How can I setup compass on netbeans 7.4 - netbeans

There is a feature in netbeans 7.4 that allows scss and less to auto compile on save.
I have managed to set up scss to compile but I am having problems compiling scss files using compass.
Here is an example error:
Syntax error: File to import not found or unreadable: compass/css3.
Load path: /www/site
on line 2 of /www/site/app/View/Themed/Admin/webroot/scss/core.scss
Currently the compass is imported like so:

In NetBeans, click the File > Project Properties menu item.
In the dialog that opens, select the CSS Preprocessors category.
At the bottom of the Sass properties is Compiler options. Enter --compass
That fixed the problem you are asking about for me. However, I then encountered further problems with Compass because it was ignorant of the paths to files. To overcome this I created a config.rb file in the root of my project. This had to define a full project path and directory names. Moreover, working on a Windows machine, it was fussy about the direction of slashes and types of quotes.

Another way that you can add Compass to all SASS projects without adding the argument to each project is by going to Tools > Options > Miscellaneous > CSS Preprocessors and adding " --compass" to the end of the Sass Path.
For example, mine reads "C:\Ruby200-x64\bin\sass.bat --compass".

VSCode: Is it possible to suppress experimental decorator warnings

In VSCode, I get the error:
"Experimental support for decorators is a feature that is subject to change in a future release. Specify '--experimentalDecorators' to remove this warning."
I can add the --experimentalDecorators flag to my tasks.json file to remove this error on build, but I can't seem to remove it from my intellisense or error list when I load VSCode.
Is there a way to do this?
I was having this same error. I added the following tsconfig.json file to my project root, restarted VSCode and it finally went away:

I've noticed that sometimes VS Code will not suppress this warning until you add a "files" array in your tsconfig.json, even an empty one will work. For me this has worked every single time now, if the message does not disappear, try the following:

VSC is by default looking at its own TS library and definition. If you're using a different version (which is very likely) you should point VSC to look for that versions definition.
In my settings.json file, i have the following set up:

I believe you can set this for either your User Settings or your Workspace Settings. So you can do a one time configuration in your User Settings or just for one project/workspace. This works if you have your typescript installed locally in the specified folder - which i believe is the default nodes module folder.
To edit your settings go to File/Preferences/User Setting or File/Preference/Workspace Settings.

I've to add the following in the settings.json file of vscode to remove the warning.

You could do it the hard way by deleting the lines which create the error in %code%\resources\app\plugins\vs.language.typescript\lib\tsserver.lib.
Look for the following code and delete it

Struggling with this across two different Angular 2 final release projects, this is my solution.
tsconfig.json in the src fold.

As other answers pointed out, your Visual Studio Code needs to find the tsconfig.json file.
I had the same problem. And it's mostly because I didn't realize the project structure.
(Hint: Read the text from top to bottom in the picture below).
I had confused the tsconfig.json with the tsconfig.app.json.
And I had opened the wrong folder in Visual Studio. As a result, the tsconfig.json was not in scope.
Simply opening the right root folder (i.e. the project folder, one level higher than the src.) solved the problem for me.
This helped me with React JS files (VSCode Version 1.9.1).
1) Put into tsconfig.json:

You can use "typescript.tsdk" in setting.json to change specific folder path containing tsserver.js and lib.ts files used by VSCode.

note: You find setting.json in File > Preferences > User Settings.
If you use Grunt (grunt-ts), you must also add "experimentalDecorators: true" as option in the file gruntfile.js .
Your file should look something like this at the end:

In Visual studio code 1.3.1 my fix is in C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft VS Code\resources\app\extensions\typescript\server\typescript\lib\tsserver.js and comment out or delete the line.

I was having same error i figure it out as this was i name component file extension as .js it should be .ts
Even when opening VSCode at the right level within your project you might still need an extra tsconfig file in your root. I now have a tsconfig in my project root (only containing php index and folders), ts folder (legacy typescript classes) and my src folder (vue components).
Don't forget to close the folder and to restart VSCode.
Please check you oppened in your VS Code the folder of the entire project and not only the src folder, because if you open only the src, then ts.config.json file will not be in scope, and VS will not recognize the experimental decorators parameters.

I already had experimental decorators enabled in tsconfig.json, so I was a bit baffled until I found this thread on GitHub where someone says to check the settings in VS Code.

