Installing Eclipse with installer behind proxy

I downloaded latest Eclipse Mars package (June 2015). Now it's distributed with an installer. But the installer doesn't work because I'm behind proxy. How should I configure proxy settings for the installer?
Error I got:

Installing Sonar in eclipse without network

I am currently working on installing sonar into eclipse. The machienes I am installing them on, however, run on a private server. I cannot install from the eclipse marketplace. I was wondering how I can get the proper files needed to install the plug-in?
Same answer I gave on the Eclipse forums:
One option for installing on machines without Internet access would be if the Sonar plugin developers provide an Update Site Archive (which can be used from Eclipse's Install New Software wizard). Looking at their instructions it doesn't look like they do, but maybe you could reach out to them and ask for it. Producing an archive isn't much trouble if they're already publishing an update site (which it appears they are).
Another option exists, if you have at least one machine on that network that can install the plugin: share that machine's Eclipse installation folder on the network so other machines can see it, then use File > Import > Install > From Existing Installation to select the shared Eclipse folder where Sonar is installed.
Ticket created to provide a zipped update site for next version:

How to upgrade offline instance of sonarqube plugins

I have an instance of sonar on a machine not connected to the internet.
Spent lots of time going through sonarqube doc but do not see anything that addresses this.
The documented method is to use the web server's update center but that seems to only look to the internet for supported/available plugins.
Java and Findbugs plugins are at 2.4 with the fresh install of sonar 4.5.1 and the java plugin that can be downloaded is (executable jar file) is 2.5.1, so I'd like to get as current as I can.
Follow these steps.
Check what plugin version is the latest for your instance on the plugin version matrix documentation page
Download all plugin jars you need (beware of dependencies) by following the download link on each plugin page
Put the jar(s) in the SONARQUBE_HOME/extensions/plugins directory
Stop SonarQube
Start SonarQube
This should do the job.

Install Glassfish Eclipse Plugin without internet conenction?

I can't connect Eclipse to internet because of security issues in my work, i want to find a way to download the Glassfish Eclipse Plugin manually (Without using the Eclipse Market Place or Eclipse Install Wizard) and install it separately ...
I made many searches and all i found is how to install the Glassfish Eclipse Plugin using the download Link from Eclipse Plugin Installer ...
PS : Glassfish Server is already installed in my Laptop i just need the Eclipse Plugin.
From where can i download the Plugin ?
And how can i install it ?
GlassFish Tools is part of Oracle Enterprise Pack for Eclipse, which is offered in a number of different download formats, such as a ready-to-run Eclipse install and a downloadable repository. Either of these options is a good choice for users with connection problems. If you already have Eclipse installed, download the offline repository (may be called 'OEPE plugins only' on the download site). Then use the install plugins wizard, but point at the downloaded zip instead of a public URL. Make sure to uncheck the consult other repositories option to keep Eclipse from wandering to the network unnecessary.

A good Eclipse for PHP in Ubuntu 11.10 tutorial

Well I´m just moving in to Linux, so I´m using Ubuntu, I installed Ubuntu 11.10, so I was wondering if anyone can give me a hand on how to install succesfuly Eclipse to develope in PHP, I used to use Eclipse Helios (Windows 7), but helios is not inside Ubuntu´s repository, so I guess I´ll have to try it manually. Still prefer to download it from repository not so good with command lines.
Anyone knows a good tutorial?, I´m a newbie in linux so please be very descriptive.
This is an older thread so don't know whether this is still helpfull. Why do you need helios? If you go to the help -> install new software in eclipse then select indigo update site end search for pdt (php development kit). Then install and restart afterwards and their you have a php-perspective with pretty much everything you will need.
Welcome to ubuntu. Their forums are very good as well. To get started you should always use Synaptic or Aptitude APT to get and install packages (software) in Ubuntu. That way the system knows and tracks release and upgrade info.
So open Synaptic and search for Eclipse.. Check it "Marked for Installation" and apply it. It will then install the Eclipse distro for your release. From there it is the same as windows in terms of configuring and installing plug-ins, etc.. It will be installed in "Applications -> Programming"
There is also a Software Center in Ubuntu that may also have Eclipse and other dev tools. You may also need to install "server headers" in you Ubuntu environment to get the dev-tools. I am not sure in 11.10
