Could not connect to SQL Server 2008 R2 Express - sql-server-2008-r2

I am using Microsoft SQL Server 2008 R2 Express, suddenly I got a error while I am trying to connect:
TITLE: Connect to Server
Cannot connect to DEBANJAN\SQLEXPRESS.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:
A network-related or instance-specific error occurred while establishing a connection to SQL Server. The server was not found or was not accessible. Verify that the instance name is correct and that SQL Server is configured to allow remote connections. (provider: SQL Network Interfaces, error: 26 - Error Locating Server/Instance Specified) (Microsoft SQL Server, Error: -1)
Please help me soon.

There are many points to check to allow remote connection to SQL Server :
Open firewall TCP ports in inbound rules (135, 1433, 1434)
Check that SQL Server use the 1433 port : http://support.webecs.com/kb/a868/how-do-i-configure-sql-server-express-to-allow-remote-tcp-ip-connections-on-port-1433.aspx
Allow TCPIP protocols in SQL Server Configuration Manager (32 & 64 bits)
Enable SQL Browser in SQL Server Configuration Manager
This worked fine for me with Windows Server 2012 R2 & SQL Server 2008 R2 Express SP3.

Unable to connect to SQL Server using ipaddress or localhost and portno 1433

I have installed Microsoft SQL Server 2019, I am able to connect using hostname and Windows authentication from SSMS, but when it try to connect to it using localhost or the IP address and port 1433 from SSMS or DBeaver, it doesn't connect.
I have verified the service status, port no, server logs, all looks good but still unable to connect. Can somebody please help?
The issue is resolved after enabling server authentication.steps :-
1. In SSMS right click on conection
2. Go to properties-> security
3. Change authentication mode to windows and SQL server from windows authentication.
After making this change , I am able to connect to the sever using ipaddress.

Windows could not start the SQL Server service (SQLEXPRESS) service on local computer

I have installed SQL Server 2008 R2 on Windows 10 (64-bit). My server name is SRIDHARAN-PC and I gave it correctly and I got an error like:
A network related or instance-specific error occured while establishing a connection to SQL server.
And when I go for services.msc and start the SQL Server service, I get an error like
Windows could not start the SQL Server service (SQLEXPRESS) service on local computer
The system cannot find the file specified.

connecting to sql remotely with named instance

I have just install mssql 2008 r2. I am unable to connect to the server remotely.
I have followed the details on this post in regards to openning the firewall and allowing remote connections. Actually for testing purposes i've disabled the firewall.
I'm getting error 26. Which refers to be unable to find the instance name.
I've tried difference variations of the following my local mssql 2008
Servername: remoteIp\instanceName
Login: myUser
Password: myPassword
If my servername correct

Problems connecting to proper server instance

On my machine there are two instances of SQL Server
SQLEXPRESS
MSSQLSERVER
I'm trying to connect to the MSSQLSERVER, but I keep getting
{"A network-related or instance-specific error occurred while establishing a connection to SQL Server. The server was not found or was not accessible. Verify that the instance name is correct and that SQL Server is configured to allow remote connections. (provider: SQL Network Interfaces, error: 25 - Connection string is not valid)"}
Here's the connection string:
connectionString="data source=.\MSSQLSERVER;Integrated Security=SSPI;initial catalog=OdeToFoodDB"
providerName="System.Data.SqlClient"
I'm trying to get the server visible to remote connections, but it doesn't work.
doing sqlcmd -L gets me:
Servers:
(local)
MACHINE1
MACHINE1\SQLEXPRESS
which seems strange given the fact that I disabled the SQLEXPRESS service, and only left the MSSQLSERVER running.
In Configuration Manager, in Network Configuration->Protocols for MSSQLSERVER I enabled the TCP/IP and Named Pipes, and in IP Addresses the setup is as follows:
but the server is still not available for remote access (netstat -nb shows no processes listening to 1433). My windows firewall is off.
Any ideas?
If your MSSQLSERVER is the standard instance it will take the name of the machine. So you should try:
connectionString="data source=MACHINE1;Integrated Security=SSPI;initial catalog=OdeToFoodDB"
providerName="System.Data.SqlClient"

T-SQL Debugging Logon Failure

Server Info:
Windows Server 2008, SQL Server Standard 2008 (64-bit)
I recently upgraded to SQL 2008 and was interested in trying out T-SQL Debugging. Initally encountered some firewall issues, but after disabling my workstation's Windows Firewall and having TCP port 135 and UDP 4500/500 opened up by the IT group I got a little further.
Now I get the error message:
Unable to start T-SQL Debugging. Could not connect to computer 'servername'. Logon failure: unknown user name or bad password.
My workstation and server are on different domains and I use Windows authentication to connect to the machine. My account is sysadmin and connects to the server fine in SSMS. The SQL Server service is running as a different service-level account.
Thoughts?
I have seen the same error message. My configuration, however, is different. I am connected from Management Studio 2008 with an SQL user to a SQL Server 2008 instance.
I user a sniffer (Wireshark) to monitor IP traffic en saw the following:
DCERPC Bind: call_id: 5 IRemUnknown2 V0.0, NTLMSSP_NEGOTIATE
DCERPC Bind_ack: call_id: 5, NTLMSSP_CHALLENGE accept max_xmit:

DCERPC AUTH3: call_id: 5, NTLMSSP_AUTH, User:

DCERPC Fault: call_id: 5 ctx_id: 0 status: nca_s_fault_access_denied
Note: my actual domain and user have been replaced by and , respectively.
Maybe, this can help you to get more detailled information.
At this point, I am stuck. I tried to give this domain user access to the server, but do not have permission to do so. Also, I am not sure if this is needed, because I connect using an SQL user.
