By running the 'top' command on my server, I notice the process 'ksoftirqdx' which is running at over 220%. I have tried to have a Google around and even on stackoverflow. However, I'm unsure of how I should proceed.
I'm new to server configuration, and just rely on the server to run a node.js setup.
Any help will be much appreciated.

Everyone.
Please help me.
When I run my substrate node server by running this command "./target/release/node-template --dev --ws-external --rpc-external", server works well and start generating blocks first.
But after few hours, my server is been stopped and also stopped generating blocks automatically.
How can I solve this problem?
Here is Terminal Error.

Best Regards.
I have made a simple Terraform manifest that successfully initiates a Windows 2016 instance in GCP. As a next step I would like to execute a Powershell script to further configure and install software in the Windows instance.
I can not for my life find any example on how to execute a remote script through Terraform in a Windows GCP instance. For Linux instances it seems pretty straight forward, but how is it supposed to be done for Windows? Does anyone know any examples?
Any thoughts or ideas are much appreciated, thanks!
I had the same situation one month ago in the Oracle cloud. (I think the process is the same for all cloud providers.)
My situation: I have to run the winrm script to allow the communication from ubuntu to windows 2016 server to run the Ansible playbooks.
You can find the answer below.
https://github.com/terraform-providers/terraform-provider-oci/tree/master/examples/compute/windows.
I put my Powershell script (winrm) in the "userdata" folder and update the same in winrm.tf file. That's it.
I can't seem to access Sinatra's local server. I have a win10 machine and I have my servers running in an Ubuntu on Windows. Sinatra has been installed without docs because installation would hang otherwise. This is the server log:
dario#DESKTOP-LSFERHU:~/dev/ruby/sinatra$ ruby first_app.rb
[2017-07-05 15:47:38] INFO WEBrick 1.3.1
[2017-07-05 15:47:38] INFO ruby 2.3.1 (2016-04-26) [x86_64-linux-gnu]
== Sinatra (v2.0.0) has taken the stage on 4567 for development with backup from WEBrick
[2017-07-05 15:47:38] INFO WEBrick::HTTPServer#start: pid=19509 port=4567
This is the app's content:
require 'sinatra'
set :bind, '0.0.0.0'
get ('/apple') do
"Here's an apple"
end
localhost:4567 hangs waiting.
I added the "set :bind" directive as a last hope, but it changes nothing. I can access no problem other local servers (for example a node server on port 5000). I turned off AVG in case, but again made no difference. Different browsers, no difference. Unsure where to go. Ideas?
It seems that the AVG antivirus, before I managed to shut it off, had somehow interfered with the server process. It somehow froze it. Any attempt I would make at starting a new server would only apparently work, while in reality conflict with this frozen process. I was unable to kill the process with any usual method (kill -KILL or so). I rebooted, added the ruby binary to the list of exceptions for AVG, and now the server works just fine. The Ubuntu on Windows had nothing to do with it.
I've followed instructions online to set up a Telescope instance on my DigitalOcean droplet, but it won't start with Upstart.
I'm able to run the server successfully manually, but the Upstart task doesn't fire when the server boots. I'm sure I should be looking at a log file somewhere to discover the problem, but I'm not sure where.
I've looked for the location of upstart logs, but I'm not having any luck. Either you have to add something to your script to make it log, or it just does it according to accounts online, but neither of those seem to be the case for me.
When I try to search for help on Upstart, I'm also seeing people saying I should be using systemd instead, but I can't figure out how to install it on CentOS 6.5.
Can anyone help me figure a way out of this labyrinth?
I use Ubuntu server 14.04, and my upstart logs are located in /var/log/upstart
The log usually contains stdout from the job, and it should help you understand what's wrong.
My guess is that when the server boots and tries to run your job, MongoDB is not yet ready so it fails silently.
Try installing the specific MongoDB version that Meteor is using at the moment (2.4.9) using these docs :
http://docs.mongodb.org/v2.4/tutorial/install-mongodb-on-ubuntu/
The most important thing is to get upstart support for MongoDB, this will allow us to catch mongod launch as an event.
You can then use this syntax in your upstart script :
start on started mongodb
This will make your node app start when mongo is ready.
I've created a gist with the scripts I wrote to setup a server ready for Meteor app deployment, it's a bit messy and probably specific to Ubuntu but it might help you.

I'm also using demeteorizer and forever which are two great tools you should probably check.
CentOS 5.5
I have a web application running on a server and it needs access to another CentOS server's file system running in the same network (via private IP). After doing a bunch of googling it looks like mounting the drive via NFS is a good way to go, but I'm not finding any good step by step instructions on how to go about it. I've read the man docs on the mount command and read some docs on the CentOS wiki as well but I feel like I'm missing something. Here is what I'm trying
mount -t nfs my.ip.address:/somePath /somePath/mount
I keep getting a 'no route to host' error but I can ping the server just fine. I'm guessing that I am possibly missing a port I need to open or something, but again, can't find information that makes sense to a non-sysadmin like myself.
Thanks for any help.
I ran across this, followed it step by step, and now I'm up and running!
