I am new with App development using Intel XDK. I need to incorporate material UI in my app which is developed using Intel XDK. Please give me a solution with examples.. Thanks in advance
This can be accomplished by using any material design UI, a popular one being:
Materialize
Intel XDK takes web applications made with CSS/JS/HTML and wraps them as "native applications" so they can be distributed as phone apps. Intel XDK comes packaged with some example projects that help show this process. I recommend checking out their ionic framework example to start.

KaiOS is "a web-based mobile operating system that is based on Linux kernel forked from B2G (Boot to Gecko), an open source community-driven successor of Firefox OS which was discontinued by Mozilla in 2016. (As written on its Wikipedia Article)
I wanted to use Unity Game Engine to make a game for it but I have not seen KaiOS as one of the available platforms to build for.
Is it possible that one of the platforms that Unity builds for (such as HTML5) can be made somehow compatible for KaiOS? Are there any other available tools I can use? Or will I have to work on the raw game from scratch?
The answer is no:
https://docs.unity3d.com/Manual/UnityCloudBuildSupportedPlatforms.html
Sorry to be a let down. It does support iOS though.
EDIT
If you put a little more work into it using HTML5, then yes.
Graphs and Maps are well done through Intel XDK tools.
Is there a 'nice' hierarchical table (like in wijmo 5) tool to handle a hierarchical 'down edge' with drill up and down?
You can use libraries like Wijmo and jQuery UI with the XDK. You may not be able to use them with App Designer, but you can create your HTML/CSS layout using other tools or by hand. You are not required to use App Designer to build a Cordova app with the XDK.
I have a requirement from client to develop an iPhone application. As I am a dot net developer I thought it will be bit challenging for me. So I thought of developing it using phone gap. So before suggesting something to the client I need to make sure of certain points.
Do I really need a mac machine to develop this?
Since I am using only html5, css and js, can I develop it in Visual studio/Eclipse? I have already tried some samples in both these IDE. And once the app is ready I have read about using PhoneGap Build I can make it ready to use in iPhone...
But from the following link, what I understood is I need an apple computer, mac os and Xocde to develop it even though it is not a native mobile app.

Please guide me with some insights before talking to the client.
Thanks.
PhoneGap Build is a cloud-based service built on top of the PhoneGap
framework. It allows you to easily build those same mobile apps in the
cloud. To get your application build just what you need is to simply
upload your web assets - a ZIP file of HTML, CSS and JavaScript, to
PhoneGap Build, after some time you’ll receive the download URLs for
all mobile platforms.
I read it from here , they also mentioned about installing SDKs
you might want to install some of the SDK emulators if you don’t own a
particular device that you want to test a build for.
Here in this link they have put a note
Since PhoneGap Build uses Apple's standard development process to
build applications, you will need to sign up for their developer
program to build iOS applications on PhoneGap Build. You will also
need a Mac to configure your certificate and provisioning profile.
Consider using a Mac Virtual machine.
You mainly need a mac to create key value chain pairs to sign your app and test it on a device. You can just get a Mac VM to do this is my recommendation. You can then use the phonegap build service to compile your www folder for iOS
Here is a good demo for multiple index files to have one solution base

I think you should do a bit more research before jumping into bed with PhoneGap for the sake of not being an Objective-C developer. PhoneGap has its limitations, and my experience of it compared with native app development is pretty poor.
Is it possible to convert iphone application which is build using Xcode to Windows Phone 7 application which is build using C#.?
Or is there any tool to convert.?
Can we build an application in HTML5 and deploy it on windows Phone 7.?
Thanks in advance for your help.
Best Regards,
Krishna
As others have mentioned, there are cross platform development tools available, including tools from http://phonegap.com/, http://www.madewithmarmalade.com/ and http://www.xamarin.com. These are great solutions if you want to start on a greenfield project, or if you are embarking on a major new version across all platforms.
If you want/need to port an existing Objective-C app, however, then I don't believe there are any tools available for you. One thing that may helps is that Microsoft have produced some useful "how do I port" guides for iOS, for Android and for Qt - see:
http://wp7mapping.interoperabilitybridges.com/Library?source=iPhone
http://windowsphone.interoperabilitybridges.com/media/1254/wp7%20dev%20guide%20for%20iphone%20app%20developers.pdf
It is not Possible to Convert the iphone sdk application which is written in objective c to C#.
But using Monotouch http://xamarin.com/monotouch ,you can write code in C# which will be compatible for iPhone and can use it for other platForms also.
use PhoneGap library to build your App/Product
ship it with multiple environment
it is javascript library
PhoneGap
I am new to J2ME and what I have now is Netbeans 6.7.1 IDE. Is there any basic guide for developing Mobile applications in Netbeans 6.7.1? Please provide me the links.
Netbeans.org itself has great tutorials for mobile development in Netbeans. And that is what you need:
http://netbeans.org/kb/trails/mobility.html
For examples this is a very good Quick Start for Netbeans J2ME development:
http://netbeans.org/kb/docs/javame/quickstart.html
I think this book best source for J2ME with Netbeans:
Kicking Butt with MIDP and MSA: Creating Great Mobile Applications (The Java Series)
Book Description:
The release of MIDP 2.0 and the introduction of the new Mobile Service Architecture (MSA) are generating momentum for the Java ME platform. As more and more Java-enabled mobile devices become available and more service providers become open to third-party development, the demand for customized applications will grow dramatically. Now, there's a practical, realistic guide to building MIDP 2.0/MSA applications that are robust, responsive, maintainable, and fun.
Long-time Java ME author Jonathan Knudsen offers real solutions for the complex challenges of coding efficiency, application design, and usability in constrained mobile environments. Experienced Java developers will master MIDP 2.0 and MSA programming through clear, carefully designed examples. Downloadable code is available for both NetBeans Mobility Pack and the Sun Java Wireless Toolkit. Kicking Butt with MIDP and MSA's wide-ranging content covers:
Pushing MIDP's limits, and exploiting MSA's full power
Using MIDlets, Forms, commands, core classes, and invocation
Building effective mobile user interfaces
Designing graphics with the Canvas, the Game API, SVG, and 3D
Providing storage and resources: record stores, FileConnection, and PDA PIM
Internationalizing mobile applications
Networking via WMA, Bluetooth, Web services, and SIP
Parsing XML documents
Implementing audio and advanced multimedia
Securing mobile applications with SATSA and the Payment API
Building advanced location-based applications
Designing applications for multiple devices
Creating end-to-end mobile application architectures
Tell what platform you are developing on so that the tools available for you can be given.
Also, you most definitely want an emulator so that can test your applications directly on your computer (Saves time).
Honestly, can't give much more advice than to know java well and to use google + stackoverflow. Those are what I did and ended up developing a commercial app in j2me just fine.
