Restrict facebook app from accessing user's friends list - facebook

I am using facebook to login to my website. The website does not need any information about the facebook user's friends' list. I am interested only in the user's general information.
https://developers.facebook.com/docs/reference/login/public-profile-and-friend-list/ shows the friend list also as the minimum information shared by Facebook.
Hence wanted to check if there is any way to restrict the user friend list information from being passed on from facebook to my application?

No, when a user authorize an application the minimum data shared is it's basic information and friend list.
Unfortunately you cannot change this.
Official documentation:
When someone connects with an app using Facebook Login, the app can
access their public profile and friend list, the pieces of information
that are visible to everyone. Each other piece of information that
someone adds to their Facebook profile is secured behind permissions.

Facebook API to download info about all friends and download their pictures

I'm trying create application that is recognizing my firends by facebook pictures that I have access to. I need to have access all my friends picstures that I can see and information about them. I haven't tried yet selenium-webdriver drivers. Facebook app API allowes me to get info only if they install my app. Is there any other way to grab infos with pictures?
There is no other way. Scraping is not allowed on Facebook, you MUST use the API. Access is only available to friends who authorized the App.
For privacy reasons, data of any user who did not authorize your App is none of your business, and you are not allowed to do anything with any data without specific permission of each user.

Retrieve FaceBook user's friends profile pictures with Graph API v2.3

I am in the prototype and research stage of an app that would create a quiz about a FaceBook user's friends. The gist is that each question would ask the user to match the profile picture of her Facebook friend with the name of the Facebook user that picture belongs to.
As I read the v2.3 Facebook API documentation, specifically the section about the user_friends permission, it appears that any app I make will only be able to get the user's friends' info if the friend has also installed and authorized my app.
If this is indeed the case, I won't even attempt the app as it's unlikely to be any fun if the content is limited to the set of friends who have installed the app.
Is there any other way to get the user's friends info while staying within the bounds of the Facebook Developers Terms of Service AND without requiring that the user's friend has installed and authorized my app?
Yes, that is indeed the case, you can only get access to friends who authorized your App with user_friends too. There is no other way since you donĀ“t want to "invite friends to a canvas game" or "tag friends".
Check out the answer in this thread for more information: Facebook Graph Api v2.0+ - /me/friends returns empty, or only friends who also use my app

App where i can see my friends location

I'm developing a google maps based app. I would like to integrate the capabilities of being able to see your friends location/s (similar to how you can see uber cars or fiend my friends). currently i have a facebook signin option. Does anyone know what sdk i need to integrate or the name of what this is called so that i can do further research.
There is no way to get the location of Facebook friends, friend permissions are completely gone for privacy reasons: https://developers.facebook.com/docs/apps/changelog
You can only get the location of an authorized User (with the user_location permission), see Facebook docs: https://developers.facebook.com/docs/graph-api/reference/v2.2/user

Get users twitter id?

Can anyone tell me if there are any fields in the FB Graph that list a users twitter ID if they've linked it to Facebook.
No, there's no place in a Facebook profile to provide that information, and no way to retrieve it either - you'd have to get your user to log in to both Facebook and Twitter using their respective APIs

What type of application to choose

I want to create facebook application that will allow to insert some data from my site to user's profile. User can choose to set up application. The users enters his ID on my site and when user's profile is viewed there is block of data loaded from my site (specified to the ID).
Is this possible to create such application with facebook ? If no the what type of application is closest to this? My site users want to display their profiles from my site inside their facebook profiles , so facebook friends can see this.
If I understand you correctly you want to add some additional data on the users Facebook profile, something like if Stackoverflow would add their flair on the Facebook profile.
I don't think this is possible, but you have a few alternatives:
Make the user post out a link to his profile on your site to his Facebook Wall, more details here.
Integrate your site to the new Open Graph Objects. Open Graph Objects will create a box on the users profile for your application which shows the users activity in your application. You should check out the demos and documentation for more information about this.
The users enters his ID on my site and when user's profile is viewed there is block of data loaded from my site
You can't do anything like this, you will need to use the authentication flow provided by Facebook in order to get access to the Facebook user data and then tie up the Facebook user to "your user", see documentation.
When it comes to what type of app you should create, there is basically only one type of app with some different options. But you should focus on the "Facebook for websites" documentation.
