I've spent almost whole day fixing permission issue on Reporting Server without any success. So would really appreciate any help.
Reporting services were already installed on the pc, but weren't ever used before.
PC is running Win Server 2008 R2 Standard SP1
Pc is not in domain.
SQL is 2008.
In Reporting Service Config Manager I setup account to 'Local System' and tried to access http://server/ReportServer (I tried any different accounts)
And here comes my problem.
I keep getting error
The permissions granted to user 'username' are insufficient for performing this operation. (rsAccessDenied)
I'm logged in as admin account. I understand that this is permission issue, but really not sure where can I fix this.
Also user has db_owner + RSExecRole in ReportServer db
I can access http://server/Reports, but don't see site setting link.
Thanks for any suggestion.
OK, I found solution that worked for me. I had to edit RsReportServer.config file
<AuthenticationTypes>
<RSWindowsNegotiate/>
<RSWindowsNTLM/>
</AuthenticationTypes>
I replaced code above with this
<AuthenticationTypes>
<RSWindowsBasic/>
</AuthenticationTypes>
Hope it helps someone else.
Looks like your user have the lowest permissions basing on what you said that you can go to http://server/Reports
but do not see this
To further see if you really have permission issues you need to use SSMS to open your reporting server instance like such
If you successfully log in to that instance you should be able to see and manipulate the following roles and what the roles can do
I suggest giving full access to the Browser role and check now if you can get the site settings

When i launching my minecraft server everything is going well at the start but when world is generating... well it is not generating completely. It says around 80-90% and thats it, server is launched but because world is not generated completely i cant join (my friends cant too). I've tried downgrading java, creating the new world, switching port or even the IP. error while joining to server ; console look
Do you have legitimate Mojang Account? If not, the server will not let you join. I have a cracked version of Minecraft (Tlauncher) and it will not let me join most servers. If you have a cracked account, go in the server properties. There should be an option for "cracked" or "online mode." Once you get there, turn on "cracked" or turn off "online mode." Note: Online mode is just a way to authenticate accounts. It does not affect whether or not your server can run online. If you have a legitimate PAID Mojang account, then try checking the IP address on your computer and make sure you type in the IPv4 address (on Windows, you can find this by typing ipconfig into CMD).

I know that deleting the main profile is a stupid action and it is mainly my fault. I still want to understand the consequences and issues based on my mistakes.
I did today some really silly stuff I used in my Ubuntu Terminal command sudo rm -rf taras, which deleted all the stuff that I had on my Ubuntu taras profile. I was trying to delete other account but ... forgot to modify something.
Luckily I started deploying Ubuntu 2 months ago. I am using it as a secondary OS with Windows (double booting) so none of my personal files where destroyed but my projects, savings were deleted.
Can you please explain to me what are the consequences of this? Do I need to reinstall Ubuntu again? Or I still can continue my work there? In such situations Git really helps a lot ;-)
There isn't anything fundamental in the home directory. You would still be able to boot, though possibly you would end up in a tty login prompt. Alternatively, if it boots into a login manager, logging in might produce some errors. You would still be able to login with your usual credentials.

1st PC easily access virtual box.
but when i access with 2nd PC,1st PC automatically logout from virtual box.
using virtual box with remote access.
If anyone knows then please guide me.
Thanks
If your logging on as the same user on a server you are probably kicking yourself off with the second pc, try making another user account and logging on via it.
I don't think it is possible to do so as only one PC can logon to a user at a particular time. If you connect again, the first one gets disconnected.
For accessing the same machine/virtual machine at the same time, you need to create another user to do so.

2 days ago i got a https request from facebook.
Now i am getting wierd notifications when some one message me on facebook.
I am pretty sure this is ilegal.
I gave no permission also i dit not read any thing about it.
And i want it gone, can any one help me?
It is not showing anywhere, not in chrome://plugins chrome://settings or windows programs.
i dont have time to search for it and get nowhere...
if some one has the knowledge of this installation please respond, many thanks.
Regards.
Maybe you are confusing (one of the new features of FB) desktop notifications with something.
Firstly, its not illegal.
Secondly, I'm very sure that you have allowed it yourself.
How to remove it:
Open facebook.
Click on the lock in the address bar (where you type the url). You should see the lock before https:// (from where url starts).
You can see the Permissions tab there, which should show:
Notifications: Allowed by you.
Click on it and disable it.

I'm working as service desk guy. An user has reported today, that he's unable to start his Lotus Notes client because of getting this error: Problem with ID. I have asked our Lotus Notes/Domino administrators if they have any idea what might be wrong, but they just simply turned me down saying the user should ask his local IT team for help, which is hardly a solution, because the user is somewhere in Asia on weak (if any) internet connection most of the time.
I'm quite positive something must be wrong with his local ID file, because he is able to send e-mails from Lotus Traveler and probably webmail too (but hasn't confirmed that yet).
I would be grateful for any suggestions what might be causing the error and how to fix it.
If the Id file is corrupt then the only solution is to replace the id file with a working copy. There is no "id- fixup" or any other cure for a defective id.
In an environment, where all possibilities that IBM delivers are in use, getting a new id file is as easy as deleting the old one and restarting the client.
This function is called "Id Vault".
Without a vault, someone at the helpdesk has to either
- recover the ide using the id recovery (if in use, it is the function that was used before id vault)
- get the id file from a backup
- recreate the id file (loosing all encrypted data that has been encrypted with the broken id)
So: there is nothing for you to do, as all of these steps need a domino- administrator.
As written earlier: the only chance is to rename the id... If ID Vault is in place, it will be automatically recreated
