i stumbled accross the same symptom. The weird thing is i managed to schedule a job yesterday.
After doing some experiments i think i found the cause and have at least a workaround.
It seems it is an error with the DatePicker and date formats. My date format is the German date format so it is dd.MM.yyyy HH:mm.
When selecting dates before the 13th of each month the scheduling works fine. As soon as i select a start date that is >= 13th it does not save the date.
If the schedule is saved and i reopen the schedule the input field shows me i.e. the following string:
2013-12-12 12:41
If i don't use the date picker again i can replace it in the input field with i.e.
2013-12-20 00:10
And everything is fine.
It is not an easy workaround but at least it works for me.
Best Regards
Constantin

#user3095179: Your answer saved my day. After some heavy update troubles (importing Datasources&Reports manually as an sql-dump destroyed the posgresql db) with jasperserver 5.5 everything is working fine now.
I can verify the behaviour concerning the 13th, but I don't get it. Maybe the guys from jasper try to avoid friday the 13th.
There is room for improvement within the method you describe, to insert a date after the dreaded 13th:
You can directly circumvent the datepicker, and insert a date in the japanese format (according to http://msdn.microsoft.com/de-de/library/ms187928.aspx says), via copy&paste.
I am inserting this into the date timebox directly: 2014/03/28 03:00. But I just verified that your format 2013-12-20 00:10 works too, in that way.
So this whole answer sums up to: Always use Copy&Paste, so you don't have to open the schedule two times.
Nevertheless kudos to the the jasper developers.
EDIT:
http://community.jaspersoft.com/jasperreports-server/issues/3255
So today I tried the process again, but this time with a report that expects parameters. The date trick was not working there. The solution is provided by a user named dnaboka who patched some javascript files, in this thread in #10, #11 and #13. In #13 Andy.c explains where to put the patched files. In a nutshell put the patched files to:
/opt/jasperreports-server-cp-5.5.0/apache-tomcat/webapps/jasperserver/scripts/scheduler/view/editor/parameters.js
and
/opt/jasperreports-server-cp-5.5.0/apache-tomcat/webapps/jasperserver/scripts/scheduler/collection/jobs.js
The reason some users there complain that this doesn't fix it, is
<speculatemode>
It is related to the dreaded 13th date problem.
</speculatemode>
I believe to completeley circumenvent our workarounds with the copy&pastarino another stackoverflow user posted a permanent workaround here:
Unable to Goto the Second Step of Scheduling on Jasper Server. Again in a nutshell:
Within /opt/jasperreports-server-cp-5.5.0/WEB-INF/classes/esapi/security.properties, comment out the trigger.timezone line. Haven't verified this. Will do it in future.

BIRT reporting exception on postgreSQL DB

I designed the report design file (test_report.rptdesign ) on BIRT report designer. I can see the report by clicking " View report in web viewer" on BIRT report designer. But, when I try to see the report with TOMCAT , there is "There is no report design object available " error.
The TOMCAT and "BIRT VIEWER" is configured correctly. I put the "BIRT VIEWER filse under "C:\xampp\tomcat\webapps" folder. And I have correctly configured the "\birt-viewer\WEB-INF\web.xml" file . I tried the sample reports (customers.rptdesign,TopNPercent.rptdesign) on TOMCAT server, it works correctly.
But,when I tried with postgreSQL , it didn't work, there is exception. I put the "test_report.rptdesign " file under "C:\xampp\tomcat\webapps\brt-example\report" folder. could you give me some suggesstion,please ?
the error message is as follows:

thanks.
I finally solved this problem by editing the following line in Eclipse "XML Source" tab:
<report xmlns="http://www.eclipse.org/birt/2005/design" version="3.2.23" id="1">
All I had to do was to change version from 3.2.23 to 3.2.10. You can do that by editing the *.rptdesign file directly in notepad.
In my case, it was cause by the SFTP transfer I was doing: binary (default with filezilla as I guess it interpret the .rptdesign as a binary) instead of ASCII

