nsuser user ID is not properly defined to the system. Aborting install - solaris

I am trying to install iPlanet pacakage on a Solaris dev box using pkgadd. When I run it it gives me "nsuser user ID is not properly defined to the system. Aborting install." and installation fails.
I am not sure what the error really means and how to fix it. I t would be a great help if someone could point me to the right direction.
Thanks.

I found out that the installation script checks for nsuser in /etc/passwd and nsgroup in /etc/group. I edited those files to add nsuser and nsgroup.
in /etc/passwd i added
nsuser:x:(nsuser id):(nsgroup id):(user name):/home/nsuser:/usr/bin/ksh
in /etc/group I added
nsgroup::(group id):nsuser
And that's it. Re installed the package and it works.

Squarespace Local Development doesnt seem to want to work

I am following the developers.squarespace.com documentation and I am trying to use a local dev environment to make my static website into a squarespace template. As far as getting the server started, everything is working fine until I get to the point of installing the squarespace server to my system. To beging, I use this command in my Mac's terminal:
npm install -g #squarespace/server
After I enter this, everything once again seems to be working correctly because I am met with this (which doesn't show any errors as I have seen for others):
Executing: npm run bundle
> #squarespace/server#1.1.2 bundle /Users/Squid/.npm-global/lib/node_modules/#squarespace/server
> node scripts/bundlejre.js --accept --clear -tz -j 8u131 -o build/distributions/runtimes/jre
Bundling compatible JRE (This may take a while)
> #squarespace/server#1.1.2 cleanupscript /Users/Squid/.npm-global/lib/node_modules/#squarespace/server
> node scripts/execif.js --os=win32 --exists=build node scripts/vetolines.js build/distributions/local-developer/bin/run.bat #!
+ #squarespace/server#1.1.2
updated 1 package in 56.891s
Following that, I clone my site into a folder on my desktop from git and then navigate to the folder in terminal. At this point, I attempt to start the Dev Server, by running the following command(with the "site-name" changed to my site's name:
squarespace-server https://site-name.squarespace.com
My problem begins here, I am met with the following response from the terminal:
-bash: squarespace server: command not found
My mac doesn't recognize the server, even though I found the folder manually on my computer (but I don't know what to do with it).
So far I have attempted a couple troubleshooting methods:
I have a trial site so I tried to use the --auth flag as suggested on the documentation.
I restarted the whole process, so I removed all node and squarespace related files from my system and started again.
After looking online for answers, I installed homebrew to make sure that I am installing node and git correctly to my system.
Finally, I have attempted to change permissions for npm (but I'm not sure that I did this part correctly or not since I don't receive any permission errors).
Also, thank you so much for reading through all this. I just really wanted to make sure you all understood where I was at in this whole process.
I think you can solve this by adding an export path to your profile.
Open the terminal
Enter the following command
touch ~/.bash_profile
(this creates the bash profile)
open ~/.bash_profile
(this opens the bash profile you just created)
Your bash profile will open in a text editor.
Add the following line, then save:
export PATH=~/.npm-global/bin:$PATH
Restart terminal and try using the command again. < This part is important. If you don't restart your terminal it won't recognise the profile.

Service 'MongoDB Server' (MongoDB) failed to start

I'm trying to install mongo DB on my local machine with the installer from the official website. But I'm continuously getting this message, can someone help?
I've tried the solution provided here but didn't help.
I suggest doing the following:
Hit Win+R to open up you run.exe then inside of it enter services.msc to open up services. Try locating the service under the name of MongoDB Server and set the Startup Type manually to Automatic - [In addition to that, you could set the username and password manually. If you get a message saying the user was granted login as a service right, try hitting retry on the MSI dialog and see if it starts].
Important:
Don't forget to save and close everything (services.msc) before continuing.
Also very important, you should (must) check your .NET framework version and update it to version 4.5 and above. You could download a software like eg Driver Booster to update all of your drivers and additional components that are outdated.
I ran into the same issue. My problem was the installation location. I was trying to install under C:\MongoDB. I resolved it by installing in the default MongoDb location which is C:\Program Files\MongoDB.
For me this is usually an issue with the configuration file %ProgramFiles%\MongoDB\Server\x.x\bin\mongod.cfg
At some time there was an invalid option "snmp" enabled (only valid in enterprise version).
Nowadays, although the installer asks for directories for data and logs it doesn't ALWAYS seem to use these, but defaults to %MONGO_DATA_PATH% or %MONGO_LOG_PATH%, respectively. I don't know where these should be defined, but the server fails at accessing c:\data\db (which doesn't exist). So you have to correct the paths.
I also faced this kind of error. But I just change the Network service to Local system in Log On As tab.
Follow my step-by-step below to resolve it:
Press Win+R, type: services.msc, then looking for MongoDB Server (MongoDB)
Double click on MongoDB Server (MongoDB).
Then it will open properties tab. On that tab click on Log On
After that check two items i.e. Local System account and Allow service to interact with desktop
After that press Apply and OK button. That's it, cheers!!
Open command prompt and copy the following command:-
"C:\Program Files\MongoDB\Server\4.2\bin\mongo.exe"
NOTE: This Tricks is work on my Windows 8.1 PC.
Comment out string with mp: in configuration file: %ProgramFiles%\MongoDB\Server\x.x\bin\mongod.cfg
Like this:
...
#snmp:
#mp:
Click Windows+r, type lusemgr.msc , Go to Groups and double click Administrators, Click Add, Click Advanced and click Find Now. Double click in Network Service (in bottom list) and click OK.
It worked for me.
Installing in the other locations other than the windows directory caused me this error. Reinstalling the setup with the recommended method of "complete" fixed it.
The problem occurs if you have Windows version previous to Windows 10.
Install the following update before installing MongoDB. Click on the link below.

