Presta Shop issue with paying my Paypal - paypal

This week we now have an issue with our prestaship website. When we go to check out, it will not transfer us across to paypal at the appropriate time. We receive the following message:
Error occurred:
Please try to contact the merchant:
<b>PayPal response:</b>
->
Please help since Paypal is our only method of payment so this is a big issue for us.

Yes, it is because of the Bug in SSL 3.0. Older prestashop modules are affected, the tricky part is, that the paypal module does not show any update in the backend.
You have to download the newest module version on the addons from paypal.

The SSL 3.0 support was initially planned for december the 3rd, but I believe it was delayed until 12.1.

PayPal IPN and PDT suddenly does not work anymore

Since this week the forwarding to our site after payment does not work anymore in production mode, while it still works within the sandbox.
Actually we use PDT for the direct forwarding and IPN as backup. For some reason the payment is not finished fully. There seems no PDT or IPN connection to be established from PayPal since beginning of this week.
A payment from March 9th was successful, but all payments since March 11th are marked as successful on the PayPal page, but our site "does not know it", so customers don't get their accounts updated.
When trying to track the bug, I switched to the sandbox, but there everything works fine there.
Has PayPal changed something recently? (The design during payment process ist now, but I don't know since when...)
Thanks!
The biggest downfall with PDT is the message is only sent once, where as IPN is repeatedly sent until the server responds with the correct message. You can run both, but from my experience it is very uncommon (and I build eCommerce systems for a living). Recently a lot of my company's clients who run PayPal as their payment method have come to us with a similar problem (even more so with RBS WorldPay). And the solution has been to try the following:
Confirm that the IPN listener URL is still working and pointing to
the right site (some people try to use one PayPal account for
multiple sites, and change it to the 2nd site not thinking it will
stop IPN for the 1st site).
Make sure the latest version of the PayPal gateway is installed (if
on OpenCart / WooCommerce / Magento / etc...). The latest version
requires SHA-256.
Ensure the server has SHA-256 enabled, as above PayPal is now asking
users to make sure they have it for the hashing to work.
Ensure that an SSL certificate is installed. It is not yet a certain requirement, but in this day and age if you don't have one, you are not likely to get many orders. Also for some strange reason it has fixed IPN for some clients.
Hope this helps!

Magento 1.9.2 Paypal settings don't stick

We are having problem with adding Paypal worldwide standard to our Magento store. When we enter our credentials and press safe configuration the settings are in the greenbar Saved. But they are removed and nothing is saved in Magento. There are no errors on screen or in the logs when this happens. The site has been upgraded from 1.7 to 1.9 a few months ago we didn’t use Paypal at that moment. We have tried changing our currency and tax settings already has anyone seen or heard from these issues and potentially has a fix or workaround for the base magento paypal setup?
It seems like your database upgradation is not properly done.
Check your PayPal details in core_config_data table.

PayPal IPN not working in sandbox

I'm brand new to setting up IPN's. I've built websites, but never a subscription site like the one I'm building now. I'd like to set up a recurring monthly subscription option and a recurring yearly subscription option.
My website is built on Joomla 3 and I'm using a plugin for the subscription module. I set up the PayPal subscription buttons just as explained in the directions, which I followed to the letter. Nevertheless, when I go to test it in the PayPal sandbox, I keep getting the same error, which says that it wasn't sent and the handshake wasn't made, and to check my settings. That's all it says. I don't know if the issue is with my site, my server or the settings I'm entering into the actual sandbox. I checked with my server and they said there's nothing wrong on their end. Do I need an SSL for the integration to work?
Please keep in mind that, while I can follow explicit directions, I'm so new at this that I don't even know how to access my 'listener,' so if you respond, please let me know where to find things, if necessary.
Any help would be very greatly appreciated - I've been at this for 12 hours now and I'm at a complete loss.
This issue has two sides
1. Is Paypal IPN enabled on the sandbox account where you are trying to receive the payments
2. You would need a IPN listener script to get the IPN notifications
This process is the same for Sandbox or live mode

Paypal Mobile SDK cannot proceed payment, received unknown error

I wonder if anyone can help me with this problem. I receive this error from my iOS SDK, for 2 attempted requests:
2015-01-22 16:14:32.238 Page Advisor Consumer[6442:607] PayPal SDK: Request has failed with error: UNKNOWN_ERROR - System error (UNKNOWN_ERROR). Please try again later. (400) | PayPal Debug-ID: be3d18e185478 [live, PayPal iOS SDK 2.8.2]
2015-01-22 16:15:06.557 Page Advisor Consumer[6442:607] PayPal SDK: Request has failed with error: UNKNOWN_ERROR - System error (UNKNOWN_ERROR). Please try again later. (400) | PayPal Debug-ID: 52795d8d95006 [live, PayPal iOS SDK 2.8.2]
I wonder what cause this error. Because when I use direct payment REST API there seems to be no problem at all. I already use US Account. Please tell me if i need to provide anymore details. Thank you guys!
UPDATE::!!
I have done further testing, turns out that Mobile SDK somehow cannot create transaction in SGD if connected to a US account, while REST API allows it. Turns out the SDK needs Singapore Account in order to proceed.
The problem is Singapore Account cannot use the newest SDK. Any solution for this? I really desperately need the newest SDK to work with SGD, because the current REST API allows it.
Thanks
I looked up the debug IDs you provided (both Live and Sandbox) and they were all failing for the same reason: unsupported currency for direct credit card transactions.
SGD is not a supported currency for Direct Credit cards with the REST APIs. A list of supported direct credit card currencies can be found here. SGD is a supported currency for PayPal payments with the REST APIs. Since the mSDK sits on top of the REST APIs, the supported currency list for REST and mSDK are one and the same.
As for the error message itself, I will put in a request with the appropriate folks to see if we can display something a bit more informative.

do direct payment api: no response from paypal sandbox

I'm using the codeigniter library from angelleye's library (http://www.angelleye.com/download-codeigniter-php-library-for-paypal-payments-pro/).
For a few days, it worked smoothly without any errors. Today when I tested it I got no response from paypal.
I contacted the author(Andrew), and he said that the paypal sandbox server is timing out with the do direct payment.
My question is, how do I fix this?
The PayPal sandbox does that at times, and unfortunately there's nothing we can do about it but wait on PayPal to get things working smoothly.
The sandbox has been running great for awhile now, but it seems that with many of the recent changes they're making (they're working on a new sandbox, and they're pushing PayFlow more than DirectPayment now) the DirectPayment API on the sandbox has been suffering.
In fact, just now I was about to respond and let you know that last time I tried it was working fine. I went to test it and sure enough, it timed out again. I tried again, though, and it worked fine. So unfortunately, the sandbox is just pretty hit and miss these days with DirectPayment.
You could always switch to PayFlow, which is what they're pushing these days, and my library supports it now if you have the latest version.
