Can anybody tell me how i connect to Parse.com in order to use it as a data source for some analytics software i'm using?
As far as i'm aware Parse.com uses MongoDB as its backend. I can chose MongoDB as the data sourse in my analytics software, but it wants a URL in this format:
mongodb://hostname:27017/database
Does anybody know how i can connect to Parse.com using this method? I certainly don't see anything in the Parse.com docs that tell me how to connect in this fashion.

You can't. Parse is not a database you can access directly. They provide you the storage and an API to read/write the data but never direct access to the underlying database.

I have data getting stored in Google firebase (i.e. output of google vision API). I need the same data to get stored in MongoDB which is running on AWS. Is there a connectivity possible between Google cloud and AWS for data migration?
There is no out of the box solution for what you're trying to accomplish. Currently Firestore supports exporting it's data as documented here though the format of the export is probably not something MongoDB could import right away. Even if the format was compatible you would need some kind of data processing pipeline to handle the flow from side to side.
Depending on how you're handling the ingestion of Vision API results you might be able to include code to also send that data to MongoDB. If that's not the case you might need to design a custom solution for this particular use case.
I have a web application that has to be linked with a graph database (Neo4J). Is it possible to read or write data to Neo4J using Appery?
I have chosen Appery because I am a beginner when it comes to databases and Appery seems to be easy in using REST API, as well as there is a free trial.
Feedback would be highly helpful. Thanks in advance.
Edit: I am aware that Neo4J uses Cypher queries. I would like to know if Appery supports Cypher as well.
Side note: The reason I am asking the question here without trying it out is because I dont have an active DB and my application is private due to my company's security policy
You can do that as long as Neo4J database has a REST API. If it does, then you can make calls to it from an Appery app (from Server Code or API Express). Hope this helps.
I use node-red to create an Api from a server. I want to read and send data via http. I use the browser-based programming method. I want to send data from a postgresql database. I installed the package node-red-contrib-postgres-multi. I don´t know how to put data into the database and how to read data from the database, because I cannot find examples.
Does anybody knows, how I can do that?
You can use postgrestor postgrestor package where you can define query or data modification statement directly in node window. It also allows parametrized queries via template engine.
The problem I've encountered is working with more than one db instance in the same flow but if you need only one db instance connection it should work for you.
I have a mobile app that uses Mobilefirst Cloudant sdk to work on top of Bluemix.
One type of the json document in the Cloudant DB needs to have an image as a field. Can you give me some example in Swift as how to store and read it?
I have a Cloudant local datastore on the device, it is synched with the server. So I shouldnot need to worry about the performance?

Assuming you are using CDTDatastore, you should use the attachment's API which is designed to hold binary blobs, such as images, see using attachments in the CDTDatastore documentation. You should also read up about attachments and their possible performance implications in the Cloudant Documentation
I already have a django application and am trying to develop an iPhone app. I'm using mysql as the database for the django app.
Here are some questions I was having :
Is it necessary to use Core Data for anything?
Can I create a rest api to interact with the mysql database?
If so, would there be any advantage, at any place or reason, to use Core Data in addition to mysql. For example, for an app like Pinterest, Tumblr, Facebook, etc. are they using Core Data at all? If so, why and how?
Core Data is one way to give you a local database on the phone. With only MySQL on the server, the app cannot access any data when offline. Even in an online-only app, a local cache of some of the data can be useful to speed things up.
Similar to Django,where it has and database-abstraction API that lets you create, retrieve, update and delete objects, iOS has an CoreData. What under-lies is still SQL. From the django end, you need to create an api that returns the class of objects or something. On the iOS side, you have to call this api and parse the data and save it locally using CoreData.
