Does Ionic Community version support Live update aka 'New version available' notifications?
On their side by side comparison page, Community version doesn't support Live Updates.

Ionic Community is a paid version including support for many things as deploy, publish and so on... It facilitates a lot, there are a service also that you can do a Live Update on your app without the users need go to the Stores. And, you can do this approach by yourself. Just take a look on this tutorial: Using Direct Update in Cordova and Ionic applications. If needed, you can adapt this tutorial related to the Ionic version you are using. You can add push Notification anytime you want.
Marketing specialists keep instructing my client to setup the analytics so that it can track where the user is being referred from so that we can optimize the advertising campaigns.
When I ask them how to setup the tracking correctly they send me to a link for the native Android & iOS google analytics libraries and provide the settings. I respond in kind stating that our app is not built using the native SDK's it is built using the Ionic Framework. They then have no response for this.
I have Google Analytics implemented as well as Facebook analytics. Both systems are actively tracking data. But apparently it is still not tracking the source of which advertising campaign the user originated from and / or installed the app from.
I've tried to find an example of this somewhere and talked to numerous people but from what I can tell it is not possible using the Ionic Framework.
Can anyone provide some insight into this? If this is not possible it seems like a rather large issue with the Ionic Platform that should be made more visible.

I am trying to build a chatbot that answers FAQ from customers at the company I worked for. I have played around with Dialogflow and ManyChat, but I am not really satisfied with these platforms so far. Do you have any recommendations for platforms that can be used to build a chatbot on that answers questions from customers?
I am looking for a platform that provides easy semantic interpretation and implementation to a website and Facebook Messenger, perferably with multi language support.
Does anyone with experience have any ideas?
I advise you to choose .net framework because it has large number of libraries and easy to use. And i advise you to create web service or web Api Choose C# for code in .net framework so you will be able to use your bot service any where you want. It has a lot of help on internet and many nuget packages.
If you choose this framework you will be able to integrate your bot in websites, Mobile and infact anywhere you want .

I do not understand what are the difference between ionic.io and ionic framework ? Is it the same thing? So why is there two distinct websites and 2 names for the same product?
Ionic framework is the framework for building hybrid mobile apps. It is, and always will be - free.
Ionic.io is the site for Ionic Platform, which adds additional services like Deploy, Build, Push notifications, User management, etc. It is currently in beta and it's thus free, but as they go live (soon, as far as I know) they will have pricing (there will be a free plan however).
Basically, you do not need Ionic Platform, but it's really awesome and worth the money (in case you fall out of the free tier) if you'll ask any Ionic developer.

Ionic framework is an SDK
Ionic.io is a platform and tooling
In other words, Ionic (framework) is a way to create mobile SPA hybrid apps based on Cordova, that let you leverage native phone features and also AngularJS's MVC-based approach to app development. This is free.
Ionic.io, however, is a bunch of web services and tools that add value to your Ionic apps, letting you store stuff server-side, send push notifications, etc. These may eventually cost money.
The 2 websites deal with Ionic, but :
Ionic.io is the main platform tool website where you can find all information about ionic "world" (Ionic Framework, Ionic platforms, Ionic icons, Ionic app creator, Forum...). It is the Tool Ionic showcase
Ionic framework is useful for developers to know how to install and develop ionic apps.

I never used this kind of framework before and i am interested by trying ionic !
We can build html5/AngularJS apps with this framework, but is it only to generate native code for mobile apps or can we also use our code for the web app (should we maintain 2 different code ?) ?

Ionic is focused on building native/hybrid mobile apps rather than
mobile websites.
While you can get support from webkit, there isn't much support for other desktop browsers because, well it's just not what we want to focus on :)
It is browser competible, however not officially supported.
