I've got a simple text on my page which needs localizing, but it contains a link. How do I localize it?
for the release notes.
So I need to be able to have that in German:
Klicken Sie hier fur die release notes
It's currently a simple static link in the html. Obviously I will need to create a Link object on the page, but how do I get the link inside the label, and the whole thing localised?

I am trying to publish user stories on a facebook user's wall using graph api.
My use case is like this:
the user wrote an article that regards a specific community
I created one action 'writes' and two objects 'article' and 'community'.
The two objects have each their pages on my website, where I created all the corresponding meta data for open graph. Tested with the Open Graph Object Debugger and it looks fine.
Now I wanted to customize the way the story is shown.
The default sentence is for example
"[user] wrote [article.noun] via [appname]"
(brackets are there just to identify placeholders)
but I would like to include information about the community.
So what I did is add a property to the write action, called community that expects a reference to a community object.
Then I changed the sentence to:
"[user] wrote [article.noun] on community.title via [appname]"
via triboom demo"
but community.title is just treated as plain text and not as a placeholder.
Is there a way to tell FB to use the property value in the sentence?
I could not find any documentation on this.
TIA
s
Ok, just found out you need to use {object.property} syntax (doc is here https://developers.facebook.com/docs/opengraph/creating-custom-stories#variations)
Will investigate more and update the answer if it works.
Thank you very much for posting that!
How can the placeholders be referenced if there are more than one objects in the sentence? Like, for example, in the "One to Two" sentence:
"[user] wrote [article1.noun] and [article2.noun] on community.title via [appname]"

Hi i'm creating a webpage for my school's newspaper/journalism club. to be honest i don't know if any of the club members have much html programming ability and when i finally publish this page, i don't want to have to teach them how to update the page themselves (i will still help i just don't want to have to update the homepage my self) so basically my question is: is there a simple way to create an html form(s) that can create an html webpage? and could it be made so it updates to multiple pages at once. Thanks!
oh also if it is not possible with html or html5 i'd appreciate it if you post which programming language it needs to be done in :)
basically what i want is a form for the title, one for the paragraph, maybe a couple for pictures and i want it to turn out in the same format every time.....
I guess you'd have to look at a CMS (content management system) like Drupal, Joomla, WordPress, ... (there are many many more out there)
These CMS let you create and update your pages in just a few clicks even without basic HTML knowledge!

Can anybody help me that how can i set PRINT and save as PDF icon(functionality) in TYPO3 pages ?
Thanks...in advance..
There are many examples in Google and I think that you should browse them, to find the one the best fits your needs.
In general 'historically' print version was suggested to be build with new PAGE cObject which typeNum is set to 98 (of course that's only suggestion) in general going this clue, you should find many examples and other resources by searching in Google for typo3 typeNum 98.
When you'll create alternative PAGE object (and maybe also use modified template for it) you need also add on your webpage a link which be the same as the current URL but with additional param &type=98, when user will click it TYPO3 will open the alternative version of the page. So you can add to this a JS in header which will also start system's print dialog.
You can also search the extensions repository and find something for placing the print button if you are unfamiliar with TypoScript.
PDF rendering is similar from point of view of the frontend, however most probably you need to use some additional lib, so it will be best to search for ready to use solution from the repo.
In general PDF version could be tricky, therefore from my experience I can say that nowadays it's sometimes better to avoid the PDF icon at all or use linking to some external service. Of course all depends on your needs. Remember that there are many programs which are able to create PDF's so if it is not required maybe it's no worth of its effort.
Finally take a look at the AddThis widget it can be also used for easy adding of icons for printing and online PDF creation, additionally you can also send invitations via e-mail, or even share the link on the hundreds social portals. And what's most important installing this is just like adding view lines of HTML code vie TypoScript.
I'm fairly new at iOS development so please forgive my ignorance.
I have web view with a search form, sending request to display different pages depending on the search query. When displaying a selected page I want to have a normal html link at the top which will give the user the possibility to display all images available using the very nice MWPhotoBrowser.
So somehow I need to tell Xcode to open MWPhotoBrowser using a link and when this link is pressed send a variable to MWPhotoBrowser and in that viewController somehow loop through a my url.com/variable.
Is this the best way to do this and is it even possible? I have searched as much as possible but I'm not sure what to look for so I would really appreciate if you could point me in the right direction.
Judging from this link at github project it should be fine.
i added new logo in media manager the name is joomla_logo_black.png and also i changed in defalt temple css file but it's not working, and also i want to add a suggestion form in my web site it's shoud contain title descreption and email id, please help, thanks in advance
I don't really understand what kind of joomla logo you want to replace! If there is a joomla logo in your template you can change it with the tamplate.css for sure !
If you didn't find the logo, or the image, maybe there is another css file near the template.css file.
The image you replaced might be cached in your browser. If you right click on the image you want to replace you can usually open the image in another tab. Look at it in a new tab then refresh the page an see if it updates. If not, at least you will have the URL of the image you are replacing.
As for adding forms, there are several components for creating forms in Joomla. My favorite is ChronoForms, but there are several very highly rated and reviewed options.
