I am using liferay for a project. I tried creating service.xml using an option NEW LIFERAY SERVICE BUILDER. But I got the below error whenever I tried opening the service.xml.

My liferay sdk is 6.2, installed liferay version 6.2 in eclipse and Liferay v6.1 community edition server bundled with Tomcat 7. Please anyone tell me how to resolve this issue. Thanks in advance.
God my silly mistake. I tried opening with XML editor and it opened.

I have followed the current steps to export my product for multiple platforms (namely, following the steps in the preferred way of doing multi-platform builds). However, when I export the product to multiple platforms (for the moment win32.x86 & win32.x86_64) only the x86 version starts correctly. The 64bit version throws the following error:

I assume that it is caused by the x86_64 swt plugin not being loaded, however while org.eclipse.swt.win32.win32.x86 plugin is included in the contents of the product definition, when trying to add the x86_64 plugin into the contents of my product, it doesn't appear on the plugin selection dialog (and of course is not already in the list of plugins).
The only thing remotely related to a x86_64 plugin available is the org.eclipse.equinox.launcher.win32.win32.x86_64, but including this and exporting again (unsurprisingly) returns the same error.
I've checked that the target platform has been updated with the software site from 4.8 files, only a few warnings appear.
How can I force the org.eclipse.swt.win32.win32.x86_64 plugin to appear in the available plugins to be selected in my product? I there any additional step to allow multiple platform export?
when you input "Work With",you can not only "replace 4.8 with your version".you must browse this url,(my version is 4.13)
https://download.eclipse.org/eclipse/downloads/drops4/S-4.13M1-201907111805/
and find "Eclipse p2 Repository",now you find true url to "Work With"
it is very importen that You must find the release notes for it.
like this
https://download.eclipse.org/eclipse/downloads/
Finally made it to work. My target platform was corrupted somehow. Creating a new target platform and following the wiki steps worked this time.
The steps are:
Open Window/Preferences.
Find PDE/Target Platform
Select your (active) target platform
Click Edit
Click Add
Select "Software Site"
Click Next
In "Work With" type: http://download.eclipse.org/eclipse/updates/4.8 (replace 4.8 with your version)
Check "Eclipse RCP Target Components"
Check "Equinox Target Components"
Uncheck "Include required software"
Check "Include all environments"
Press Finish
Press Finish
Press OK
I have a working Tomcat 8 environment under Eclipse 4.9 IDE 2018‑09 and am trying to add a Tomcat 9 server to Eclipse for testing but upon Tomcat startup I am getting the following No Class Found error. Previously a lib tomcat-util.jar was needed but that doesn't seem to exist with Tomcat 9. Any help would be appreciated.

So it looks like I might have had a bad download from a Tomcat mirror. I re-downloaded version 9.0.14 from the tomcat archive and it works fine now. The ConfigurationSource class is in the tomcat-util.jar and the jar was missing from the download.

When I try to access Services, Validate and Administration link on the URL http://localhost:82/SOAPDemo/, where my Axis2 Web Application is deployed, it gives me the following error :
Servlet.init() for servlet AxisServlet threw exception
At the back-end, while apache tomcat 7 is being started in eclipse, it shows me the following warning :
[WARN] Unable to instantiate deployer org.apache.axis2.deployment.ServiceDeployer;
I solved this by adding axis2-jaxws.jar in the classpath.
You can integrate it with maven : http://mvnrepository.com/artifact/org.apache.axis2/axis2-jaxws
I got the same issue when I use axis2 1.7.9, then I tried to follow
"I solved this by adding axis2-jaxws.jar in the classpath. You can integrate it with maven : http://mvnrepository.com/artifact/org.apache.axis2/axis2-jaxws", solution by Pierre-Yves Le Dévéhat
But it didn't work. Then I tried the
"I probably hit the same issue, here is the call stack:" ->
"I fixed it with old axis2 1.6.4 instead of 1.7.1 installation and new project creation", solution by user6140506, edited by TeWu
then the error is fixed.
axis2 1.6.4 is working for me...

Did anyone else expierience something like this yet or is someone able to analyze what is wrong? I would really appreciate your help.
Try to use the clean option :
Edit the eclipse.ini file located in your Eclipse install directory and insert -clean as the first line.
Or edit the shortcut you use to start Eclipse and add -clean as the first argument.
I just updated my Eclipse from Galileo to Juno. I created a new workspace and imported a Java Spring MVC based project. When I open it, it begins 'Loading descriptor' and then an error message pops up: An internal error occurred during: "Loading descriptor for mta_pfm.". If I open it using Galileo, there is no error. I tried to disable the validation of XML file in Juno, but it does not work. I have no idea how to fix it now. Please help. Thanks

Some of your projects file may be incompatible with Juno (Juno in it's first release is not very stable, I recommend downloading the official update patches or even better - moving to Kepler which feels more solid).
Anyway, Eclipse can take some runtime arguments as described here: http://help.eclipse.org/indigo/index.jsp?topic=%2Forg.eclipse.platform.doc.isv%2Freference%2Fmisc%2Fruntime-options.html
Edit your Juno eclipse.exe shortcut and run "'...\eclipse.exe' -clean" to refresh your project files.
Remember to remove the argument once it's fixed as you have no need to clean the project files every time you start eclipse.
Try to start eclipse in clean mode from the command line
eclipse -clean
