I need to install eclipse market place. I'm using Eclipse version which is shipped with ADT Bundle for Android development. I don't know if it is Kepler, Juno or something else.
It's mentioned in the link below to go to Help → Install new Software → Switch to the Kepler Repository → General Purpose Tools → Marketplace Client
But there is no "Switch to the Kepler Repository" there.
How do I install Eclipse Marketplace in Eclipse Classic?
I've also tried on installing from this link: http://download.eclipse.org/mpc/kepler/
But error says unable to read repository.
What to do?
Simply select All sites and search for "marketplace" on the Install new software... wizard.

I downloaded the Eclipse Juno 4.2 classic bundle, and saw that Help > Marketplace... was not available. AFAIK, this is provided by the mpc plugin. On their website however, I didn't see a trace of how to install the mpc client for Juno.
How can I add the Marketplace Client to the classic Juno bundle?
As far as I know, the Classic distribution does not contain the Marketplace client (and that is the only such official distribution). However, it is available for download.
Select Help/Install new software... from the menu, select the Juno update site (http://download.eclipse.org/releases/juno), and then look for the Marketplace client - it is in the General Purpose Tools category.
There is one More easy way to add Eclipse MarketPlace
1. Go to http://eclipse.org/mpc/archive.php and download mpc zip for your eclipse.
2. Than go to Eclipse -> Help -> Install New Software and Add and select Archive file Location
then press ok, it will check dependency and install it.
And Enjoy....
I am trying to install android in eclipse to develop apps on my ubuntu setup.
I get the following error though:
Cannot complete the install because one or more required items could not be found.
Software being installed: Android Development Tools 20.0.0.v201206242043-391819
(com.android.ide.eclipse.adt.feature.group 20.0.0.v201206242043-391819)
Missing requirement: Android Development Tools 20.0.0.v201206242043-391819
Any ideas as to what the problem is? I have tried using the url and download the zip manually in eclipse under add new software.
I had something similar. If you need the ADT version 20.0.0 then install it manually (from a ZIP archive) as described here and download it from here: http://dl.google.com/android/ADT-20.0.0.zip
Good luck
During installation, there's an error about requiring org.eclipse.wst.sse.ui. How do I fix that?
The Google Plugin for Eclipse depends on other specific Eclipse components, such as WST. Your installation of Eclipse may not yet include all of them, but they can be easily installed by following these instructions. Eclipse 3.6 (Helios)
Select Help > Install New Software...
Click the link for Available Software Sites.
Ensure there is an update site named Juno. If this is not present, click Add... and enter http://download.eclipse.org/releases/juno for the Location.
Now go through the installation steps; Eclipse should download and install the plugin's dependencies.
Filter for wst and install all those. Restart Eclipse and then you can install the adt plugins.
Intsalling Android ADB on Eclipse JUNO Windows7PRO.
These steps worked for me:
1- go to "help" - "install new software"
2- inserert a new path called AndroidADT https://dl-ssl.google.com/android/eclipse/
3- check the box "Contact all update sites during install to find required software".
4- select all the 6 android components
5- download, restar eclipse, update the adt then... enjoy!!!
Try this:
When installing ADT through Eclipse just make sure you have checked: Contact all update sites during install to find required software. That helped me.
Also try to update eclipse (Help -> Check for updates)
Solution is: check the contact all update sites ...
I have installed Eclipse SDK, which doesn't come with Eclipse Marketplace. Is it possible to download Eclipse Marketplace as a plugin?
From what it looks from their site, it seems as we can only get it when downloading specific versions of Eclipse.
Thanks

I'm running Eclipse 3.6.1 Classic, which does not come with the Eclipse Marketplace plugin by default. I've looked around the Eclipse website, but I don't see an available plugin for installing Eclipse Marketplace. Am I just not seeing it?

If you use Eclipse Luna SR 1, the released Marketplace contains a bug; you have to install it from the Marketplace update site. This is fixed again in Luna SR 2.
Marketplace update site:
Luna - http://download.eclipse.org/mpc/luna
Helios - http://download.eclipse.org/releases/helios
Juno - http://download.eclipse.org/releases/juno
Mars - http://download.eclipse.org/releases/mars
The steps below are for Eclipse Indigo Classic Version.
Help->Install New Software...
Point to Eclipse Indigo Site, If not available add the site
"Indigo - http://download.eclipse.org/releases/indigo"
Work with the above site
Look at "General Purpose Tools"->Marketplace Client
After installing, restart Eclipse and you can find Marketplace in "Help->Eclipse Marketplace..."
Help->Install New Software...
Point to Eclipse Juno Site, If not available add the site "Juno - http://download.eclipse.org/releases/juno"
Select and expand general purpose tools
Select and install Marketplace client
With Eclipse 3.7 Indigo, I found the link at http://www.eclipse.org/mpc/
which told me the download location and plugin was
http://download.eclipse.org/mpc/indigo/
Which made the "Eclipse Marketplace Client" available in my Software updates after I added that address as a repository. Didn't seem to be in the core list on a fresh install.

I have the eclipse CDT installed, and I would like to install Java development functionality (JDT) on top of my CDT installation. I've been Googling from an hour but I can't figure out how to do this.
What plugin do I need to install? What update site do I need to use?
All versions of Eclipse have a standard base, then a specific set of plugins, depending on the version. All you have to do is go to the Help > Install New Software menu, select the Eclipse update site (e.g. "Galileo - http://download.eclipse.org/releases/galileo"), and under the Programming Languages section, select Eclipse Java Development Tools.
If you don't see the Java Development Tools in the list, click on the "already installed" link on the install page--you may already have the Java tools installed.
Remember to write http:// before the download.eclipse..... if you don't put that it won't work
For Eclipse 2020-06 the weakest precondition seems to be
1.) JDK 11
2.) eclipse.ini has top entries
-vm
<jdk-11/jre-11 path>/bin
3.) JDT appears in "Install New Software" repository http://download.eclipse.org/releases/2020-06 as "Eclipse Java Development Tools"
NOTE: Installation of Java 11 is not required, downloading/extracting ZIP File is sufficient, e.g. if you prefer to continue development with Java 8
Update for Eclipse Release 2021-3
Here, with the JDT-Release JDK 11 or later is already installed
Choose Menu Help->Install New Software,
Select Work With: "2021-03 - http://download.eclipse.org/releases/2021-03"
Filter "Development Tools"
Select "C/C++ Development Tools SDK"
Complete Installation with Next ... Restart Eclipse
