I want the verified status obtained from facebook to set the verified email to true.
Thus I have gone in and changed the setting
'VERIFIED_EMAIL': True
But when I test the login my verified email is still set to false. I checked the 'verified' field sent by facebook and it is 'true'.
Any ideas? This is the last bit I need to fix on my login and it is killing me.

I'm currently troubleshooting a login issue for a deployed Moodle. Login page uses an alternate page which I have managed to identify. The alternate page considers everything except successful login as invalid or expired login or password.
Since some correct login and password are also getting the same issue.I am trying to restore the Moodle instance to use its default login page but did not find any $CFG->alternateloginurl configuration set in moodle.php. Kindly please provide any pointers you can think of on where to look next to restore the login page.
PS: I've also searched within the active theme, and there has not been any code changes. Uses a variant of Moove
Thank you
Rest assured that its a common issue
https://docs.moodle.org/401/en/Managing_authentication#Alternate_login_URL
There is an entry in the database
SELECT *
FROM mdl_config
WHERE name = 'alternateloginurl'
Note the value, just in case, then blank it out
UPDATE mdl_config
SET value = ''
WHERE name = 'alternateloginurl'
Then purge the cache to update Moodle
php admin/cli/purge_caches.php
When you do manage to log in, check which other authentication methods are active via
Site administration > Plugins > Authentication > Manage authentication
https://docs.moodle.org/401/en/Managing_authentication
The default methods are manual and email self registration
Although self registration is disabled by default in the settings on the same page (registerauth)
I am having issues using the Facebook send dialog. If I open this window in a new browser, everything works:
https://www.facebook.com/dialog/send
?app_id=[My_App_Id]
&redirect_uri=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.example.com%2Fcallback
&link=https%3A%2F%2Fexample.com%2Fimage.jpg
So by doing that, I am able to send a message just fine. However, I need this to be in an iframe, which according to the send dialog documentation, this should work. So I then do this:
https://www.facebook.com/dialog/send
?app_id=[My_App_Id]
&display=iframe
&redirect_uri=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.example.com%2Fcallback
&link=https%3A%2F%2Fexample.com%2Fimage.jpg
Doing so, I get the following error:
API Error Code: 102
API Error Description: Session key invalid or no longer valid
Error Message: Iframe dialogs must be called with a session key
I find it a little strange that I can do this with a popup, but they require a session key for iframe. But even so, that isn't a problem. Because I have already gotten an access_token. So, this should work then:
https://www.facebook.com/dialog/send
?app_id=[My_App_Id]
&display=iframe
&redirect_uri=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.example.com%2Fcallback
&link=https%3A%2F%2Fexample.com%2Fimage.jpg
&access_token=[MY_OAUTH_ACCESS_TOKEN]
The access token was obtained from calling /v12.0/dialog/oauth, and I have confirmed that the access_token is valid:
However, I now get this message:
This Content Isn't Available Right Now
When this happens, it's usually because the owner only shared it with a small group of people, changed who can see it or it's been deleted.
So now this really makes no sense. I can send this link just fine if I use a popup with NO access_token present. But to set the display to iframe, I must include the token, which is fine, but it doesn't like the token for some reason?
It is also worth noting that this behaves the same way regardless if the Facebook app is in development mode or live mode. In development mode, all of the permissions should work for my test users. So it seems very unlikely that this is a permissions issue?
Anybody have any insight on this at all?
Gmail strips the lengthy password reset link and leads to a 404 page. Here is the mail receiving.

In your content format settings configuration increase maximum link length at admin/config/content/formats/plain_text set it as 999 as example.
I am getting a problem at the time of account creation in magneto. it starts loading and not redirect on index page but data saved in database and redirect URL is empty when i checked.
Even not send account confirmation mail if required confirmation enabled.
please help and tell me what setting should be done here because it's working on local but not on live.
You might use the custom extension for that registration.
Or, the AccountController might be rewritten by the other module.
Please check it ( \app\code\core\Mage\Customer\controllers\AccountController.php )
createPostAction()
And also, in your site the magento session might not work properly.
OK, i got the solution as in app\code\core\Mage\Customer\controllers\AccountController.php $url = $this->_welcomeCustomer($customer); was empty so i replaced it with $url = Mage::getBaseUrl()."customer/account/index/"; and it's working.
Trying to set up a follow button with Facebook's plugin here:
https://developers.facebook.com/docs/reference/plugins/follow/
I've found that any profile url I enter that contains periods (for example, http://www.facebook.com/John.Smith) will return an error.
From the error console I receive
Failed to load resource: The requested URL was not found on this server.
This happens with the HTML5, iframe and URL versions of the plugin. Just out of curiosity I tried encoding the period with %2E, and I also tried using the numeric profile ID, but neither worked.
Is there any other trick I can try to make this work?
I don't think it's a problem with the social plugin. please enter the profile https://www.facebook.com/michael.kamleitner for testing purposes - everything's fine here.
If I open the profile url of John Smith I'm getting an error ("Page not found") - so imho the profile is restricted/not public at all. If it's privacy restricted, you can't use it for the follow-plugin. If you have access to John Smith's account, please double check his follower-settings: https://www.facebook.com/settings?tab=followers