WSO2 SSO and Multitenancy Problems

I am evaluating SSO with WSO2 Identity Server. I ran into following problem/scenario. I have one or several SSO ServiceProvider (aka websites). I have one WSO2 Identity Server. I want commercial customers to be able to manage their users themself, and that users to be able to login into the same ServiceProviders.
I set up a Service provider, I can login into it, with users defined in wso2 itself. I set up a tenant. I added same issuer in the tenant and globally. I can generally login into the sso protected site with a global user. I can login with a tenant user, but:
When the request gets back, after the login, I see following error on screen (and in logs):
org.wso2.carbon.identity.sso.agent.exception.SSOAgentException: Signature validation failed for SAML Response
org.wso2.carbon.identity.sso.agent.saml.SAML2SSOManager.validateSignature(SAML2SSOManager.java:467)
org.wso2.carbon.identity.sso.agent.saml.SAML2SSOManager.processSSOResponse(SAML2SSOManager.java:215)
org.wso2.carbon.identity.sso.agent.saml.SAML2SSOManager.processResponse(SAML2SSOManager.java:142)
org.wso2.carbon.identity.sso.agent.SSOAgentFilter.doFilter(SSOAgentFilter.java:87)
I see also a lot in the logs, ending with
16:45:39.399 [http-bio-8080-exec-1] WARN o.a.x.s.signature.XMLSignature - Signature verification failed.
16:45:39.399 [http-bio-8080-exec-1] DEBUG o.o.xml.signature.SignatureValidator - Signature did not validate against the credential's key`
directly prior to the exception. If I simply hit F5, I am logged in and can use the site (meaning that my SSOAgentSesisonBean returns a valid subject).
If I try to logout from this session, I receive an error now on the opposite site, in the WSO2 IS:

I can login and logout with globalusers without any problems.
I assume that the error is on the first-login-return side, but I can't imagine which.
First check whether you can login to WSO2 IS with the tenant user you created.
If you created a tenant, then register the SPs in the tenant, then you should be able to login to web sites with WSO2 Identity Server as IDP, with the tenant users.
With the message you have seen, this seems to be an error in authentication. Not specific to SSO.
Thanks,
Pushpalanka

twitter4j 3.0.3 twitter.updateStatus(msg) does not work

I'm updating an a project that uses twitter api v1 to v1.1, I realised that the application is not sharing to twitter anymore. I did some research and I updated the code to reflect the new authentication mechanism
ConfigurationBuilder cb = new ConfigurationBuilder();
cb.setDebugEnabled(true)
.setOAuthConsumerKey(consumerKey)
.setOAuthConsumerSecret(ConsumerSecret)
.setOAuthAccessToken(oAuthAccessToken)
.setOAuthAccessTokenSecret(oAuthAccessTokenSecret)
.setHttpRetryCount(2)
.setHttpRetryIntervalSeconds(2);
TwitterFactory tf = new TwitterFactory(cb.build());
Twitter twitter = tf.getInstance();
twitter.addRateLimitStatusListener(rateLimitStatusListener);
Status status = twitter.updateStatus(statusMsg);
The application does not throw any exception anymore but it does tell me that the statusMsg been sent but when I check the twitter account itself I cannot see the tweet. I went back and I added the same status again and the program threw an exception with the cause being that the message is duplicated which means it's there somewhere but the twitter account does not show it. Am I missing anything here?
The exception is
TwitterException{exceptionCode=[b2b52c28-10981ab8], statusCode=403, message=Status is a duplicate, code=187, retryAfter=-1, rateLimitStatus=null, version=3.0.3}

UPDATE:
I discovered the bug I shoul have added
twitter.setOAuthAccessToken(userAccessToken);
without this line the application sends the tweet to the account that owns the application.
Seems like as of today (jan 14) this error is also thrown, when not using a ssl connection.
Actually the error message is a bit different, as it doesn't clearly state that this is a duplicate status. But the Message contains two ErrorCodes, one of them links here.
Anyway, See REST API, regarding 403 error code? for possible solution (enable SSL, use latest twitter4j).

Read properties file from GWT

I got this kind of error. when trying to read a properties file It works fine in development mode but when I trying to deploy app to tomcat this error is comes.

Whenever you make an Rpc call, the classes involved must implement java.io.Serializable. In your case, this might have happened.
In your service class methods you somewhere mentioned one of the arguments or return type as java.io.FileNotFoundException which does not implement java.io.Serializable. Hence it cannot be serialized.
EDIT : This might help you Serialization Exception while making an RPC call
Every exception that could go to the client-side has to be declared in a throws clause in your RemoteService interface.
If it's working in DevMode, it's probably because you don't have such an exception. You have to find the cause of the FileNotFoundException.

PS: I have checked previous solutions but nothing seems to be working out for me. I checked my web.xml but nothings seems to be a problem there.
There are no duplicate jar files in my lib
That's quite a weird problem, but I resolved it by carefully checking web.xml of my project. This same problem occurred when I added 1 wrong servlet config line to web.xml and it disappeared when removed it. So check your web.xml very carefully and reverse all recent changes to it - if it makes it work, just correct the config errors you just made
