IncompatibleClassChangeError When Deploying JAX-RS Application to Tomcat - rest

When I am running my web project from Eclipse on Tomcat 8 with JDK 8 everything works flawlessly, but once I build this project and deploy the WAR to Tomcat 8 on the server I get the following error:
java.lang.IncompatibleClassChangeError: com.sun.jersey.json.impl.provider.entity.JSONRootElementProvider and com.sun.jersey.json.impl.provider.entity.JSONRootElementProvider$Wadl disagree on InnerClasses attribute
I've tried everything, but it's still not working.
Here is my pom.xml file:

The above should match the same version as all your other Jersey dependencies. So just change it to 1.19.

Wrong Maven Exception

I am trying to make a new project in eclipse using Maven.
And I used simple "struts-archetype-blank" template of struts.
There is no spring dependencies in it. Still I am getting missing spring artifact error.
Is there any way to resolve the same? Or I am doing something wrong?

You are using struts2-junit-plugin which has transitive dependencies to Spring. Those dependencies are also available from the central Maven repository. For example spring-beans-4.1.6.RELEASE
Why the resolving of dependencies is not working cannot be seen in your question. It could be everything from misconfiguration (e.g. settings.xml, private repository, authentication) to network problems (e.g. private repository not reachable).
Your log4j2 version is also wrong. All log4j2 versions start with 2.the current version is 2.8.

Jersey 2 - minimal pom.xml for example bookstore, getting 404

I am trying to run this example
bookstore-webapp in Eclipse with Tomcat. There is no problem to run it, but when I want to build it from scratch with my pom.xml (no parent org.glassfish.jersey.examples) it returns allways 404. Maybe I am blind but I can't find in documentation what is the minimal pom.xml to run it.
My pom.xml is now

What dependencies need to be added for jasperreport 5.0.1?

I upgraded jasper report version from 4.5.0 to 5.1.0. When i install my plugin it throws error like some dependency missing. I would like to configure JasperReports 5.1.0 with Maven.
Execution default of goal org.codehaus.mojo:jasperreports-maven-plugin:1.0-beta-2:compile-reports failed: Plugin org.codehaus.mojo:jasperreports-maven-plugin:1.0-beta-2 or one of its dependencies could not be resolved: Failure to find com.lowagie:itext:jar:2.1.7.js2
I am having two queries.
1) I want to know what are all the dependency that I have to add in pom to use jasper report 5.1.0.
2) I am using below plugin to compile my jrxml files to jasper files. I see that issue in this plugin. What could be the issue in this plugin. Should I have to add any mirror ?
<groupId>org.codehaus.mojo</groupId>
<artifactId>jasperreports-maven-plugin</artifactId>
<version>1.0-beta-2</version>
My complete pom is, There may be extra dependencies other that jasper report, I am using it for my internal purpose.

For anyone having similar issues when using the JasperReports 5.x maven dependencies:
The jasper guys run a public maven repository where they publish bug fixes to their third party dependencies. These fixed versions are not always present in the public maven repo. So when you have problems with dependencies try to add the repository http://jasperreports.sourceforge.net/maven2.
For me, the solution was adding
<dependency>
<groupId>com.lowagie</groupId>
<artifactId>itext</artifactId>
<version>2.1.7</version>
</dependency>
This way it was not looking for the .js2 version and could resolve the dependency.

Look for "Running war on http://xxx" and
"Setting the server's publish address to be /yyy"
in console output; WSDL browser address will be
concatenation of the two: http://xxx/yyy?wsdl

The Debug goals are tomcat:run-war
After hitting a break point in the service I cannot step into third party dependencies such as Hibernate. However, if I run a Unit test from the same Maven web service project, I can step into Hibernate.
EDIT 1:
I ran into this and got some ideas about attaching source. Matter of fact, I am trying to debug Hibernate, so I edited source lookup and added paths to the following external archives in my .m2 repository:
hibernate-entitymanager-3.6.5.Final
hibernate-core-3.6.5.Final.
Saved changes and Eclipse still cannot find source to step into. Anyone out there?
Problem appears to be a know issue with Maven Plugin for Eclipse as indicated here.
This post was helpful but I found out that for hibernate 3.6.5, I had to add hibernate-core-3.6.5.Final-sources.jar to source lookup path instead of hibernate-core-3.6.5.Final.jar.
