Credit card transaction with REST API - paypal

I am implementing PayPal transactions on my website through the REST API and want to enable direct credit card processing. I am currently in Australia where this is not available, however when my website goes live I will be hosting it on a US server and only accepting US dollars for the transactions. Does this mean I will be able to accept credit card payment on my live website?

The PayPal account would need to be a US based account.

Is it possible to collect payments from VISA, Discover, and PayPal into a Mastercard?

I am a college student and I want to launch an online store for dropshipping. I am allowed to have one credit card, where I live, say Mastercard. But for the customers convenience I would like to enable VISA, Discover, Mastercard, American express, Debit card, and PayPal checkout. I know that there is a PayPal credit card that allows payments from all these cards but it requires a business license, which I am not allowed to have as a student. Is there a way I can receive payments from the above mentioned cards to a Mastercard? If there is a better solution to my problem I would like to hear it from you. Thanks!
When you set up an online store, you will also be signing up with a Payment gateway that will be collecting money on your behalf and transferring it to you. In this way, you will be able to set up your store to be able to accept any payment methods supported by the payment gateway(s) that you set up, and any money you make will be transferred from the gateway to the account that you registered with. This might be a credit card or directly to a bank account depending on what the gateway supports.
Using a trusted payment gateway (such as Stripe, Braintree, PayPal, Authorize.net, etc.) will let you focus on your store and not have to worry about accepting credit card information directly, and you will get your earnings transferred to you regularly in a form that you can accept. Note also that taking credit card info directly comes with a host of security concerns and regulations. By using a payment gateway you will never see anyone's credit card info directly, so you won't have to worry about all the security and legal concerns surrounding that. The gateway companies make their money by taking a small transaction fee for each purchase, but this fee is definitely worth it to get your business started.

Can a payout, using PayPal Payouts API, be funded directly from the associated Bank account instead of PayPal account?

I have been building a marketplace application with an iOS app as front-end that drives the business. The app can accept payment either through a paypal account or a credit card. I have integrated Braintree iOS SDK into my app and linked the paypal business account in Braintree controlpanel. The funds processed using PayPal are being routed to the paypal and those processed using cards end up in the bank account linked with Braintree merchant.
Now, the core of the application is to take a certain commission and payout the rest to the sellers involved in transaction. I have taken the seller's PayPal ID at the time of registration to pay them.I have explored the PayPal docs and found that Payouts REST API does exactly what I need provided I maintain the required balance in the merchant account. This is where things came to a standstill. Specifically, I need to get confirmation on the below points
1.As there are two different places(paypal merchant and bank account
linked to braintree) where my funds are parked, Is there any
possibility that the transaction could directly be funded from the
bank account if the same is linked to both merchant accounts?
2.Will PayPal withdraw the entire amount at once or in partial
transactions.
Can anyone who have been in a similar situation suggest how to go about paying out the sellers. I am open to any alternative that satisfies all the requirements of the app.

Taking payment from customer's card and giving to merchant

I am creating a booking site, where the public can make bookings and then pay using their card. I want to take the card details and send them to PayPal via their REST api, and then send the amount to a merchant who will be one of our customer's selling the booked product.
Is this possible to do? PayPal documentation is confusing at best. I currently have the card payments being taken successfully and paid into our own 'developer' account, but what I can't seem to find is how to credit the money to a PayPal account that isn't our own instead.
I have looked into the PayPal Permissions API but again the documentation is unclear, and I don't see where I specify the merchants id or email address when calling RequestPermissions.
What you're looking to do can be accomplished by using PayPal's Adaptive Payments product (https://developer.paypal.com/docs/classic/products/adaptive-payments/). Unfortunately, Adaptive Payments are not currently available with REST APIs. So if you have the option of going with classic APIs, this is currently available to you.

Storing Credit Card information using PayPal Payments Advanced API?

I want to use PayPal Payment Advanced API to store the customer's credit card info on the PayPal's website the first time the customer enters the credit card info. For subsequent customer visits, i want to retrieve the Credit Card info from the PayPal's server. Is this possible? What does the PayPal server return me ( like a transaction id )that I can store in my database for that customer and then use it for subsequent requests.
Thanks
There is no API for Paypal payments advanced. From their tutorials:
PayPal Payments Advanced requires use of PayPal's hosted checkout template...
This means that you have to use their hosted pages (you can probably do so using an iframe if you want). The reason for that is that in order to collect credit-card details you have to be PCI compliant, meaning, you have to pass a series of security checks/tests. This process took my company almost two years and major development (and other) resources, so you probably don't want to go down that path.

PayPal API to pay via credit card

I need to allow users to pay via Credit Card on my site. I'm trying to find suitable API option but can't find it. I have implemented payment via PayPal so far, but now I need to allow users to pay via credit card without account on PayPal.
Anyone knows what specific payment type that is?
Here is one way:
First, you'll need a Website Payments Pro merchant account with PayPal. Then, become familiar with the DoDirectPayment API, which will allow you to
process transactions on your site with PayPal working in the background. Customers will be able to fill out their credit card information, etc., on your site without visiting PayPal directly.
This also means that customers will not be required to have a PayPal account in order to make a transaction on your site.
If you proceed this way, you will need SSL certificates, and are required to implement Express Checkout for customers who do not want to make their transaction on your site.
Sample Code to get your feet wet. Good luck!
