How do I get the gstreamer plugins--windows - plugins

I now installed gstreamer 1.0 from gstreamer.freedesktop.org and going through their tutorials.
I am facing a problem though, my gst_element_factory_make() calls are failing and I think it is the
plugin path problem as suggested here : Gstreamer : gst_element_factory_make() : always fail and return NULL : Qt5
But I can't find a plugin
directory in my gstreamer install directory .Can anyone suggest how I can get those plugins so I can set the path? Do I need to download them separately?
(A link would be helpful if any).I am new to gstreamer and multimedia programming in general. I apologize if this is obvious.

I don't know where does the plugins got installed for your system (windows, right?). You can search for the folder that has the plugin libs. Search for libgstplayback.so/.dll or libgstcoreelements.so/.dll and you should find it. It is likely under the folder you selected for installation but I don't know what is the default.
Then just use the GST_PLUGIN_PATH environment variable to point to that and run your application.

How to download a specific version of Lens (k8slens)

I want to install a previous, specific version of k8slens (https://k8slens.dev/) but impossible for me to find this (neither for mac nor windows !) Do I have to download the source code and rebuild it? Even with this there is no "install" section in the makefile !
Why is it so difficult to find a specific version?
Yes, you can easily download the source code for a specific version tag and the compile and use it. The list of tags is here.
Once you get the source code of your desired version you can generate the binary with :
make build
And then simply run that binary to get your required version. Just know that install simply means copying a compiled binary in a known Path of the system so it can be executed. There is nothing special about it.
The question was made some time ago but just in case you haven't reached the answer yet, One thing I did to solve this problem was that i went to the lens repo : https://github.com/lensapp/lens/releases and search through the old release versions seeking for a binary asset (.exe) (the news version provide the source code but not the binary) then i managed to find the binary of the version 4.2.3. ( release in Apr 26, 2021)

Adding Native support to gstreamer tutorial won't finish

I'm following this:

I'm using the Windows x86 ADT bundle, the Windows x86 r9d NDK, and the Gstreamer SDK linked to in the guide.
I was able to get the first tutorial to add native support, build, and run. Then I tried the 3rd tutorial, and Eclipse becomes unresponsive. Same thing happened with the 2nd tutorial. I left it to do it over the weekend in case it just took a long time. When I change anything for another attempt I delete the tutorial folder completely and use a fresh copy from the zip file. I have also remove the ADT bundle completely and started over from scratch.
If I cancel, I have the expected build errors of missing import com.gstreamer.GStreamer;
The GSTREAMER_SDK_ROOT_ANDROID value is set to C:/gstreamer
The NDK Location is C:\android-ndk-r8d
I switched to using r8d as recommended in: Adding Gstreamer support to an android NDK project
One comment also suggests adding to the gstreamer.mk file:

I attempted this but there is a gstreamer_prebuilt.mk file it may be using instead.
My only clue is that Tutorial 1 does not use gstreamer plugins and the tutorials that do not work use plugins.

Edit: I tried using android-ndk-r7c also.
Then I deleted the ADT bundle and tried going the "Use an existing IDE" route, same result.
I'm going to try a different machine, and also see if I can compile it without eclipse, but I would love to hear any guess on what's going on.
Edit2: I watched a youtube video of someone setting this up (as far as I can tell he adds the NDK manually adding a build program and pointing to the ndk-build.cmd file):

This seemed to work but I was still missing import com.gstreamer.GStreamer; so I closed the tutorial 2 project, built and ran tutorial 1, opened tutorial 2 again, cleaned, built, and it ran.
Problem solved.

Getting an error when trying to build the CubicPilot sample from the Unity Google Play plugin

i just watched this video about the Google Play Games plugin for Unity, and readed about how to set it up here.
But i get this error when i try to build the CubicPilot sample:
Error building Player: Win32Exception: ApplicationName='C:\Program Files (x86)\Java\jre7\bin\javac.exe', CommandLine='-bootclasspath "C:/Users/Danny/Desktop/adt-bundle-windows-x86_64-20131030/sdk/platforms/android-19\android.jar" -d
I've followed all the steps to set it up but i was not really sure about the step called:
"Additional instructions on building for Android on Windows" (Im using windows 7)
My computer had no JAVA_HOME enviroment variable, so i tried to create one and set the path to: C:\Program Files (x86)\Java\jre7 (I had no idea what i was doing, but it didn't work)
The instructions said that i had to set it to:
C:\Program Files\Java\jdk1.7.0_45.
However, there were no jdk1.7.0_45, so i just set it to the jre7 which was the only folder.
And i also didn't understand the "Add the Java SDK's bin folder to your PATH environment variable".
I hope someone can help me with the issue.

I never experienced this error on unity before, but i got some issues like that programming for google app engine and android apps.
So, try download the jdk and use it instead of the jre. it has more features for developers, many of my problems (in another environments) were solved when I passed to use the jdk.

phonegap cordova unable to locate blackberry-nativepackager

I am trying to create a blackberry10 project with phonegap cordova command line tool. I am following through the phonegap document (http://cordova.apache.org/docs/en/2.9.0/guide_cli_index.md.html#The%20Cordova%20Command-line%20Interface) but keep running into the same problem.
When I run "cordova platform add blackberry10" in the terminal, it returns [Error: blackberry-nativepackager cannot be found on the path. Aborting]
Does anyone know why and what am I missing? Why is it trying to locate the blackberry-nativepackager, instead of the webwork sdk?
All I want to do its just loading up an external url in bb10. Any better suggestion? Does anyone has any good tutorial/walkthrough on how to create a blackberry10 project?
I'm pretty sure the nativepackager thing is needed to create a package, even with WebWorks. You'll find it in $BBNDK/host_10_x_xx_xxxx/linux/x86/usr/bin/blackberry-nativepackager (adapt to your OS). You'll need to add this folder to your path. Doing this depends on your OS.
The easiest way to do this is to run the bbndk-env script, located in your NDK root directory.
Here's some updated documentation to align with Cordova 3.0. It will cover all the steps needed (including the NDK setup, which seems to be currently missing in your environment).

error while trying to run MapReduce job using eclipse Indigo

I am trying to run MapReduce jobs using hadoop-eclipse plugin with Eclipse Indigo, but I am getting the following error:
Error: failure to login
While looking for some help, I found there is a problem with Hadoop-0.20.203.0, so I tried Hadoop-0.20.205.0 as the issues are fixed in this version.
I am still facing the same problem. Am I missing something or making a mistake?

Extract the "hadoop-eclipse-plugin-0.20.203.0.jar",
Add the 5 files into "hadoop-eclipse-plugin-0.20.203.0\lib" ,
Modify "hadoop-eclipse-plugin-0.20.203.0\META-INF\MANIFEST.MF" (modify the Bundle-ClassPath).
Re 'jar' the package and replace the old "hadoop-eclipse-plugin-0.20.203.0.jar".
The os the page referred is linux, my os is Win7.

Instead of going for adding plugin u can just add the required libraries in eclipse and do your programming.
