as it would be horrible and could ruin my
app before I launch it. They say their is no way to fix it but Im sure its fixable so I am trying to get any info on this that I can.
The other issue is the facebook post itself. currently it post like this
Sent from Appname(with link to app)
www.appname
Text here
but this is kinda counter intuitive because the actual message should
be on top otherwise it will get lost in the other text. They said
this is the only way facebook allows it. Is it possible to get it like this
Text here
Sent from appname(linke here)
www.appname.com
Again any help on these two issues would be great so I can pass the
info to my developers.
I have a website where we use the request dialog to allow users to invite their friends to check us out. From the inviters side everything works as expected. The person being invited does get the notification, but it is immediately deleted. So they would see the red 1 over the globe for only a half a second, but it immediately dissapears and the message does not stay in their list of notifications. They do get the invite in the apps and games section. This used to work, but for some reason it has stopped. Is this possibly a config thing with the app settings within facebook? Any insight would be appreciated.

A little more detail on this. I created this as a web app in facebook apps. It looks like it also needs to have the App on Facebook setting checked with values added for the canvas url. It works as expected now. Heres a link to what pointed me in the right direction
Notification for facebook app requests not showing up
