I intend to develop an app for our site but one of the main worry is that I need to use a 3rd party payment gateway that only provides SDK for android in Java and iOS in Objective-C.
I want to know if it is appropriate to use React-Native or Ionic for the app. I am not sure which of these framework supports integration of native integrated and work flawlessly.
Hope someone with experience can help advise on this.
Thanks.
For react-native you can write your native modules for both android(JAVA) and ios(OBJECTIVE-C). It provides you right to write code in module and then register the module for your further use inside your application.
You can read the complete docs from :-
For android https://facebook.github.io/react-native/docs/native-modules-android.html
and for ios https://facebook.github.io/react-native/docs/native-modules-ios.html
I am trying to add a photo editor functionality to my ionic framework application. How ever I couldn't find a decent sdk that goes with it. I'd like add
aviary/creative
sdk but there is not an obvious way to do it. I tried angular-aviary plugin for cordova but that is not working anymore. Please help me find a good photo editor sdk that works with cordova/ionic framework. Any help would be appreciated, thanks...
I've spent about a week looking for the same thing. Beyond the Creative SDK there is also the img.ly PhotoEditor SDK which offers Android, IOS, and HTML5 as well. But as with Creative none of it is easily compatible with Ionic. I'm still looking for a solution but would be very interested if others have ideas as well!
Have a look at the PhotoEditor SDK Cordova Plugin Demo and the guide for integrating the editor under Ionic and Cordova to get an idea of how to get the editor working under Ionic. Basically, it works like this:
The idea is to create a Cordova app that allows the user to open an image from their photo library and edit this image using the PhotoEditor SDK on iOS and Android. This is done by using an existing library to access native photo pickers on both platforms and passing the path to the found image to a plugin. The plugin manages the configuration and opening of the PhotoEditor SDK’s editor and passes the edited image back to Cordova.
I was in search of this functionality and founded a proper documentation for ionic Framework from PhotoEditor SDK . Please follow the instructions given here to add Photo Editing functionality in ionic app Quickstart for ionic Framework
Hope it will help someone.
I am working on a BB 10 app using Webworks . I have almost completed it but the clients want to implement wikitude SDK for AR . But it only provide SDk for native blackberry 10 . Is there a way to implement wikitude with Webwork . Or a way to implement native code in webworks?
We have not tested or tried using Webworks together with the Wikitude SDK. However our phonegap and titanium plugins (available on github) are built on top of our regular Android and iOS SDK. Without knowing the internals of Webworks I think opening a native View on top of Webworks that runs the SDK should be possible.
Disclaimer: I work for Wikitude.
I believe the answer is exactly what you've suggested in the comment to #wulfgeng's answer. The wikitude cordova plugin for 3.x+ would need to be updated to add a native component for BlackBerry10 (or you could write your own native plugin).
I'm developing an app using cordova phonegap 2.5.0 and I want to implement both sharing in iOs and facebookConnect. I'm using Sharekit 2 + Sharekit Plugin for phonegap and i'm having no issues with the sharing, but some trouble with facebook connect. I can make the connect itself using the built in function:
facebookConnect( );
and it seems to work, but I need to retrieve the facebook Uid after the connect.
Any suggestion?
Maybe this can help somebody else...
Because I can't find any documentation about my question I managed to solve in this way:
Use the official facebook SDK and facebook connect plugin - Instruction here https://developers.facebook.com/ios/ and here https://github.com/phonegap/phonegap-facebook-plugin - for the facebook connect. It is full of example and pretty simple to implement.
Added sharekit to my project with granular install - Instrutions here https://github.com/ShareKit/ShareKit/wiki/Granular-install - avoiding to installa the facebook part.
Added ShareKit Plugin - Instructions here https://github.com/phonegap/phonegap-plugins/tree/master/iPhone/ShareKitPlugin - and comment out from ShareKitPlugin.m all the refence to Facebook.
Now the share trough ShareKit is working and I'm going to manage the facebook share trough the official SDK.
Hope it could help...
#Teo_ne: After spending a lot of time, I found that Phonegap_Facebook_Plugin only work with IOS v6+, not support IOS v5.x due to the Social.framework.
