netlogo How to count total number of turtles within some distance - netlogo

I am trying to control the moving speed of turtles base on the population of its area. My problem is that how to count total number of turtles that have a distance smaller than 3 with current turtle, and store this number into a new variable?

Have a look at the in-radius primitive in the NetLogo dictionary. Most likely you will want a command similar to ask turtles [ set varname count turtles in-radius 3 ]

NetLogo: use value of 'stock' in SDM as input for ABM

I made two simple models; one System Dynamics Model and one Agent Based Model in NetLogo. The SDM has a stock 'tourists' and its value depends on the in- and outflow. The value is re-calculated each tick. The tourists are sprouted in the ABM each tick. Now, I would like to use the value of the touristsStock as an input for the turtles that are sprouted each tick in the Agent Based Model. What is the best way to do this? I have already checked the example codes in the Model Library (Like the Tabonuco Yagrumo model) but it doesn't make any sense to me. What is the best way to integrate these models with each other? NetLogo: calculate distance to other turtles and make them dissatisfied if another turtle is too close

I sprouted my turtles over the patches and in the 'go' I want each turtle to calculate if another turtle is too close (based on a certain threshold of X meters/patches). If another turtle is too close, i want the turtle to become 'dissatisfied'.
Movements of the turtles are not required.
What is the best way to do this? The only piece of code for the go procedure I have so far is as follows:

Your code is creating more turtles and doesn't have anything about checking distances so it is not clear how it is related to the problem you are trying to solve. However, the following code measure the distance to the nearest turtle and prints a message if that is less than 5.
ask turtles
[ let nearest min-one-of turtles [distance myself]
if distance nearest < 5 [ show "I feel crowded" ]

Making links based on turtles-own variable

In this example I am trying to make two directed-link-breed links based on turtles-own Value. The condition is as follows ask turtles to link to other turtles who have a smaller Value than me.

That message is telling you that (for the particular lettuce), there were only two that satisfied the criteria, but you wanted to link with 3 of them. Looking at your question, you want turtles to send links to turtles with lower values of a specific variable. What do you want the turtle with the lowest value of that variable to do? Clearly it can't link to lower valued turtles because there aren't any.
I'm also not clear why you are using min-n-of. Do you want to link to the lowest valued turtles (in which case every turtle will send links to the same few turtles) or do you want to link to randomly selected turtles with lower values (in which case turtles with higher values will have more choices)?
There are a couple of ways you can handle this once you have the logic sorted out. If you definitely want the lowest value, then use min-n-of first to find the candidates, then link to any with a lower value than the asking turtle. If you want to randomly select from a potentially larger group, use up-to-n-of instead of n-of. Or you could count the number found before trying to link to make sure there's enough.

Distance from origin (start-patch) to center of in-radius cluster of turtles in Netlogo

I have determined the maximum number of turtles within clusters of turtles dispersed across a world in Netlogo such that the largest number of turtles (within said radius) derived for all turtles is the result (assigned to a variable).

However, I am now trying to get the distance from the origin (start-patch) of the world to this largest cluster of turtles or neighbors and failing at it. Ideally, if I can write code find the distance from the origin of the world to the turtle or patch at the center of the maximum-sized turtle-cluster yielded by the in-radius function, it would be best. But, my attempts so fair have failed. Kindly help with the following line of code (or some other preferred way) to achieve this.

I am not sure where I am going wrong in the ensuing line of code above.
First of all, the code count neighbors in-radius 50 is incorrect. neighbors will report the 8 patches surrounding the turtle. Since all 8 of these patches are within 50 of the turtle, this code will always report 8. Instead, you want count turtles in-radius 50. It's worth noting though that this code will likely be quite slow. You might try count turtles with [ distance myself < 50 ] instead. It does essentially the same thing, but should be faster when using such a large radius.
Next, instead of calculating just the peak density, let's get the turtle at the center of that cluster:
let peak-density-turtle max-one-of turtles [ count turtles with [ distance myself < 50 ] ]
let corr-peak-density [ count turtles with [ distance myself < 50 ] ] of peak-density-turtle
Then, getting the distance from this turtle to the starting patch is simple:

Assign a cost to a link

I have a landscape where each patch contains a cost value.
I placed a turtle within each patch according to the following code :

Then, I built a link between each turtle according to the following code :

As each patch contains a cost value, I would like to assign a cost value to links between turtles.
For example,
If the link intersects two patches (patches 1 and 2) that have two different costs, the link would be equal to cost in patch 1 + cost in patch 2.
If the link intersects two patches (patches 1 and 2) that have the same cost, the link would be equal to cost in patch 1.
How can I assign a cost value to links between turtles in this way ?
After this, I would like to apply the dijkstra' s algorithm.

Assuming that:
your patches have a cost variable
your links have a link-cost variable
turtles are always connected to turtles on neighboring patches (like in the code you posted)
You can simply :
ask links [ set link-cost sum [ cost ] of both-ends ]
This will just add the costs of the two patches under the turtles at both ends of the link. (If you had links traversing more than two patches, this approach would not work and things would get much more complicated.)
For calculating distances afterwards, I'd suggest you take a look at the NW extension. Its weighted-distance-to primitive uses Dijktra's algorithm internally.