Eclipse exclude php files from validation but not build

I have a very simple use case. Eclipse Kepler with PDF. New project with PHP nature.
One file at the root

Both files show an error in the Problems view. I need to exclude all files under vendor/ (recursively) from the Problems view, while keeping the code completion on objects defined under vendor/ (recursively).
Desired result:
code completion in test.php still works on Fu and all classes defined under vendor/
the Problems view doesn't show any error or warning on files under vendor/
the Problems view shows errors and warnings on other files as usual
the Problems view doesn't depend on the selected element
What I tried:
removing vendor/ from the Build Path also removes all code completion on classes under vendor/
Project > Properties > Validation > Enable project specific settings + PHP CodeSniffer Validator settings > Exclude Group > Folder: vendor doesn't do anything at all
You should install latest PDT (3.3.1 is available on marketplace) into your eclipse kepler instance.
This version have special feature: "library dir". This functionality allow you to disable all validators (JS/PHP/HTML/CSS...) on buildpath dir.

Programming Arduino with avrdude within Eclipse- cannot find -l/usr/avr

I am trying to program the Arudino Nano from Eclipse. It has the same processor as the Uno (Atmega328p). I have had this working before with the Uno, but have since gotten a new hard drive and had to reinstall/reconfigure everything. I am running Fedora 19 with Eclipse Kepler. I am getting an error in the build process that I don't even know where to start looking to solve, and Google hasn't been much help...
Here is the error:

The problem could be described like this:
First, the library should be specified only by its name and without the "lib" prefix and the ".a" suffix. The linker (this is where you get the error) will look for the library within the specified in the project paths and will add whatever is necessary to the file library name. So if the library you need is named mystuff it will look for a file named libmystuff.a.
In your case this is specified by the -l/usr/avr which I think could be misconfiguration or you did not copy/paste the entire error output. With the '-l' option you specify the name only, not the entire path to the file.
Second, the path should be specified, in the project configuration, where to look for the libraries, otherwise the linker will look for the library files only within your own project only. Often libraries are part of another project - so you need to adjust the project configuration accordingly.
I had similar problem and this is how I solved it ...
Go to menu Project/Properties. On left - choose "C/C++ Build". On right - choose the tab "Tool Settings". On the tree view choose "AVR C Linker" then "Libraries" sub-item. You are where you may need to make changes.
The list of "Libraries" is where you add libraries names, such as mystuff.
The Libraries Path is where you specify the paths to the libraries. This may look like this: "${workspace_loc:/mystuff/Release}"
The result of this is that the linker will look for this file: /mystuff/Release/libmystuff.a under you workspace root folder.

Importing a makefile inside Eclipse - symbols could not be resolved

I'm trying to import an existing project into Eclipse. I did the following steps:
- I downloaded the source from a repository.
- I ran ./autogen.sh
- I ran ./configure
- I selected Makefile Project with Existing Code from Eclipse File menu
The class files are now grouped by type (.h and .cpp) and I can reach .cpp from .h by pressing ctrl+Tab and vice versa.
When I press Build, the building starts and works fine. If I put syntax errors inside a file the make returns an error.
However Eclipse's intellisense reports many error like "Function snprintf could not be resolved", and "Symbol 'NULL' could not be resolved".
How can I hide/resolve these errors? Was my import procedure incomplete?

What is the difference between building C++ Builder project from IDE and command line?

I have different behaviour of compiler, when building project from IDE and from command-line, which I can not explain.
The detailed issue's description is rather big, but it's really simple.
I have a C++ Builder project, which has a PAS-file included (IncludeUnits.pas). This pas-file has several units and inc-files listed. These files are located in separate folders and these folders are listed in library&include paths in project's options.
Folders layout:
C:\Demo\Bin
C:\Demo\Project
C:\Demo\Project\CBuilder5
C:\Demo\Project\Common
C:\Demo\Source
C:\Demo\Source\Common
Bin is output folder, Project/CBuilder5 holds project (bpr-file), Project/Common holds included pas-file (IncludeUnits.pas), Source and Source/Common hold other files (pas&inc). I think that it's pretty usual layout.

If I compile this project from C++ Builder IDE - it will compile fine. C++ Builder IDE doesn't have any additional paths in IDE settings set.
Now, I want to compile it from command-line. First, I issue
bpr2mak.exe MyProject.bpr
command.
This command creates MyProject.mak file, where I can see all paths ("....\Source" and "....\Source\Common" are the paths in question):

As you can see - all search path is passed to compiler and the file (Test.inc) is all here - in that Source\Common folder. But still compiler can't find it?
Of course, I run both commands from folder with bpr-file. And changing paths to absolute doesn't help.
Copying Test.inc from Source\Common to Source will help. Changing {$I Test.inc} to {$I Common\Test.inc} will also help.
Why? It seems that I'm missing something. Remember: project have no problems with compiling from IDE, Test.inc is found without copying or changing declaration. Did I miss some switch to make or dcc32?
I found the reason: command line for dcc32 misses -I switch, which specifies paths for include files.
For some reason, bpr2mak doesn't respect this option. Fortunately, it allows you to specify alternate template for conversion bpr -> mak. I edited default template and added "-I" option to it, pass new template to bpr2mak - and it worked.
