I am not able to install the Google plugin for Eclipse Luna 4.4.1 on Mac. I followed all the steps, and got no errors.
Eclipse restarted after installing the plugin, but after that I don't see the Google logo on my toolbar and even in File > New, I don't see any signs of installation.
Android plugins from the same link seems to be working but rest no sign.
Java on my Mac is up to date.
after 6 long hours, it worked out for me. This is what I did
I removed eclipse from my computer. delete those file from library folder. Delete workstation. https://stackoverflow.com/a/1998797/3861959
Updated Java, Downloaded and installed latest version of JDK (its different from java, one thing I didn't know).

I am tried to install IBM Bluemix eclipse plugin for Eclipse Mars from Eclipse Market place. Eclipse listing all required libraries and dependencies but installation its showing following error as shown in image.
Note:
I was able to download install other eclipse plugins like PyDev,Subclipse etc.
Any suggestions or links? Thank you :)
Which version of Eclipse are you using? I just tried with the JEE Package for Mars SR1: https://www.eclipse.org/downloads/packages/eclipse-ide-java-ee-developers/mars1. Then, search for the Eclipse marketplace entry from Eclipse and do the install.
and I can complete the install successfully. It may just be a temporary outage on the server. Would you mind to try it again?
If the problem still exist, can you list out the details of your setup, e.g. Eclipse package that you start with, platform, steps to reproduce, etc. so I can try to reproduce the problem.
I have downloaded Eclipse Kepler and now trying to instal Android ADT. I am facing the below issue.
Cannot complete the install because one or more required items could not be found.
Software being installed: Android Development Tools 22.6.3.v201404151837-1123206 (com.android.ide.eclipse.adt.feature.group 22.6.3.v201404151837-1123206)
Missing requirement: Android Development Tools 22.6.3.v201404151837-1123206 (com.android.ide.eclipse.adt.feature.group 22.6.3.v201404151837-1123206) requires 'org.eclipse.wst.sse.core 0.0.0' but it could not be found
Initially I tried to install using https://dl-ssl.google.com/android/eclipse/ . I got the error.
Later I downloaded the package and installed from local but getting the above error.
Any suggestions ?
I tried running the eclipse in administrator mode but still getting the same error.
ADT Plugin can't install: Missing requirement: Android Development Tools
Any help is appreciated. Note: In my system, Android SDK is working fine in my Eclipse Indigo working perfectly in my system.
ADT might depend on other plugins, such as Eclipse Web Tools. You need to make sure you checked Contact all update sites during install to find required software. Eclipse will then look up dependencies in other update sites, like the default Kepler one.
I have solved the problem by unzipping the eclipse again from the original zipped file. Right now everything works fine.
But thanks lulian Dragos.
I am using eclipse 3.8.1 right now on Xubuntu and there were no problems until now. But 2 days ago some friends and me started a project together, they are using Windows 7 and Windows 8 (x64). When I installed eclipse in Xubuntu, it didnt have any plugins and features installed but I couldnt find any eclipse version for windows that has no plugins pre-installed.
Does anyone know how to do that?
Thanks a lot for every idea! :)
I know I'm three years late but: you can download it from here: http://download.eclipse.org/eclipse/downloads/index.html. There you can find 'clean' builds of Eclipse, which do not ship with common development tools.
If you do an apt-get install eclipse, it gets installed in a read-only directory; each user that runs Eclipse gets their own directory with the plugins he/she installs afterwards from within Eclipse.
On both Windows and Linux, you can just download a zip file of Eclipse, unzip it somewhere, and then run it directly. This is also the way to run different versions of Eclipse, and there is just one place for each version to store plugins: within its own directory.
I am trying to install google gwt tool on eclipse for that i go to HELP--->Install new Software---> in text area i used this link
Google Update Site for Eclipse 4.2 - http://dl.google.com/eclipse/plugin/4.2
then whenever i checked Google Plugin for eclipse (required) and hit next it shows
Cannot complete the install because one or more required items could not be found.

i didn't understand what and where is the problem coming .
I was having the same problem just now trying to download Google Plugin for Eclipse. I was running into the same error where it was complaining about:
"Cannot complete install because one or more required items could not be found.
Software being installed: Google Plugin for Eclipse 3.7 bla bla bla..."
This question is a duplicate (Installing GWT plugin with Eclipse) but Ill lay it out for you anyways :)
I followed these steps that I found on https://developers.google.com/eclipse/docs/install-eclipse-4.2 and it worked fine :) The only thing different is that I downloaded from http://dl.google.com/eclipse/plugin/4.2 INSTEAD of from (as when was throwing an error) http://dl.google.com/eclipse/plugin.3.7. When I used 3.7 I got the same error you are having now. 4.2 it's all gravy.
Also, I am doing this on a fresh Juno installation. Like, I literally downloaded it from the Eclipse site right 2 minutes ago, installed it, ran an update (there was one update for Eclipse Google Plugin) and then I i got the errors and fixed the issue.
In fact, I got my answers here: Installing GWT plugin with Eclipse so thank this dude. Not me.
Good Luck!
Your installation is missing the org.objectweb.asm bundle. I'm a little surprised that this is not installed by the google plugin by default. There are many places to get it, but I know you can get the bundle from orbit:
http://download.eclipse.org/tools/orbit/downloads/drops/R20130517111416/repository/
Copy the link and add it to your list of update sites. Then try to install the google plugin again. Make sure that you have "Contact all update sites" checked.
Might be you have Indigo Eclipse and trying for Juno Eclipse plugin.
Refer to link https://developers.google.com/appengine/docs/java/tools/eclipse
Look at plugin links for Indigo and Juno and act accrodingly.
If the plugin installation failed, you may have problems with the Eclipse version installed that might be outdated (my problem).

Attempting to install Mercurial on Eclipse Java EE IDE Juno from

I tried on Windows 7_64 and ubuntu 12.04_64. I even installed mylyn using the latest stable releases from http://download.eclipse.org/mylyn/releases/latest
Any Ideas?
Already browsed web and this site.
You could also try the update URL from the Google Code repository instead, which installs only MercurialEclipse.
+1 to installing from Google Code Repository.
Initially Eclipse wouldn't start because of problems with the older version of the plugin so to get past this simply removed the jar com.vectrace.MercurialEclipse_1.9.1.v201111302231.jar from the Eclipse plugins directory then uninstalled the existing plugin and re-installed from the link in smooth reggae's post.
All seems good so far.
The problem is, that the codeBeamer Eclipse Studio requires an older version of Mylyn (3.3.0), which isn't available for Juno.
But AFAIK you don't need the whole CBES, if you only need the Mercurial features. Try to select only MercurialEclipse, it should also be available in that update site.
