I'm developing a website on a server using NetBean's HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript and PHP support. I am trying to set up the remote connection so I don't have to use something like Filezilla every time to transfer my files to the server. However, NetBeans is unable to connect to my server over SFTP.
I'm unable to share screenshots with the actual information because this is for work and must be kept confidential.
Host Name is in the form: subdomain.domain.com
Username is just the plain username, it's NOT in the form username#subdomain.domain.com.
I am using a password, not a key.
I am behind my work's proxy but I don't think that could be the cause because NetBeans connecting to my server is the only thing that isn't working.
Filezilla works, Putty (SSH) works, Aptana remote connections (SFTP) works, all my browsers work. Even testing the proxy settings in the NetBeans general options works in NetBeans:

After entering in all of the server's information, I click "Test Connection". After 30 seconds (the timeout), this error pops up:
I tried looking in the NetBeans log to gather more information but it doesn't appear to be logging this error. Is there a certain debug flag I need to enable?
Like I said earlier, Filezilla and Aptana Studio can both connect to my server using the same login credentials.
Any suggestions?

It turns out my system proxy settings (which were configured for my work's proxy) were preventing me from connecting to a server on my work's local intranet.
I had to add a proxy exception for the server and everything worked after that.

I did a fresh installation of curity 7.1.0 on a Linux VM. it installed without any issue and started fine. However I am not able to connect it using admin console.

A RESET_ERROR often indicates a problem with the infrastructure in my experience.
You can try the following
Clear the cache of your browser
Test with a different browser
Check network settings, i.e. firewall, VPN, proxies, port openings...
I'm having trouble trying to side-load an add-in in MS Word, getting the error
'ADD-IN ERROR: A problem occured while trying to reach this add-in.' The add-in needs to be hosted on a local docker environment to be integrated in the rest of a web aplication.
Setup
The add-in files are hosted on a local docker machine, accessible through both an ip-address and a https://dev.local address. The add-in is reachable through Internet Explorer and Edge Chromium without any certificate errors. It doesn't matter whether I try to reach the IP address of the locally mapped dev.local, the add-in refuses to load and just crashes. I'm on Word version 2002 build 12527.20194. Another word-addin that we host externally works fine.
What i've tried
I've been messing around with the settings in Internet Explorer (moving the sites to local zone, trusted zone, enabling and disabling the protection there).
I've upgraded Edge to edge Chromium. I've tried to use the Preview of
Edge Developer Tools, but that crashes when the error occurs.
I've tried using Fiddler and activate the runtime logging, but can't get more information on what's going wrong.
I've used the Yoman validation on the manifest.xml and everything checks out.
I've also enabled loopback through CheckNetIsolation LoopbackExempt -a -n="microsoft.win32webviewhost_cw5n1h2txyewy"
I'm pretty much at a loss now: what can I do to get more information on what's crashing the add-in?
OK so I managed to finally get this to work, leaving this here for anyone who might run into the same issues.
Because the local sideloading did work, I figured we needed to emulate the localhost situation with the docker. So I instructed the virtual machine to forward localhost:3000 to the Docker Toolbox port 443. I also copied over the SSL certificates generated by Yoman in <userhome>/.office-addin-dev-certs to the Nginx docker and instructed Nginx to use those SSL certificates for port 443.
I'm not entirely sure if adapting all of the other settings (such as enabling the loopback interface and using the about:flags page to always allow https on localhost are also neccesary, maybe just emulating the webserver on localhost is enough. Hope this helps someone!
I'm a new comer to using the overseas server. Recently I bought a vps from virmach in order to see foreign websites like google and wiki.
I've been trying for a long time configuring my shadowsocks on my server.
However, when I was using shadowsocks-qt5 to connect my server, it was timeout.
And of course I can't access google correctly.
What I want to ask is the reason why I failed.
Here are things that I do remember to do:
stop the firewall on both computers;
build the .json file which I referred to blogs in China.

I have not set up my own VPS but I have instead subscribed to the server provided by caonima.io, so I can't speak for any server related issues. Additionally, I have no affiliation with caonima.io. I did however successfully set up my client on Ubuntu 16.04 after having some issues connecting to GFW-blocked (China's Great FireWall) websites.
From what I understand from my solution, the client configuration is NOT the only step of setup. There are two layers of proxy access that need to be completed:
Client Configuration. Configure your client with the server and connection information. A successful connection looked like this for me with my command line interface

System or Browser Proxy Configuration. You will need to configure either your browser or web access tool to use a proxy, or set system-wide proxy settings. To set system wide proxy settings, go to system settings > network > network proxy and enter the proxy information. Setting Socks host to localhost:1080 resulted in successful GFW-blocked website access (as shown below)!

I'm trying to debug a Drupal 7 app with Xdebug. My app resides remotely in a server with Ubuntu running Apache.
In Netabeans, I started a proyect with "Application From Remote Server", connected with SFTP.
In the remote server I have installed Xdebug as zend_extension, also i configured xdebug.remote_connect_back=1, xdebug.remote_autostart=1, etc... I've tried everything with no luck.
The log from Xdebug has entries like this one:

Based on the log it seems that my computer is not visible from outside on port 9000. But port 9000 in my laptop is opened, listening, with Netbeans, that's what happens when a debug sessions starts.
I think it's a problem with my ISP. My IP is not only for me, so I can't manage it's ports or other configuration. I think my PC is not visible from outside.
So, the question is, how can I avoid this limitation? What could I debug my APP from my computer on a remote server?
Every answer is welcome. Using a program, using a service, both... I tried using pagekite but honestly I couldn't find a configuration that works for me.

remote_connect_back won't do it for you, it just tries to connect to the public ip, it's nothing magic.
Can you ssh on the remote server ? You might want to try port forwarding over a reverse ssh tunnel.

I have set up a google cloud sql server using the tutorial on youtube. However, Whenever I try to connect to it through the browser, the connect to it through the browser, the error i am getting is ERR_CONNECTION_REFUSED . The firewalls I have set up correlate to whats in the browser. I can also SSH into the VM. But the VM always rejects my connection. I have been trying for days.

In that video there are some steps missing such as install the web server (e.g. Apache) and PHP in the VM. After you install them, you can execute the following command in the VM:
php /var/www/index.php
If it works you can see the source code of the resulting page and if not you'll have an error to solve (maybe a package to install like php-mysql).
Once you can see the resulting page in the VM you can try to load the page through the browser of your machine. If it still doesn't work there is an Apache or network misconfiguration.
