We wrote a custom action to deploy some artifacts to our glassfish server. Now we wanted to display the names of the artifacts to the message-text of the progess bar. Therefore we want to set the text directly from the custom action instead using a separate set-progress-action. Is this possible? We want to avoid a bunch of custom-action/set-progress-message entries in our configuration although we can recap these inside a action group.
Thanks in advance
Call
context.getProgressInterface().setStatusMessage("Your text");
in your code. The progress interface also has methods for changing the percentage, the indeterminate state and the detail message.

I am trying to make a function so that I request a 'manager override' where it presents a screen for a manager to enter their password and press an approve button. How should I do this? Will it have to be in multiple functions? Is there a way that I can call one function and it present the information back? Would a completion work for what I need? I have no ideas where to start for this.
My set up is as follows:
A view controller asks for manager approval, then a screen slides up with text boxes and an approve button. I want the approve button to trigger authenticating and dismissing the screen
Assuming you don't want a Framework target (that sounds like overkill for what you want) simply mark the function as "public" and move it outside of any class. I just tried in a sample project and it works.
It looks important - remember to keep it in a file already in the project. (My sample project didn't work with menu option File|Add|New|File.)
Now, if you really want portability, check out how to create a Framework project.
In the SAPUI5 control explorer in the busy dialog section there is mention of a sap.m.sample.BusyDialogLight.C control. Essentially this is an unframed dialog with the busy indicator 3-blue blobs image over it. I intend to use this whilst long JSON fetches are running.
My version of OpenUI5 which is v1.40.10 does not have a file or folder with that name in the sap.m.* folders. It only has sap.m.BusyDialog.js which I read (dbg version) and see no obvious mention of a light model.
So can anyone tell me if there is actually a BusyDialogLight control and how to define it?
This is just the controller which handles the view. The name used there is the same as in the view's controllerName attribute. And light is in this context just the BusyDialog without text and buttons.
I want to make survey app in which i get question from server problem is that i want to place the controll as question like if i have question like having list then i want dropdown list if question type is yes or no then we can use toggle button like this and other type is to use slider so is there way to dynamically place and create controlls at run time aftaer getting question and then add to view
So how to add controls to view at run time in ipad application so that according to question type we have controls
Yes you can add runtime controls,
Just when you are getting your response from the service after that according to the response create controls programmatically,
OR
If you are aware about the response means only 4 kinds or 5 kinds of response will come than take all controls in .Xib file and use them after getting the server response.
Simply add the control whatever you have needed and hide all other.
This is a simple way, Hope you got my point:)
Im new to GWT, this should be a simple question i hope.
Imagine that i made two Uibinders Modules or two independent widgets.(this a simplify example to expose my problem)
one is a set of buttons (ButtonPanel) and the other image to been show when i press a button from the previous panel(ImagePAnel) with a label to be the title of the image.
How can i reach the wiget the imagePanel to actuate when there are a handler click from the buttons in the (ButtonPanel)
Thanks for the help.
I recommend you to use MVP Pattern for Development and add all events in the Presenter.
Or Else you can use the following technique within the UIBinder's Java File
#UiHandler(value={"openButton"})
public void onOpenButtonClick(ClickEvent clickEvent){
//ADD THE BUTTON LOGIC HERE
}
Just Create an Object of the Images & the ImagePanel to be loaded and add it on button click using this.
I can't say I understand exactly what you are trying to accomplish but in general the best way for different components in a GUI application to communicate is to use the eventbus pattern. There's one global Eventbus object in the application that lets components subscribe to a specified type of event that are fired from any place in your application. This way you avoid spaghetti code and your components are loosely coupled.
http://code.google.com/webtoolkit/articles/mvp-architecture.html#events
I typically create a third component that is the container for the Button and Image components you defined. This component sets itself as a callback for the two and contains logic to integrate the two.
My application is using workflow designer rehosting to let end-users develop workflows. I have an Activity available that requires the user set some state. To accomplish this, in the designer I override Initialize(Activity) and show a form which I then use to set values in my Activity. This is for setting the state when the Activity is initially added. I also have a double click event handler in the designer in case they need to edit that state later.
I now have a situation where, depending on the values in the form, I may need to add or remove a child activity. I've been successful in adding the activity, but not always in getting it to show up in the designer.
When Initialize is called, there are no child activities. I may need to add a child Activity. At this point, it works fine and shows up in the designer. The problem happens when they edit it later by double clicking. In my designer, I override OnActivityChanged to detect this. I make the same call to add a child, however the designer is not getting updated. Oddly enough, when the situation is such that the child is removed, the view updates fine.
Stepping through with the debugger shows that I am adding a child activity to the Activities collection. Normally when I have problems updating the view, I can make a call to IComponentChangeService.OnComponentChanged, but I can't seem to find a way to make this work.
Any suggestions?
It looks like I needed to use RemoveActivities and InsertActivities in the designer. It seems as if the designer doesn't listen to list change events on the Activities list. Does anyone know if this is how it's supposed to work?
Have you tried this in your OnActivityChanged event handler?
TypeDescriptor.Refresh(e.Activity);
For my situation, I determined I needed to use RemoveActivities and InsertActivities.
