How to use Tumblr as back end for iOS App - tumblr

I'm considering creating a iOS app to simplify and streamline consumption of my multi-topic blog, which currently lives on Tumblr. Is there anyway to pull content from my Tumblr account so I can use it as my backend (i.e I can still update my app with the Tumblr interface)? Thanks!

Yes; you can use the Tumblr API.

Do I need a library for Codeigniter to create a Facebook application?

Do I need an entire library to crate a Facebook app with Codeigniter? I have not made an app for Facebook before the the developer documentation looked simiple. Beyond using my "secret" id for my app what else would I need to do to send my output via my view back to the facebook canvas? Are things more complicated than they seem? Don't I just output to my view as normal except things go to the canvas? Thanks.
No, you do not need a library. You can make all requests to the Facebook Graph api using cURL or any other method to call urls. However using the Facebook PHP SDK does help, it has a lot of helper methods that you'll find useful, do check this link to the documentation for the sdk, it's helpful.Hope this answer helps you.
p.s: And yeah you just output to your view as any other web app
No, you do not need a library, but it will make the process much smoother and take care of a lot of baseline functionality that you will need.
You might checkout my post here to see exactly how to integrate the offical facebook SDK within a codeigniter application as a stand alone library...

Facebook Twitter Sharing options in app?

I want to give sharing option in my app for sharing data, images, webpages, etc. with Facebook, Twitter, Email. What is best option for me?
I'm going through ShareKit that I have never used. Is it any good or do I have to try something else?
Suggest me some ShareKit like links.
ShareKit is brilliant.
Recently there's been an intermittent problem with Facebook's "Connect" API, which is what ShareKit uses. A lot of existing, deployed apps (including some big names) have been facebook-broken over the last couple weeks. Facebook claims to be working on it, and in fact my app that uses ShareKit IS working right now, but ultimately SK needs to move to the newer Graph API.
Definitely Sharekit is good idea to share data, urls and images(not to twitter) with Facebook, twitter and Email but you can't share images in Twitter.

Is the Like Button the only currently supported method for posting a webpage to Facebook?

The Like Button seems like a very specific, and not very elegant in my opinion, solution to allowing users to post a web page to their Facebook profile. You have two options: 1) Use the iFrame solution, which allows very little flexibility in functionality, integration or appearance or 2) the XFBML solution which requires loading the entire Facebook javascript SDK just for one little "share this" button.
Is the Like Button the only way that is currently supported by Facebook to allow sharing of content to a user's Facebook profile? It seems to be the only method mentioned anywhere in the Facebook developer documentation, and I've had trouble finding any alternatives elsewhere on the internet.
There was a service called Facebook Share:
http://www.facebook.com/sharer.php?u=<your url>&t=<your title>
I guess it's still working but I'm seeing people having troubles using it and Facebook is forcing developers to use the Like Plugin.
Now:
Most likely your visitors will have the Facebook JS Library cached on their browsers
Facebook uses CDNs and their servers are super fast
Even if it doesn't fit in your design, don't forget that users are used to it
You can create a Facebook Application and use the Graph API but it's way more complicated
Don't use their services!
Actually, Facebook share is the simplest and most natural solution to share content on your FB profile.

Facebook ,twitter and Linkedin integration with Full Functionality in iphone

I have experience of integration of facebook and twitter api. But Its just feed post.
I want full Facebook application which shows friends list their messages and events.
And i want same thing for twitter and linkedin.
If any body have idea or code for this please give me link or post that.
Thanks
the API for Linkedin You can refer this :

You can use UIWebView to load twitter and facebook. It will let you exploit the entire functionality offered by these two Social networking sites. Though It's not impossible to build an application the way you want it to be but using webview will save your time as well as efforts. Since you are already aware of the FB and twitter integration so I am sure you are already aware as to what all we can do from iPhone application..viz.. Setting Status, reading POSTS etc.. I am not quite sure about Linkedin.. Just in case if you come across any solution for this let me also know about that.

How to go about building an iPhone app that accesses a website with a custom UI?

I don't quite know how to explain this but I want to build an app that can access a website like, for example, Facebook, but I don't actually want it to be Facebook's website in the sense that I want to design the UI. There is a couple of apps like this already in the app store, one being called "Facebook Touch HD". I have managed to get an app to access Facebook with UIWebView, but it just goes to Facebook's mobile website, obviously.
Look at the Facebook IOS SDK.
You probably want to fetch data from Facebook using its APIs. Facebook actually offers a library for iOS, so you may want to check it out.
In general, this applies to any site that offers an API. Usually you can use NSURLConnection to make requests to get the data you're interested in (check the specific API's documentation for details); then you have parse that data (most services output data in XML or JSON).