T24 cannot find a class after install, need more configuration?

I am quite new to TEMENOS t24, as this is my first install of the application. Sorry if this is too basic, but I am rather lost here, so please bear with me and help me out if you can:
After completing the install of Model Bank on my test server, I get the following error after trying to run the tRun EX command from console:
Cannot find 'EX' (class : 'com.temenos.t24.EX_cl')
The TAFJ installer gave no error whatsoever, and I double-checked all the directories and files copied from TAFJ_HOME to my T24_HOME, and they appear to be the same, same file and folders size and same number of files and folders as well, so it doesn't seem to be anything "missing" from my installation.
Could it be a configuration issue? Is there another path or tafj.properties entry that I could be missing? btw, it's a Windows install that I am trying here, if that helps.
Thanks in advance for any help you can provide in order for me to finish this install.
EX is a T24 program which is the entry point to login to T24.
tShow EX - This commnad should show you the java class path for this Program.
If not, Please make sure if you have the proper classpath setup in tafj.properties
temn.tafj.directory.precompile=/../../T24/T24lib
I fixed this issue by copying complete t24lib jars , issue was coming because earlier few jars were not copied properly and size was showing 0 kb.

How do I delete my typo3cms database?

Help is requested to delete a database I have created in TYPO3 setup.
I have installed XAMPP in Ubuntu 16.04 and configured it correctly and it runs. Now I was in the process of configuring TYPO3 in XAMPP using this very good guide.
After creating the "typo3cms" database, the next stage asked for a user name and password. I think I was supposed to put in my Ubuntu username and password, but erroneously I put in a new username and password and got the error of not being able to connect to my database.
I tried to go back to the previous stage of creating a database, which I can't because it already exists. But then I cannot go forward anymore. I have no idea where the database resides so that I can delete it and recreate it. I have tried uninstalling typo3 and reinstalling it. I have tried to google the problem without success.
Short of purging xampp completely and starting from scratch, is there a way I can delete the typo3cms database I have created?
It sounds like you are so early in the install process that you can start over (by removing all files and doing the install from the beginning).
Alternatively you should be able to remove typo3conf/LocalConfiguration.php and make sure that FIRST_INSTALL exists in document root (this is an empty file used to indicate that TYPO3 is doing the first install, it gets removed after - and you can use touch FIRST_INSTALL in terminal to create the file). Or if you prefer a completely manual approach, manually edit the typo3conf/LocalConfiguration.php file to correct or remove the database credentials and then resume the install.

WHM Upgrade Blocked by EXIMUP

I am in the middle of rebuilding my VPS and I am getting an error in WHM.
CENTOS 6.5 x86_64 virtuozzo – vps-1......... WHM 11.34.2 (build 8)
Reasons for blocked updates
Please correct these issues and rerun updates.
fatal: Upgrade is blocked because EXIMUP is set to 'never' in your configuration. To proceed, you can touch file '/var/cpanel/exim.unmanaged' and run the upgrade one more time. Please refer to our documentation at http://go.cpanel.net/1136UpgradeExim for more information.
The URL for help doesn't exist.
I do not see this file in when I check for it.
I found the Exim Configuration Manager but do not see anything that matches what the error states.
I have a feeling this is fairly easy fix but I am far from an expert on VPS managing. I'm learning the hard way to put it nicely...
Does anyone know how I can clear this out so I can upgrade WHM?
I see in their documentation:
To upgrade from cPanel & WHM version 11.34 and earlier:
Touch /var/cpanel/exim.unmanaged
Run the upgrade again.
What does "Touch"mean? I tried toggling the exim option in preferences but it made no difference.
After a night of fighting this I find the answer right after I post. Here is how I solved it.
Touch means to create or modify a file without actually writing to it. So in this case since the file did not exist. I created a new file in /var/cpanel/ called 'exim.unmanaged'
After placing that file in the directory I ran the updates again and it is now upgrading WHM and cPanel.
Pros know this I am sure but hopefully this will be helpful for newbi VPS admins like myself.
